Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in Grade VII students of SMP N 10   Mimika with use method Problem based Learning (PBL). Study this is study class action, which was carried out in two cycles where the first cycle consisted of 4 meetings and II consists of 5 meetings the subjects in this study were grade VII students. A which amounts to 29 students. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables, namely the Problem Based Learning method (PBL) and the dependent variable is the result of learning mathematics, technical data collection using Data Analysis Techniques, namely analysis of observation results and analysis of test results. Based on research results could concluded that learning with method Problem based Learning (PBL) could increase results study on eye lesson mathematics on Theory arithmetic social, results before action was taken, namely in the pre-cycle only 8 students or 27.58% which is completed in cycle I increase Becomes 24 student or 82.75% which finished study mathematics and on cycle II increase again Becomes 29 student which finished study mathematics, research this said succeed because reach indicator performance that is 100% from whole student with KKM that is 60

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects of fractional material for class VII of SMP Negeri Mapar Mimika, are behind this study. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and Taggart models which have been implemented for two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were grade VII students of SMP Negeri Mapar Mimika. Data collection techniques consist of observation, observation, documentation, and learning outcomes tests. The research instrument consists of teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that: 1) Efforts to improve student learning outcomes after using the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model in Cycle I obtained an average score of 64.3 percent with a percentage of 60 percent, when carried out in cycle II so that it experienced an average increase in grades of 71.3 percent with a percentage of success of 80 percent, 2) The jigsaw-type cooperative learning model runs optimally, as evidenced by the results of the first cycle of student activity by 70 percent (enough). Increased to 76 percent (good) in cycle II. The results of teacher activity in the first cycle were 66 percent (sufficient), increased to 77 percent (good) in cycle II.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah sebagai salah satu elemen penting dalam proses perkuliahan terkadang masih dianggap momok oleh sebagian mahasiswa. Hal tersebut terjadi karena banyaknya elemen-elemen penting yang harus diperhatikan mahasiswa. Adapun karya ilmiah yang dimaksud adalah makalah, laporan penelitian, skripsi, dan lain sebagainya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: (1) meningkatkan wawasan pengetahuan bagi mahasiswa tentang pentingnya menulis karya tulis ilmiah; (2) meningkatkan wawasan kemampuan bagi mahasiswa tentang teknik dan tatacara menulis karya ilmiah; (3) memberikan wawasan pengetahuan bagi mahasiswa tentang pentingnya peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas karya ilmiah; (4) meningkatkan wawasan pengetahuan bagi mahasiswa tentang aplikasi parafrase dan aplikasi plagiat karya tulis ilmiah; (5) meningkatkan pengetahuan bagaimana mendapatkan situs-situs yang bisa digunakan untukan untuk mendownload buku secara gratis. Kegiatan penyusunan artikel ilmiah dilakukan selama 3 bulan dengan 12 kali pertemuan secara online melalui WA Group untuk diskusi dan presentasi dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan google meet dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 mahasiswa. Keberhasilan ini juga ditunjukkan dengan dihasilkannya 15 naskah proposal yang sudah disesuaikan dengan template skripsi STKIP Hermon Timika.

Abstract

Abstrak Berdasarkan penelitian awal yang dilakukan oleh penulis di SMA Al-Falah HMM Mimika, bahwa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan modul terdapat banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi belajar siswa. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya siswa yang kurang merespon ketika proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan modul terhadap hasil belajar matematika, sehingga penggunaan modul yang sesuai dengan kriteria dalam suatu pembelajaran. Adapun Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan modul sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan hasil belajar siswa sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul dalam bidang studi matematika dengan menggunakan angket kategori baik dengan rata-rata 72,46 dan hasil belajar matematika memiliki nilai rata-rata 72,36 .Persamaan regresi yaitu Ŷ = 42 + 0,4 X artinya koefisien arah regresi (b) = 0,4 bertanda positif. Perhitungan korelasi diperoleh rhitung 0,4, Korelasi tersebut diperoleh indeks determinan sebesar 16%. Sedangkan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t diperoleh thitung 2,75 dan ttabel 1,684. Hal ini menunjukkan thitung > ttabel , maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan modul terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika sebesar 16%.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study aimed at determining the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in terms of the mathematical communication skills of students. The population of the study consists of all second-semester students, totaling 46 students. The sample of this study includes all second-semester students amounting to 23 students and fourth-semester students also amounting to 23 students selected through purposive sampling techniques. The design used is a pretest-posttest control group design with assessment techniques using test methods. The data collected consists of test scores related to the mathematical communication skills of students. Based on the t-test and proportion test at a significance level of 5%,It was concluded that the discovery learning model is not effective in terms of the mathematical communication skills of students. However, students who participated in discovery learning have higher mathematical communication skills compared to those who underwent conventional learning
