Abstract

Baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) is a freshwater fish species native to Indonesian public waters, particularly in Sumatra and Kalimantan. Baung fish has thick, soft meat, delicious taste, and has high economic value. This research was conducted at the Workshop for Fisheries Cultivation Technology Study Program, using a container in the form of a fiber tub which is divided into 4 parts (100cm x 50cm x 7 cm) using waring. The test organism was fish baung with fish size 5cm-7cm, which were spread as many as 10 fish/bulkhead and kept for 60 days. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment used was the addition of S. cerevisiae yeast to artificial feed (pellets) with different doses. Where the control treatment (K): without the addition of S. cerevisiae, treatment A (P1): with a dose of S. cerevisiae 0.2%, treatment B (P2): addition of S. cerevisiae by 0.5%, and treatment C (P3 ): S. cerevisiae dose of 0.8%. Application of S. cerevisiae uses a coating method with a frequency of 2 times a day. The parameters observed included fish health status (total red blood cells and white blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and blood glucose) as well as production parameters such as absolute growth, daily growth rate, total feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, survival rate. The results showed that the absolute growth rate and the highest daily growth rate were found in treatment (P2), respectively 21.86 ± 10.05 grams and 0.86 ± 0.38%. On the other hand, the lowest FCR value was found in treatment (P3), namely 1: 1.25 ± 0.60. This shows that the provision of S. cerevisiae has a positive impact on increasing red blood cells, white blood cells, and the growth performance of the fish. Abstract

Baung fish is one of the local fish in West Kalimantan which has high economic value. One of the problems that arise in the maintenance of baung fish larvae is the low survival and growth rate, the most strategic solution is to determine the right type of feed according to the feeding habits of the baung fish larvae. The purpose of this study was to obtain the type of natural food that was most effective in rearing the larvae of fish. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. Treatment types of natural feed used in this study were Artemia (A), Water Fleas (B), Silkworms (C) and Pellet Flour (D), and arranged randomly. The results of the research through analysis of variance (Anova) show that all treatments can have a significant effect on the absolute length growth rate variable and the survival rate variable. Based on Tukey's further test, the treatment that had the best effect on the growth rate of absolute length was treatment C, namely 9.20 ± cm, while the treatment with the highest effect on survival rate was treatment A which was 98.8Keywords: Natural Feed, Baung Fish, Growth, Survival

Abstract

Channa striata is a fishery commodity that has high economic value. However, the availability of cork fish is very dependent on the availability of nature due to the lack of technology in the provision of seeds in a sustainable manner. In general, semi-artificial spawning with hormone induction is done for parent efficiency as well as increasing the quality and quantity of fish eggs as potential fish seeds. One of the spawning hormones that can be used is Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG), this hormone contains many elements folicle stimulating hormon (FSH) which can trigger gonad maturation in the early stages of oocyte formation and egg yolk filling in the process of vitelogenesis which will have an impact on egg diameter and fecundity. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal dose of the PMSG hormone to increase egg quality in this case is the diameter of the egg and the quantity of eggs in this case is fecundity. The female cork fish used has a size range of 30-40 cm with a weight of 500 - 700 g, adapted in a controlled container then PMSG hormone induced by treatment A dose: 0.75 mL / kg; B: 1.0 mL / kg; C: 1.25 mL / kg; D: 1.5 mL / kg and repeated three times. Then wait up to 72 hours to find out the development of oocytes. The results showed that the best treatment for egg diameter with a dose of 1.25 mL / kg with an egg size of 1.04 mm, whereas in fecundity with a hormone dose of 1.5 mL / kg produced 23,612 eggs.

Abstract

Sungai Besar Village is one of the areas in Bunut Hulu Subdistrict, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, which has considerable development potential in the fisheries sector. This is reinforced by the majority of people who have a livelihood as farmers and fish farmers. In addition, Sungai Besar Village is also one of the leading regions for the fisheries sector, especially tilapia and catfish. However, the rapid increase in population can cause limited production areas that can be used in various fields of fisheries. This encourages the intensification of efforts as one way of land utilization. One way that can be done is the application of the Minapadi fish culture system. This minapadi system has several advantages including an increase in community income through the existence of fish farming and more effective land use. The development of the fisheries sector, primarily the tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaculture business using the Minapadi system, is a solution in addressing land use issues and improving the economic community in the Kapuas Hulu Regency. In addition, Sungai Besar Village is expected to become a target village for the production of fish cultivation using the Minapadi system. The method that will be used in community service activities (PPM) is the method of assisting the transformation of science and application programs (training and counseling) related to the application of fish cultivation with the Minapadi system. Expected output in this activity is the community of Sungai Besar Village is able to implement fish farming with the Minapadi system. This is in the form of a method of fish cultivation that is able to maximize land use. Keywords : Aquaculture, Tilapia, Mina Padi, Sungau Besar Village
