Abstract

Terapi suatu obat yang bersamaan dengan konsumsi makanan dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas obat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh praperlakuan jus kubis bunga (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis L.) terhadap aktivitas diklofenak dalam terapi inflamasi pada tikus putih jantan galur Wistar. Tiga puluh ekor tikus dibagi enam kelompok secara acak. Kelompok I (kontrol negatif) hanya diberi aquadest, kelompok II (kontrol positif) diberikan perlakuan natrium diklofenak dosis 5,04 mg/kg BB secara peroral. Kelompok III diberi praperlakuan jus kubis bunga dosis 20 ml/kg BB 1 jam sebelum perlakuan natrium diklofenak. Kelompok IV diberi praperlakuan jus kubis bunga dosis 20 ml/kg BB 1 hari sebelum perlakuan natrium diklofenak. Kelompok V diberi praperlakuan jus kubis bunga dosis tunggal 20 ml/kg BB selama 3 hari sebelum perlakuan natrium diklofenak dan kelompok VI diberi praperlakuan jus kubis bunga dosis tunggal 20 ml/kg BB selama 5 hari sebelum perlakuan natrium diklofenak. Tiga puluh menit setelah perlakuan natrium diklofenak, kemudian telapak kaki tikus diinjeksi dengan karagenin 1% sebanyak 0,10 ml secara subplantar. Volume udema diukur dari jam ke-0 sampai jam ke-5 setelah injeksi karagenin menggunakan pletismometer. Hasil analisa statistik data AUC dan DAI menunjukkan bahwa praperlakuan jus kubis bunga yang diberikan 1 jam sebelum pemberian natrium diklofenak tidak memperlihatkan perubahan yang bermakna terhadap kontrol positif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praperlakuan jus kubis bunga selama 3 hari dan 5 hari mampu menurunkan daya antiinflamasi dari diklofenak, sehingga terapi inflamasi dengan diklofenak menjadi tidak maksimal.

Abstract

Background: Fruitghurt, the result of fruit or fruit by-product fermentation, is a functional food. Functional foods are foods that are rich in benefits. A formulation of hyloceregurt has been derived from the stem and peel of the dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus), with potential as an immunomodulatory agent. Objectives: This study is aimed at determining the quality of hyloceregurt. Material and Methods: Hyloceregurt formula variations are made from fermented stem powder, fruit peel powder, or dragon fruit peel juice. The test include physical characteristics, chemical analysis, microbiology analysis, and hedonic test. Results: Hyloceregurt formula from the stems of the plant and the peel of the dragon fruit has almost the same physical characteristics that include a distinctive smell, an acidic taste with a pH ranging from 3-5, and a thick liquid consistency. The color of the hyloceregurt follows the waste of the dragon fruit used (pink and green). The chemical characteristics of hyloceregurt have met the SNI standard, including fat content with a range of 3.1-3.6% and protein content with a range of 4.95–6.74% b/b. The microbiological characteristics of hyloceregurt indicate that the value of the total plate figure is in the range of 1.1-3.3 x 109 CFU/mL. Panelists on the hedonic test preferred three formulas: 1% hyloceregurt from the peel powder or fresh peel fruit juice, and dragon fruit plant stems based on smell, taste, color, and consistency. Conclusions: All formulas in 1% fruit or by-fruit were the most preferred formulas, and based on the best physical characteristic tests and chemical content analysis, met the requirements of SNI 2981 of 2009. However, microbiologically, they still did not meet the requirements of SNI 2981 of 2009, so further tests still need to be carried out.

Abstract

Makanan berkualitas dan bergizi adalah landasan kesehatan anak dan bermanfaat seumur hidup. Mayoritas anak tidak suka makan sayur, karena rasanya tidak enak dibandingkan jenis makanan lain (lauk pauk). Pemberian edukasi tentang sayuran dan nilai gizinya serta mengolah sayur menjadi makanan yang lebih menarik merupakan cara yang dapat ditempuh untuk meningkatkan konsumsi sayuran pada anak. Edukasi tentang sayuran dan pelatihan pembuatan es krim dari sawi dilaksanakan kepada siswa SD IT Permata Bunda Pucang Gading. Kegiatan dilakukan secara interaktif dengan melibatkan siswa dalam praktek pembuatan es krim dan memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk bertanya secara langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut adalah siswa mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang sayuran dan nilai gizinya, serta pengalaman dan keterampilan membuat es krim sebagai produk olahan dari sawi. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini diharapkan mengubah persepsi anak-anak terhadap sayuran, dapat mengaplikasikan tehnik pembuatan es krim menggunakan sawi secara sederhana dan dapat meningkatkan konsumsi siswa dalam mengkonsumsi sayuran dan buah.

Abstract

Fresh cow’s milk has weaknesses, namely it is easily perishable and its shelf life tends to be short. Processing fresh cow’s milk into product is one of the efforts to extend the shelf life of cow’s milk. One of the products that can be made from fresh milk is soap. The ingredients used in making soap are quite simple and widely available in the market at relatively cheap prices. Rosemary can be used as an additive in manufacture of cow’s milk soap. The target of making envirometally friendly soap is directed at people who have dairy cows. The goal to be achieved is to increase the value of cow’s comodity and increase entrepreurship by producing and marketing enviromentally friendly soap and being able to solve the problem of relatively short milk shelf life. This service is divided into several stages. At this stage, a training process was carried out on making soap from fresh cow’s milk waste and marketing methods for the product. It is hoped that milk that can be consumed again can be processed into soap using active ingredients from rosemary, so that the soap produced can increase added value both economically and for the environment. The results of this community service is solid soap using raw materials from milk waste and rosmeray. This community service activity was received with great enthusiasm by the participants who took part in the training on how to make cow's milk soap. There is a significant difference (p<0.05) in the results of the pretest and posttest questionnaires, indicating an increase in understanding of the material presented in this community service activity. This activity has been successfully implemented.

Abstract

Caesarean delivery (caesarean section) continues to increase in Indonesia. Surgical Site Infection (SSI) is a serious issue that can increase morbidity and length of hospital stay. The use of prophylactic antibiotics has been proven to prevent the occurrence of surgical site infections (SSI) in caesarean sections. The hospital has established antibiotic use guidelines as the standard for antibiotic therapy and prophylactic antibiotic use in surgical procedures. This study aimed to see how well the use of antibiotics before caesarean sections matched the hospital's guidelines and how this related to the rate of surgical site infections (SSI). The cross-sectional method determined the relationship between the appropriateness of prophylactic antibiotics and the incidence of SSI. The study used retrospective data from caesarean section patients at Hospital "X" Semarang who received prophylactic antibiotics between January 2023 and June 2024. The research results showed no significant relationship (P0.05) between the appropriateness of prophylactic antibiotic use and the incidence of SSI. The data showed that preventive antibiotics (ampicillin-sulbactam and cefazoline injection) were mostly used correctly in several areas: the right antibiotic was chosen 87% of the time, the correct dosage was used 83% of the time, the right way of giving the injection was followed 92.7% of the time, and the correct length of time for the injection was also followed 92.7% of the time. Nonetheless, there are some discrepancies, namely in the timing of post-cesarean antibiotic therapy (94%), and preventive antibiotic administration (57.7%). During that time, the SSI rate was 2.67%.

Abstract

Neuroprotective drugs are used to reduce the occurrence of cell damage due to obstruction of blood flow that supplies oxygen to the brain, thus limiting the tissue that experiences ischemia. However, the relatively high cost of treatment in ischemic stroke patients requires a cost-effectiveness analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of ischemic stroke patient treatment and the cost-effectiveness between the use of the neuroprotective drug citicoline and the combination of citicolin-piracetam injections at Bhakti Wira Tamtama Hospital Semarang. This study is a descriptive study with retrospective data collection techniques and purposive sampling. The effectiveness of neuroprotective drugs used in ischemic stroke patients was assessed from the average length of stay or LOS. The average LOS in the study was 3.17 days for a single citicolin injection and 3.7 days for a combination of citicolin-piracetam injections. Cost-Effectiveness Analysis was obtained by calculating the Average Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) value of the average direct medical costs of using a single citicolin and a combination of citicolin-piracetam injections. Based on the ACER calculations, the most cost-effective neuroprotective drug is the combination of citicoline-piracetam injections with an ACER value of 1,651,786/day.
