Abstract

Research relating to the leadership of principals in Indonesia generally uses indicators from various theories and literatures. In fact, principal, teachers and staff who are directly involved with the activities of school principals, of course, they have their own criteria and indicators relate to good principal leadership. This study aims to explore and find the good principal leadership indicators based on principals, teachers, and administration staff perspectives. An open question about the characteristics of a good principal ledership was asked to 124 respondents (12 principals, 93 teachers, and 19 administrative staff). The answer is directed and written at least 3 characteristics words. Furthermore, 670 statement as answers were analyzed qualitatively to take the similarity of meaning and there are 36 Statements with different meaning. Quantitative analysis is done to sort the indicators based on Response Indeks (RI). The results show there are 29 indicators, namely: Wise, Honest, To be responsible, Role models,  Discipline, Assertive, Charimatic, Mastering IT, Fair, Smart, Visionary, Transparent, Democratic, Responsive, Open, Friendly, Protect, Humble, Communicative, Motivator, Souled leader,  Able to solve problems, Creative, Loyal, Professional, Social soul, Self-Cofidence, and Trustful.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap literasi matematika siswa sekolah menengah pertama pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Kabupaten Indramayu-Jawa Barat, yang berjumlah 47 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara. Proses dan analisa data dilakukan berdasarkan modifikasi analisis data Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi tahapan pengumpulan data, pengkodean, reduksi data, keabsahan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi matematika siswa sekolah menengah pertama masih rendah. Hal ini dilihat berdasarkan persentasi banyaknya siswa yang memperoleh skor literasi matematika dalam kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah secara berturut-turut sebesar 34,04%; 14,89%; dan 51,06%. Dengan demikian, guru perlu menggunakan strategi dan atau model pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk memfasilitasi literasi matematika siswa.

Abstract

Perkembangan metodologi penelitian telah berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informatika, terutama perkembangan teknologi komputer dan mobile phone atau Handphone (HP). Perkembangan tersebut berdampak pada perkembangan masalah sosial yang dihadapi masyarakat. Akibatnya, penelitian untuk mencari solusi permasalahan pun bervariatif. Hal tersebut menyebabkan perkembangan sistematika penulisan karya tulis menjadi semakin variatif pula. Oleh karena itu, para pembimbing karya tulis akademik (Skripsi, Tugas Ahir, Tesis) tidak cukup hanya berbekal pengalaman semasa menulis karya tulis akademiknya, namun perlu mmengikuti perkembangan metodologi penelitian kekinian. Salah satu hal yang kadang dianggap sepele namun cukup menentukan keberhasilan seorang penulis adalah penyusunan Outline karya ilmiah. Outline karya ilmiah akan bervariatif seiring variatif metodologi penelitian. Sementara serigkali para penulis maupun pembimbing terjebak pada contoh karya tulis yang lalu maupun pengalaman pembimbing semasa menyelesaikan studinya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka tulisan ini akan membahas tetang perkembangan metodologi penelitian, perkembangan alat bantu statistik, dan Outline karya tulis akademik. Adapun tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk memberikan bekal wawasan kepada para dosen (terutama dosen muda), agar mampu membimbing mahasiswa secara dinamis sesuai dengan masalah yang akan dikaji mahasiswa bimbingannya. Metode pengumpulan informasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi pustaka, sedangkan pendekatan penyampaian informasi dilakukan dengan metode diskusi (Focus Group). Hasil yang akan dicapai adalah sejumlah contoh Outline yang dapat dijadikan acuan bagi para mahasiswa yang akan menulis karya tulis akademiknya serta para pembimbing penulisan karya tulis akademik.

Abstract

The study of mixed methods in research methodology has become a 'trend' or a trend back after not appearing for several periods. Emerging issues about mixed methods are usually surrounded by definitions, paradigms, and methodologies. Researchers when writing about Mixed Methods raises issues around design, sampling, analysis, and reporting that require skills, cost, and time to research with mixed methods. This paper aims to conduct a critical study of the term mixed methods (Mixed Methods) so it can be more clear what is meant by mixed methods. Hopefully, novice researchers who are interested in doing research do not "euporia" using mixed methods for any phenomenon and problem. Research is essentially answering a question or a researcher's doubt on a particular phenomenon or problem based on a scientific procedure. Thus, the approach and method of research used depend on the problem and purpose of the research itself. On the other hand, humans view the phenomenon of nature highly dependent on the way of looking at the world which later became the paradigm of his thinking about the world and its various phenomenon.

Abstract

This study aims to see the process of implementing mathematics learning through an online system, as well as the perspectives of teachers, parents, and students on the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 virus pandemic. This research uses phenomenological qualitative research. Data collection using interview techniques and literature study. The subjects in this study were teachers, parents, and grade VI students of MI PUI Kemped Wirakanan in the 2020/2021 school year. Based on the results of the study, it was found that several obstacles caused the online learning process to be less effective due to lack of reference material, students did not understand the material provided by the teacher, not all students had cellphones, spending increased to buy quotas. From a perspective, researchers did not find respondents who agreed with online learning that was carried out in remote villages at the primary school level.

Abstract

Research on physics learning management has not been done much, especially regarding PCK and learning outcomes. Many studies that investigate the relationship between variables use the regression method. However, this study using path analysis. The purpose of this study was to measure the direct effect, indirect effect, and total effect of PCK, learning motivation, and student physics learning outcomes using path analysis. The research method used in this research is a survey with a quantitative approach and data analysis techniques, namely path analysis. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire. This study's sample was 43 teachers who gathered from 64 high school physics teachers in Indramayu Regency. The PCK learning management research results had no significant effect on student learning outcomes. Learning motivation had a positive effect, and learning motivation had a positive effect on student learning outcomes. The implication of this study that the principal and the education office should continue to strive to improve the quality and smoothness of the teaching and learning process by providing provision to teachers to improve pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) learning management by participating in workshops and continuously improving techniques to motivate students for results student learning better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis: (1) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah terhadap Kinerja Guru; (2) Pengaruh manajemen sarana prasarana terhadap Kinerja Guru; (3) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan manajemen sarana prasarana terhadap Kinerja Guru. Metodologi Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SDN di Gugus Rambutan Kecamatan Jatibarang Kabupaten Indramayu sebanyak 73 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 63 guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 62,5% sedangkan sisanya 37,50% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. 29,40%  Kinerja Guru dipengaruhi oleh variabel manajemen sarana prasarana, sedangkan sisanya 70,60% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. 31,30% variasi Kinerja Guru dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan Manajemen Sarana Prasarana secara Bersama-sama.  Adapun sisanya, 68,70% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 62,5%, pengaruh sarana prasarana terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 29,40%, pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan manajemen sarana prasarana terhadap kinerja guru secara simultan sebesar 31,30%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of mathematics learning through an online system during social/physical distancing situations from the perspective of teachers, students, and parents. This type of research is qualitative research using a literature study and interviews. The subjects in this study were teachers, students, and parents of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Jatibarang in the 2020/2021 school year. The result of this research is that the mathematics learning process is carried out online using Google Classroom media, Whatsapp, voice chat, and Google Form. However, the implementation process is not optimal. Many perspectives on the process of learning mathematics through an online system implemented in rural areas during the Covid-19 pandemic do not agree that the learning process is carried out online. Because, there are many obstacles faced such as unstable networks, additional expenses to buy quotas, tedious learning, not all students have smartphones, materials that are difficult to understand, and not achieving Basic Competence (KD).
