Abstract

The purpose of this study are: to determine an increase in cognitive learning outcomes, to grow the students science process skills, to form students character, to improve students activities, and to grow positive attitudes of students after they use of simulation ICT media as a substitute experiments on learning measuring instruments. The research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014 in junior high school Muhammadiyah Pringsewu. The research used purposive sampling technique, select one class from all over the existing class VII. Sample of research was 25 students of class VII 1. The research design is used an One-Shot Case Study. Based on the results of a study using simulation ICT media as a substitute experiments on measuring instruments learning increased cognitive learning outcomes of students, can grow science process skill of students, form the character of students, to improve students activities, and to grow a positive attitude of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar ranah kognitif, menumbuhkan KPS, membentuk karakter, mengembangkan aktivitas, dan menumbuhkan sikap positif siswa setelah pemanfaatan media TIK simulasi sebagai substitute eksperimen pada pembelajaran alat ukur. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2013/2014 di SMP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu, Kabupaten Pringsewu. Penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga dipilih satu kelas dari seluruh kelas VII yang ada. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa dari kelas VII 1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian memanfaatkan media TIK simulasi sebagai substitute eksperimen pada pembelajaran alat ukur diketahui terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa, dapat menumbuhkan KPS siswa, dapat membentuk karakter siswa, dapat mengembangkan aktivitas siswa, dan dapat menumbuhkan sikap positif siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas, karakter, keterampilan proses sains, media TIK simulasi, substitute eksperimen

Abstract

The extraction of natural dyes was carried out on plants with different types of natural dyes. Dye curcumin from turmeric extract (Curcuma longa), chlorophyll dye extraction of alga (Bryophyta), and anthocyanin  dye from red cabbage plants (brassica oleracea) and adam eva plant (tradescantia spathacea). The trituration of each plant was then extracted using ethanol in a ratio of 1 gr: 5 ml with a stirring process for 24 hours. Measurement absorption ability of natural dyes was done using the UV-Visible Lambda Spectrophotometer 25. The peak absorption of dye curcumin was in the wavelength range of 350-500 nm with the peak wave absorbance at 447 nm. The peak absorption of anthocyanin red cabbage dye is in the wavelength range of 327-384 nm. Dye chlorophyll and anthocyanin dye of adam eva plant had wavelength absorbance in the range of visible light and infrared with absorbance peaks at 419 nm and 674 nm.

Abstract

Kadar oksigen dan suhu dalam air budidaya harus diperhatikan dengan baik. Jika kadar oksigen dan suhu tidak diperhatikan maka akan berakibat fatal pada metabolisme tubuh ikan sehingga energi pada ikan untuk bergerak, berkembang, dan bereproduksi akan terganggu. Hal tersebut juga dapat menyebabkan kematian pada ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) untuk memonitoring kadar oksigen dan suhu pada air kolam budidaya ikan lele. Metode yang digunakan adalah merancang sebuah sistem kontrol monitoring oksigen dan suhu pada air kolam budidaya terintegrasi ke internet menggunakan Arduino WiFi serta sensor Disolved Oxygen (DO) dan sensor suhu DS18B20 untuk pengambilan data. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara realtime. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat bekerja dengan hasil kadar oksigen dan suhu dapat dimonitoring melalui pengiriman data ke dalam database dan ditampilkan pada website serta mobile phone.

Abstract

Penggunaan terapi cairan intravena membutuhkan pengawasan yang ketat. Oleh sebab itu, proses penggantian cairan intravena yang telah mencapai batas minimum harus dilakukan secara tepat dan cepat, sehingga tidak mengakibatkan keterlambatan penggantian cairan intravena. Rentang rata-rata suhu normal pada tempat pengukuran suhu aksila adalah 34,7-37,3°C. Suhu tubuh yang meningkat dari rentang suhu normal disebut demam, yang mana harus memerlukan penanganan cepat dan selalu terpantau perubahan suhunya. Sistem ini menggunakan dua Panel Monitoring Pasien dan satu Panel Monitoring Perawat yang masing-masing menggunakan Arduino Mega 2560 sebagai mikrokontrolernya, sensor suhu DS18B20 dan sensor load cell, serta NRF24L01+ sebagai modul komunikasi nirkabel. Masing-masing panel monitoring terdapat LED sebagai indikator saat suhu tubuh pasien melebihi 37,3°C dan volume cairan intravena dibawah 30ml. Sensor load cell membaca nilai volume dengan akurat, sedangkan sensor suhu DS18B20 memiliki persentase error sebesar 0,47-0,52%. Panel monitoring pasien dapat memonitoring secara real time dan mengirim data suhu, dan volume cairan intravena pasien ke panel monitoring perawat. Panel monitoring perawat dilengkapi dengan buzzer untuk alarm setiap pukul 08.00, 12.00, 17.00 dan 21.00 serta LED indikator volume dan suhu. Komunikasi nirkabel antara node sensor dengan node master dapat berkomunikasi dengan optimal pada rentang jarak 1 sampai 12 meter dengan dinding tembok sebagai penghalang.

Abstract

Mangrove Forest which is located at Karang Talun village, Tritih Kulon sub-district, North Cilacap, Central Java has a various potentials to develop. Its development can be conducted by utilizing local community for participating to improve with mastery of English language. Thus, it is necessary to conduct empowerment of local community through English language training to create qualified ones who can support in tourism field. The purpose of this training is to improve their English language skill and increase their economy and be able to survive by being local tour guide in the New Normal. There were 15 participants consist of traders and some employees who work in Mangrove forest. It was conducted for three days and used some methods, namely preaching method i.e, giving theory and practice learning on each unit of learning and drilling and repetition method. In addition, they were given pre test and post test to evaluate each participant’s skill. From the result, the participant’s skill in pronunciation, vocabulary and practicing dialogue has improved, but it still needs more practices. Drilling and repetition method in learning activity has been success to be applied for participants

Abstract

Abstract

Renewable energy is one of the efforts to utilize electricity from renewable energy sources. Hydroelectric power is one of the plants that utilizes water as the main energy. Although the amount of energy is abundant, but in Indonesia the use of water as a power plant is still below 7%. This is due to the lack of human resources to manage water energy. Therefore, in this study, a simulation of a pico-hydro power plant using a screw turbine was designed which is expected to provide benefits. This tool is equipped with digital monitoring using Arduino Uno. Power monitoring on this tool uses the INA219 power sensor which is displayed on the LCD display. This tool uses a 12-24V DC generator. The turbine used is a screw turbine type. This pico-hydro power plant simulation is capable of turning on a load equivalent to 1 lamp of 10 watts/12 VAC with an inverter. The measurement of the current and voltage of the generator shows that the average current reaches 11.75 mA and the average voltage produced is 2.11 VDC and the power generated is 24.82 mW. The resulting step-up voltage measurement to charge the battery is 13.04 VDC and the current is 12.4 mA and the battery charging power is 0.161 watts.

Abstract

Exploration of plant variations is required to determine the absorbance ability and potential utilization of dye in the development of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). Extraction of four different plants was carried out to obtain three different types of natural dyes. The curcumin dye was obtained from the extraction of Curcuma longa, the chlorophyl dye was obtained from the extraction of Bryophytes, the anthocyanin dye was obtained from the extraction of Brassica oleracea var capitata f. rubra, and Tradescantia spathacea. The research was conducted to determine the absorbance capability of each different type of dye and the image of the thin layer of TiO2 nanofiber used by DSSC. Extraction is carried out through a drying and pounding process. The powder of each plant was then synthesized using ethanol through a homogenization process for 12 hours. The research utilizes a spectrophotometer UV-Visible to determine the wavelength of the natural dye, as well as a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to determine the size of the titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin film nanofiber based on the displayed image. DSSC utilizes TiO2 nanofiber as a thin layer of semiconductor. The dye absorption peak is in the wavelength range of 350-500 nm and 650-700 nm. Based on the analysis of absorbance results, curcumin dye has the greatest potential to be used in DSSC with the highest absorption ability in all its occurrences at visible light wavelengths.

Abstract

IoT devices can range from smart home devices such as thermostats and security systems to industrial control systems used in manufacturing and other industries. One focus of the IoT-based monitoring and control concept is monitoring and controlling water heaters based on IoT technology to support the creation of a smart home. The purpose of this research is to create a system that can control and monitor water heaters remotely using the Android Studio application so that the water temperature in the heater can be ensured for safety, comfort, reliability, and energy efficiency. The system is designed using temperature sensors and water flow sensors, and then the data is processed with the NodeMCU microcontroller and then sent to the Firebase website to be displayed on the application. The application built can set a large amount of water and heat it to the desired temperature before sending it to Firebase and then to NodeMCU. The result of this research is an application that is able to control and monitor a water heater with an average measurement difference of 0.38 liters and an average error percentage of 7.11% The relay control system in the application has an average delay time of 3.6 seconds.

Abstract

  Abstract— Masalah sampah merupakan masalah yang cukup berpotensi menyebabkan dampak buruk bagi lingkungan di perkotaan maupun di pedesaan. Penumpukan sampah berpotensi terhadap adanya banjir yaitu penumpukan sampah pada saluran air ataupun di sungai. Pada mayoritas masyarakat perkotaan, sampah secara illegal dibuang pada badan sungai atau pun sengaja ditunpuk pada bantaran sungai. Hal tersebut akan menyebabkan pencemaran pada air sungai dan mengurangi ketinggian irigasi sungai. Berdasarkan data dari Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan tercatat sampah nasional mencapai 67,8 juta ton per tahun 2020. Hal tersebut berarti sampah penduduk Indonesia mencapai 185.753 ton per hari. Perancangan prototipe alat konveyor pembersih sampah pada air sungai didesain dengan notifikasi SMS berbasis arduino uno. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan pengaturan sudut atau tinggi ujung konveyor yang digunakan untuk mengambil sampah berdasarkan ketinggian air sungai. Mekanisme pengaturan sudut konveyor menggunakan sebuah motor stepper. Notifikasi SMS ke nomer tujuan berisi informasi status bak penampungan sampah yang telah penuh menggunakan modul SIM800L. Pengangkatan sampah jenis kotak karton dan kayu, diketahui memiliki rata-rata tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 66% untuk jenis sampah kotak karton dan 76% untuk sampah jenis kayu. Terdapat perbedaan tingkat keberhasilan konveyor dalam mengangkat sampah, jenis sampah kotak karton memiliki keberhasilan pembersihan lebih rendah tingkat dibanding dengan jenis sampah kayu. Pengangkutan sampah mendapatkan rata-rata durasi waktu pengangkatan sampah sebesar 17,4 detik. Lama durasi ini dipengaruhi oleh proses pengangkatan sampah oleh konveyor 1 yang lebih banyak memakan waktu, dikarenakan antara sampah dengan bel konveyor cukup licin sehingga sampah terkadang cukup sulit untuk dapat terangkat.
