Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dalam pendidikan. Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kemendikbud  (2011) mengungkapkan bahwa nilai rata-rata UN pada pelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk sekolah menengah atas dan sederajat terendah, yaitu sebesar 7,12. Sementara itu, nilai bahasa Inggris 7,52, Matematika 7,30, dan IPA 7,41. Untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran diperlukan model penelitian baru, antara lain Think Pair Share dalam pembelajaran membaca. Tahap-tahap dalam pembelajaran Think Pair Share adalah thinking (berpikir), pairing (berpasangan), dan sharing (berbagi). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan bericara pada peserta didik. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMK Garuda Nusantara tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode tes, observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Desain penelitian ini terdiri 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdapat empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil refleksi dijadikan dasar untuk menentukan keputusan perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada prasiklus, dari 37 peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran, memperoleh nilai 70 ke atas hanya 8 orang (21,62%). Sementara itu, pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu sebanyak 25 orang (55,56%). Jadi, kenaikannya sebesar 33,94%. Setelah diadakan perbaikan siklus II, peserta didik yang memperoleh nilai di atas 70 sebanyak 42 orang (93,33%), sedangkan yang belum tuntas 3 orang (06,67%). Hasil siklus II ini telah mencapai KKM dan memenuhi standar ketuntasan sebesar 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Think Pair Share dapat meningkatan kemampuan berbicara peserta didik pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

A relationship between student and lecturer need communication, whether it is inside or outside a campus. This communication should be in politeness boundaries, although it is uttered in a semiformal situation. The emerge of social media as a result of a technology development affects the communication between student and lecturer. This research examines the speech act and politeness used by student to communicate with his lecturer through Whatsapp. This study aims to describe and analyze the politeness used by student when he communicates with his lecturer using Whatsapp and to describe and analyze the politeness deviation used by student to communicate with his lecturer using Whatsapp. The data source comes from Whatsapp chatting application. The data is the student’s utterance which is used to communicate with the lecturer through Whatsapp. That data is used to collect the information so that it can be analyzed. Technique of collecting data uses observation method, note-taking technique, and interview. Qualitative method is used to analyze the data. Based on the analyses, it is found that there are many of the student’s utterance used to communicate with the lecturer using Whatsapp is not fulfill the politeness value. In that utterance, many politeness deviation were found such as the use of slank, the out of context discussion, the way to deliver intention impolitely, and the inappropriate of using paralinguistic aspect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  (a) mendeskripsi apakah sikap berbahasa berpengaruh terhadap penerapan bahasa Indonesia pada skripsi mahasiswa  Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Diponegoro dan (b) mendeskripsi bentuk pengaruh sikap berbahasa Indonesia terhadap penerapan berbahasa pada skripsi mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Diponegoro. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Diponegoro dengan mengambil objek mahasiswa sebanyak 80 orang. Faktor pengaruh yang dianalisis adalah sikap berbahasa. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif (skor  terendah, skor tertinggi, skor rata-rata, dan standar deviasi). Kriteria sikap berbahasa yang dikategorikan positif dan negatif diambil dari nilai rata-rata nilai idealnya. Dari 1425 buah kalimat, ditemukan  1.002 (70,312%)  buah kalimat gramatikal yang penerapannya sesuai dengan kaidah berbahasa Indonesia dan 286 (20,09%) buah kalimat yang penerapannya tidak sesuai dengan kaidah. Ketidaksesuain penerapan berbahasa tersebut disebabkan kalimat tidak gramatikalan. Ketidakgramatikalan kalimat tersebut  disebabkan oleh kalimat tanpa subjek, tanpa predikat, dengan 2 subjek, 2 predikat, dan kalimat dengan 2 subjek dan 2 predikat, serta kalimat tanpa subjek dan tanpa predikat. Selain itu, ditemukan pula kesalahan dalam pemilihan kata/diksi dan kesalahan penerapan ejaan sejumlah 137 (9,61%) buah kalimat. Hasil ini ini merupakan pengaruh sikap berbahasa mahasiswa yang kurang menaati kaidah berbahasa Indonesia dalam penulisan karya ilmiah.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa dalam mempersuasikan promosi perguruan tinggi sering menyimpang dari kesantuan berbahasa, terutama di perguruan tinggi swasta. Untuk mengetahui hal tersebut telah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsi dan menjelaskan kesantunan serta penyimpangan prinsip kesantuan berbahasa sebagai stratregi untuk mempersuasikan promosi Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Pariwisata Indonesia (STIEPARI). Wujud data penelitian ini adalah pemakaian tuturan yang dilakukan tim promosi dalam berpromosi yang menyimpang dari kesantunan berbahasa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, teknik rekam, dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tim promosi melakukan promosi melalui media auditif, visual, dan audio visual. Media auditif yang dipakai, yaitu promosi melalui siaran radio Idola, presentasi di beberapa SMA/SMK di kota/kabupaten di Jawa Tengah. Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian, baik promosi melalui radio, maupun pada saat presentasi langsung ditemukan beberapa skrip spot percakapan yang menyimpang dari kesantunan berbahasa. Penyimpangan bahasa, yaitu dengan menggunakan bahasa gaul/bahasa humor sengaja dilakukan untuk menarik minat sasaran. Bahasa humor yang dipakai untuk berpromosi tersebut, efektif untuk menjaring mahasiswa baru. Tim promosi mampu berkomunikasi dengan calon mahasiswa secara baik dengan strategi berbahasa yang sesuai dengan situasinya dan bahasa yang disukai oleh para remaja.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is no longer something foreign to understand and even do, especially in the current era of globalization and digitalization. Many people understand entrepreneurship and there are even people who have become successful entrepreneurs, but how to become an entrepreneur, how to start or what to do is still unclear. Many people don't understand it, and the same goes for today's young people, there are still some who don't understand how to start becoming an entrepreneur. Even though there are also many young people in other big cities who have successfully owned several businesses. OnThis opportunity for Community Service wants to provide insight into understanding how to start becoming an entrepreneur at a young age by exploring the potential that exists in each person or by looking at the surrounding environment, hobbies and so on. So as to provide motivation for young people, especially those who join in King Generation Indonesian Bethel Church Jomblang Semarang Branch. The activity will be held by holding a seminar with presentations and opportunities for questions and answers. The hope is that with this activity, young people will be motivated to explore their potential and develop what they have to become young entrepreneurs

Abstract

Creative entrepreneurship is a key factor in improving the economic well-being of the community, particularly among housewives. While mothers possess sewing skills, they have not yet been utilized optimally. Sewing skills have significant potential to be developed into creative businesses with economic value.Through this community service, participants, particularly mothers, will be motivated, equipped with knowledge, and skills to sew a variety of simple yet valuable products, such as tote bags, aprons, and decorative pillows, which can be transformed into entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, participants will be equipped with basic strategies for developing creative products and managing a small business, from product planning to simple offline and online marketing.Activities provided to the mothers of RT001 and RT002 from RW010, Kemijen Village, East Semarang, sewing skills can be beneficial and motivated, not just as a regular household activity but also to develop into independent and sustainable creative businesses. This program aims to foster a creative entrepreneurial spirit, increase the competitiveness of local products, and improve the family economy.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is part of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes the holistic development of student character. The program's primary objective is to develop students with noble character, global diversity, collaborative spirit, independence, critical thinking, and creativity. One approach to integrating these values is through an appreciation of literary works, particularly folktales. Folktales have great potential as educational media because they contain various life values derived from local wisdom. This research focuses on analyzing the life values contained in folktales from the Semarang region and assessing their relevance in supporting the implementation of P5. Amidst the decline in moral values among students, marked by rampant cases of brawls, drug abuse, bullying, and unethical behavior, utilizing folktales as teaching materials is an alternative solution that is contextual and culturally based. Unfortunately, many local folktales remain largely unknown and underutilized in the learning process. The research method used was a qualitative approach with data analysis techniques modeled after Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate seven main values contained in Semarang folklore: aesthetic, religious, social, moral, cultural, educational, and economic. These values not only reflect the social conditions of society in the past but also have strong relevance for shaping the character of today's students. Despite differences in the context of the times, folklore can still be used as an effective learning medium, especially when packaged in a more engaging and modern format, such as digital storytelling, animation, or other interactive media. Therefore, the inclusion of folklore in P5 can bridge the gap between cultural heritage and sustainable character education.

Abstract

Kuncup Melati School consists of Kindergarten, Elementary School and Junior High School is one of the private schools located in the middle of the city which is quite strategic and very easy to access and in a densely populated area. In addition to being in a strategic and densely populated location, this school is a private school that does not charge any fees to its students. Funded by a Khong Kauw Hwee Foundation.Every year like other private schools, it opens registration opportunities, but even though the school is free, there are not many students, especially the community in the school environment, the school already has social media which is a means of information and promotion of activities and activities from the school, but registrants who enter this school sometimes do not meet the quota provided by the school. On this occasion, the Community Service Team will carry out activities with the theme of optimizing effective promotional media that can help achieve the target of students who register at Kuncup Melati School. , namely with promotional activities other than social media can be done with other media. The hope is that with this promotional optimization activity, it can increase public interest in entering school at Kuncup Melati.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly the theme of “The Voice of Democracy,” to equip students with practical experience in democracy. This study aims to describe the implementation of this theme at the Semarang Pharmacy Foundation Vocational School and analyze its suitability with the principles of project-based learning and democratic theory in education.The research method used a qualitative approach with interview techniques, non-participatory observation, and document analysis. The research subjects included the facilitator team, homeroom teachers, and students. Data analysis followed the Miles & Huberman model.The results show that SMK Yayasan Pharmasi has formed a team of facilitators consisting of guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, student affairs vice principals, and student council advisors. The activities are carried out in three stages—preparation, implementation, and evaluation—all of which are student-centered. Most of the activities are student initiatives and involve almost all students. The entire process has implemented project-based learning and reflects democratic principles. However, several weaknesses were found, namely the low interest of students in being nominated as leaders and the difficulty of involving 12th grade students who are undergoing practical training in the election process. In addition, several democratic roles such as critics, opposition, legislature, and judiciary have not yet emerged in the implementation.
