Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial serta hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS). Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTKLS (PTK berbasis Lesson Study). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum. Jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 18 orang yang terdiri dari 2 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 16 mahasiswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TPS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Pengembangan Kurikulum. Keterampilan sosial mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I rata-rata keterampilan sosial mahasiswa adalah 72,00 sedangkan pada siklus II adalah 76,55. Model pembelajaran ini juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa. Hasil belajar kognitif mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada siklus I adalah 79,13, sedangkan pada siklus II adalah 79,29. This research aimed to improve the social skill and the cognitive achievement of students through the implementation of Think Pair Share model. This type of research was PTKLS (Classroom Action Research  based on Lesson Study). This study was conducted at two cycles. The subject of this research was the students who were studying Curriculum Design material as many as 18 persons. They were consisted of 2 male students and 16 female students. The results showed that Think Pair Share Learning Model could improve students social skill and cognitive achievement on Curriculum Design material. Students social skill showed the increase in scores from the first cycle to the second cycle. The average score of social skill at the first cycle was 72.00, while at the second cycle was 76.55. This learning model could also improve the cognitive achievement, from the first cycle (79.13) to the second cycle (79.29).

Abstract

The results of PISA, PIRLS and reports from other sources mentioned that Indonesian student achievement is not better when compared with the achievements of students from other countries. It can caused by learning proccesses in Indonesia is less empowering students’s reading skills. These conditions need to be changed because of the low literacy reading students will be able to have an impact on thinking skills and student learning outcomes. One attempt to solve this problem is to implement a model of learning in which there are reading, construct a concept map, and applying cooperative learning in classroom or it can called Remap Coople (Reading + Concept Mapping + Cooperative Learning). Cooperative learning that used in this research is Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), so that this model is called Remap-STAD. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects were students of class B and class 2016 General Biology course participants. The number of students in the classroom as much as 35 people. This study was conducted on 24 September – 24 December 2016. The results showed that the Remap-STAD can improve students's critical thinking skills in General Biology courses at Budi Utomo College. It is known from the results of the analysis of the final test cycle showed an increase in scores from the first cycle to the second cycle. The average score of critical thinking skills first cycle was 65.0, while in the second cycle is 72.2. The learning models can also improve cognitive achievement that is the first cycle of 56.4 rose to 69.4 in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to produce teaching materials containing character education for the Learning Design and Strategy courses. This research method is development research using the 4D model which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and dissemination. The research subjects were class B students of class 2017 in the 2017/2018 academic year. Data collection was carried out by interviewing lecturers and students and distributing questionnaires. The data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of this research is the availability of design teaching materials and learning strategies with characters that have been valid and implemented at IKIP Budi Utomo. Based on the results of the validation of teaching materials by media experts, material experts, and linguists, it can be concluded that the teaching materials are suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

Keterampilan metakognitif adalah salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa, karena keterampilan ini dapat mendukung keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam mencapai tujuan belajarnya. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan hasil beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi dapat diketahui bahwa metakognitif mahasiswa masih rendah. Kondisi ini pada akhirnya menyebabkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa rendah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan sebuah upaya untuk memberdayakan keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran Digital Daily Assessment. Berikut ini nilai yang diperoleh dari hasil validasi, nilai validasi oleh ahli materi adalah 95,14%, nilai validasi oleh ahli media adalah 97,92%, nilai validasi oleh praktisi  adalah 97,25%, dan nilai yang diperoleh dari hasil uji keterbacaan yang melibatkan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi adalah 93,4%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa media pembelajaran Digital Daily Assessment layak digunakan untuk kegiatan pembelajaranKata kunci: Digital Daily Assessment, Keterampilan Metakognitif

Abstract

Classroom action research is conducted to determine the application of blended learning in Nutrition Science at IKIP Budi Utomo and increase student motivation through blended learning. The research method uses Classroom Action Research for two cycles. Learning motivation is measured using a learning motivation questionnaire at the end of each cycle and the application of blended learning is described based on the lesson plan implementation sheet and the learning observation sheet. The results of this study indicate that IKIP Budi Utomo’s student motivation has increased by 25%. In addition the implementation of blended learning has a positive impact on student skills using technology.
