Abstract

The rainfall in the Cilacap region is high, about 80-100mm in October-March. The high rainfall that causes the overflow of river water is unpredictable. The high water discharge is not realized until the river water overflows and causes flooding. Therefore, a river water level monitoring system is needed to detect river overflows early. This tool uses a solar cell as a power supply. The monitoring system is divided into two points of river water level monitoring system with a distance between points for the laboratory scale stage, which is 100 meters. Sensors that measure the height of river flow are ultrasonic sensors. The sensor results are processed by microcontroller and SIM 900 L module to be sent to the database. When the water level is in the Alert level 3, the buzzer will sound as a warning. The ultrasonic sensor test results have a very small error. Sensor 1 has an average error of 0.00023% and ultrasonic sensor 2 has an error of 0.00016%. The system is able to transmit river water level data that can be accessed through the website.

Abstract

Tempat sampah otomatis adalah sebuah alat yang mempermudah seseorang dalam membuang sampah. Tutup tempat sampah yang dapat membuka dan menutup secara otomatis memiliki tujuan agar menghindari terinfeksinya bakteri pada tutup. Penumpukan sampah dapat menyebabkan bau tidak sedap hingga polusi udara. Tempat sampah otomatis di luar ruangan sangat sulit terakses listrik sehingga diperlukan penyuplai listrik portable. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pembuatan tempat sampah otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan sistem hybrid PV-grid. Sistem ini menambahkan fungsi dari tempat sampah otomatis yaitu untuk memberikan notifikasi terhadap petugas kebersihan jika tempat sampah telah penuh. Sistem suplai listrik menggunakan hybrid dua penyulangan yaitu photovoltaic (PV) dan listrik konvensional (grid). Perancangan sistem kontrol tempat sampah otomatis menggunakan sensor ultrasonik, modul mikrokontroler Arduino Uno, dan modul GSM. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan pengisian baterai hingga penuh membutuhkan waktu 3,39 jam dan mengirimkan notifikasi jika sensor ultrasonik mendeteksi sampah dengan jarak 20 cm selama 5 detik. Sistem pemberitahuan notifikasi juga berhasil dikirimkan menggunakan media SMS.

Abstract

One technology that uses satellite capabilities that can capture the image of an area is the MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) sensor, the resulting image may experience noise (noise) this is caused when sending through the transmission line, the image is too dark or bright, the image less sharp or blurred. For that we need a method of noise reduction such as remote sensing through satellite imagery. The purpose of this study is to apply the Gaussian lowpass filter method in improving the quality of fashionable satellite imagery in order to have good image quality. The results of PSNR show the highest value on the MOD_04 image, with smoother image results, the resulting PSNR value is 19.7791 higher than other images, where the higher the PSNR value, the better the resulting image.

Abstract

Teachers are currently required to use learning media, in accordance with government regulations. Learning media are used for teaching materials for student learning. Learning evaluation can consist of questions or quizzes using multiple choice quiz. Evaluation of student learning by using learning media is one of the things which teachers of IT PLUS BAZMA Briliant High School. Therefore, STT Dumai held community service for IT PLUS BAZMA Brilliant High School Teachers, namely, Training to Make Multiple Choice Test Using Ms. Office Power Point for IT Plus Bazma Brilliant High School Teachers on Wednesday, January 30, 2018. Training provided for three materials, namely techniques and things to consider in making Power Point, the use of features in Power Point, and make a quiz with Power Point. The training was attended by 19 teachers and held for approximately 2 hours. The training begins with the implementing material ending with practice. The material given by sequence is in accordance with the desired goals, namely making learning material and also student learning.

Abstract

Penitentiary (LP) is a correctional facility in which there are assisted residents consisting of convicts. The social organization aims to ensure that its assisted residents are aware of the mistakes that have been made before and can improve themselves so that they do not fall into the same mistakes. In order to achieve this goal, the government has formulated the concept of structured guidance, training and empowerment in the field of religion or expertise for assisted residents so that they can have the ability after leaving the correctional institution. One of the well-known Penitentiary (LP) is in Cilacap Regency, precisely on the island of Nusa Kambangan. The penitentiary is called Lapas Permisan Nusa Kambangan. In this institution there are trainings for assisted residents so that after leaving the prison they can have business opportunities or get jobs to support their daily lives. One of them is training in making calligraphy in the form of figures, batik, etc. To make this happen. Therefore the Electrical Engineering Study Program will conduct training activities on how to assemble a dot matrix and its control devices to make running text and prayer time schedules. This activity is a positive alternative for the assisted residents, increasing the abilities and insights that will be used when they graduate as assisted residents or leave the Permisan Nusa Kambangan Prison. This training was held for 3 meetings with the preparation of modules and lesson plans to be adjusted.

Abstract

Kadar oksigen dan suhu dalam air budidaya harus diperhatikan dengan baik. Jika kadar oksigen dan suhu tidak diperhatikan maka akan berakibat fatal pada metabolisme tubuh ikan sehingga energi pada ikan untuk bergerak, berkembang, dan bereproduksi akan terganggu. Hal tersebut juga dapat menyebabkan kematian pada ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) untuk memonitoring kadar oksigen dan suhu pada air kolam budidaya ikan lele. Metode yang digunakan adalah merancang sebuah sistem kontrol monitoring oksigen dan suhu pada air kolam budidaya terintegrasi ke internet menggunakan Arduino WiFi serta sensor Disolved Oxygen (DO) dan sensor suhu DS18B20 untuk pengambilan data. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara realtime. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat bekerja dengan hasil kadar oksigen dan suhu dapat dimonitoring melalui pengiriman data ke dalam database dan ditampilkan pada website serta mobile phone.

Abstract

Limitations in knowledge in managing an online scientific journal following the standards and skill level possessed by journal managers, mainly operating the Open Journal System (OJS) application, are obstacles faced by several universities in the Cilacap Regency area. The solution proposed in this article is a training activity in the form of a workshop held for managers of higher education journals in the Cilacap area to increase knowledge and skills in managing journals using OJS. The stages of the activity are carried out through several stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, the activity evaluation, and last stage is the mentoring stage. The results of the training provided a fairly good impact and affected the level of knowledge of the participants in managing OJS-based journals. The results of the assistance from the activities show an increase in interest for universities that do not yet have journals to want to make them, in addition to a rise in the status of journals that have been published to become accredited journals.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan bencana alam yang harus di waspadai oleh masyarakat sekitar aliran sungai. Fenomena bencana banjir sering menyebabkan kerusakan harta benda bahkan sampai merenggut korban jiwa [1]. Banjir disebabkan oleh daerah resapan atau saluran air yang tidak berfungsi dengan baik, serta adanya intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi menyebabkan aliran masuk lebih besar dibandingkan aliran keluar [2]. Maka perlu dibuat media komunikasi yang dapat mengirimkan informasi kepada masyarakat jika akan ada banjir yang datang. Pengumpulan data pada daerah sekitar sungai seperti ketinggian aliran sungai, curah hujan di aliran sungai serta kelembaban udara dialiran sungai sangat diperlukan untuk dapat diolah sehingga dapat prediksi akan adanya banjirData – data tersebut diambil dengan menggunakan beberapa sensor seperti rain gauge  (sensor curah hujan), anemometer (sensor kecepatan angin), sensor SR04T ( pendeteksi ketinggian air), sensor DHT11 ( sensor suhu dan kelembaban udara). Sensor tersebut diintegrasikan menggunakan arduino mega lalu di kirimkan datanya melalui modul gsm sim 800L. Data tersebut akan dikirimkan ke sistem cloud dan database, serta ditampilkan pada website. Sistem monitoring telah bekerja mengirimkan data – data yang diperlukan. Data – data tersebut menghasilkan bahwa saat keadaan hujan keadaan lingkungan disekitar sistem pernodenya mempunyai suhu 250C sampai 270C. Kelembaban 99 Rh, Ketinggian Air 102 cm sampai 104 cm, curah hujan 20 ml/s dan kecepatan angin antara 2 m/s sampai 6 m/s.

Abstract

Banjarwaru Village is located in Nusa Wungu District and has several hamlets connected to the main road as access to transportation facilities. The lack of street lighting hampers the activities of village residents, especially at night. Road points that do not have public street lighting are far from residents' homes, so they cannot use PLN electricity sources. Seeing the conditions explained above, the need for technology with energy sources that utilize renewable energy such as solar power to supply power to public street lights has been widely implemented. Making street lights with a solar power supply with the application of modern technology is the main priority in this community service activity. The main target objective of this Community Service is the Public Street Lighting Program through the manufacture of street lights with power supply from solar energy. The implementation method in this service is through observation and experiments in the field in the process of designing and manufacturing public street lights and handing over technology transfer to the community. The results of making public street lights with solar energy supply using Arduino Mega which functions to receive data from the LDR sensor and is continued with testing battery charging with solar power. The installation of the LDR sensor will help the efficiency of the lights because it will control the lights to turn on automatically. The results of the manufacture of public street lights also provided assistance and training to the Banjarwaru Village community regarding how the equipment works and the repair process if problems arise in the future.

Abstract

Technological developments in materials are increasingly evolving, one form of development is the type of composite insulation. One of the natural fiber composites currently available is a composite from palm fiber which provides increased dielectric strength. Partial discharge due to voids in the composite results in structures such as electrical treeing due to changes in the properties and morphology of the composite causing increased insulation failure and disrupting power distribution. This research tested the strength of Epoxy composite insulation and palm leaf ash filler. By combining these two materials, a complementary composite insulating material will be formed to prevent electrical treeing. The results of the research show that the composite insulating material with nipa palm fiber as filler has an average breakdown voltage value of 40 kV and is above the standard breakdown voltage value for medium voltage insulators of 30 kV. The addition of more and more palm leaf ash filling material will produce voids, thereby accelerating the occurrence of electrical treeing and decreasing the breakdown voltage of the insulation.
