Abstract

This study aims to find out one of the traditional series of Bugis marriage, namely mappacci as a medium of community messages in Bone Regency. Research method applied is qualitative research and data collection techniques are in the form of interview, observation, and library study. The result shows that the meanings contained in the process of mappacci are a form of hope and pray for the welfare and happiness of the bride and groom in a summarized word from nine equipment, namely pillow, silk sarong, jackfruit leaves, banana shoots, pacci leaves, rice, candle, pacci holders, brown sugar, and coconut. The Bugis-Bone community maintains their culture from their ancestor and it is hoped that the young generations can preserve the culture. The tradition of culture in Bugis traditional marriage ceremony in Bone Regency contains a life message values and meanings with a goodness. As one of the cultural heritages of archipelago, it is a duty of young generations to care for and preserve the Bugis culture by respecting and appreciating it, maintaining and filtering it from the outside cultures, and growing love to local culture in early ages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai  pada tenaga kependidikan fakultas keperawatan universitas hasanuddin. Untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada tenaga kependidikan fakultas keperawatan universitas hasanuddin. Untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelatihan pengembangan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada tenaga kependidikan fakultas keperawatan universitas hasanuddin. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan sumber data yang digunakan adalah berupa data primer. Populasi penelitian adalah tenaga kependidikan fakultas keperawatan universitas hasanuddin. dengan sampel sebanyak 30 pegawai. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Uji Asumsi Klasik, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, analisis data, analisis deskriptif dengan variabel lingkungan kerja (X1), disiplin kerja (X2), dan pelatihan (X3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil analisa data Variabel Lingkungan Kerja (X1) berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (Y). Variabel Disiplin Kerja (X2) berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (Y). Variabel Pelatihan (X3) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai (Y).

Abstract

The study explores the relationship between digital literacy, exposure to AI-generated deepfake videos, and the ability to identify deepfakes by Generation X in Indonesia who are currently between the ages of 43 and 58. It also analyzes the impact of deepfake identification capabilities on the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of internet users. Through a survey involving 199 respondents taken from a total population of 42 million Generation X internet users in Indonesia, it applied a random sampling method. The sample size was determined by the Slovin formula with a confidence level of 90% and a margin of error of 7.1%. The descriptive analysis shows a moderate level of digital literacy and relatively low exposure to deepfakes. However, the ability to identify deepfakes was found to be low. The results of inferential statistical analysis show that digital literacy and exposure to deepfakes do not have a significant influence on the ability to identify deepfakes. Additionally, the ability to identify deepfakes does not significantly affect cognition, compassion, or behavior. While digital literacy is important, these findings reinforce the assumptions of Generation Theory and Media Dependency Theory. Additionally, it suggests that specific training on media manipulation technologies is needed to improve deepfake detection capabilities. This research implies that efforts to improve digital literacy should be expanded, including technical skills and critical thinking relevant to manipulative media such as deepfakes.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of social media marketing on customer loyalty with brand image and brand awareness as mediating variables. A survey approach with quantitative data was conducted among subscribers of Harian Berita in Ambon, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that social media marketing has a positive impact on customer loyalty. When companies build and promote brand image and brand awareness through social media, it significantly enhances customer loyalty in the era of technological advancement. The study confirms that social media marketing positively influences customer loyalty both directly and indirectly through the development of brand image and brand awareness. These findings have important implications for the development of digital marketing strategies and brand excellence. Strengthening brand presence through social media can improve customer loyalty and contribute to increased company revenue in a competitive business environment.

Abstract

This article substantive describes The Theory of Speaking Codes from Gerry Philipsen. Briefly, these include background birth of the theory; the substance of Speaking Code Theory; shape/appearance of ethnography; criticism of the theory; and conclusion. The discussion showed that one of the five core theory is related to the arguments stated in the form of propositions, that “where there is a cultural difference, there will be found different speaking code". From the meaning of ‘postulate referred to’ in relation to a number of example case about the working Theory of Speaking Codes in reality daily life before that, this indicates that for Indonesia this theory can actually be a confirmation and practical guidance for each individual of an Indonesian ethnic community nation in cross-cultural communication in order to make harmonization.
