Abstract

This article examines the public's willingness to pay, considering that the local revenue data from the waste levy has not reached the 2022 target, while population growth, economic growth and changes in consumption patterns have experienced changes that affect the amount of waste generation in the city of Pekanbaru.The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of education, income and work community on willingness to pay in waste management. The sample is 100 heads of families. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. The results of the hypothesis test show that the education variable and the job variable do not significantly influence expenses. While income is proven to have a significant effect on paying expenses. It was also found that simultaneously the variables of education, income and work influence the awareness of paying. Furthermore, it is obtained that payment receipts are influenced by changes in the values of education, income, and employment variables of 31.9% while 68.1% are determined by other variables that are not in this research model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development and attractiveness of the natural baths of Sulem flora in terms of developers and tourists, the factors that support and the impact of developing Sulem flora natural baths as a tourist destination in Kampar Regency. This study uses the theory of Social Practices from Bourdieu. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Source of data from interviews with informants and related documents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity uses source triangulation. Data analysis using an interactive model. The results showed that the development of the Sulem Flora Natural Bath has improved the quality of tourism management and services, marked by an increase in the number of tourist visits to the Sulem Flora Natural Bath. The development of the Sulem Flora Natural Baths was also accompanied by the habitus of the people of Pantai Cermin Village from their participation as food selling tours in tourist areas, parking area managers, workers at the Sulem Flora Natural Baths by using economic capital, social capital, cultural capital and symbolic capital. The participation of the people of Pantai Cermin Village to develop tourism can be seen in the decisions they fought for and fought for in their area as a tourist area, in the production of practices that could support the development of the Flora Sulem Nature Bath and also in improving the welfare and quality of life of the community. local community.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan untuk memberikan pengetahuan teknis cara membuat brand popular dan proses pengurusan sertifikasi halal mulai dari bahan baku, alat kerja, tempat dan proses produksi agar menhasilkan produk bersih, sehat dan halal pada pada usaha rumahan yang ada di Perum Griya Cemara Aseri Kelurahan Sidomulyo Barat, Kecamatan Tuah Madani. Target minimal kegiatan adalah mampu menambah pengetahuan dan memberi semangat kepada ibu-ibu yang sudah memiliki usaha maupun usaha yang baru akan dirintis. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada yaitu : Sabtu, 11 Oktober 2025, melalui rapat disepakati tempat dilakukan di Perum Griya Cemara Asri Kelurahan Sidomulyo Barat Kecamatan Tuah Madani Kota Pekanbaru, Riau. Peserta terdiri dari 36 orang ibu-ibu pelaku usaha rumahan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Pertama, peserta mendapat pengetahuan yang disampaikan narasumber berpengalaman tentang teknis membuat brand popular agar menarik minat pelanggan dan proses pembuatan produk berkualitas mulai dari bahan baku, alat dan prosesnya terlihat jelas bersih dan halal. Kedua, setelah mendapatkan penjelasan maka tergambar tahap tahap mengurus sertifikasi halal (lama pengurusan, biaya dan bahan-bahan yang perlu dipersiapkan).

Abstract

Abstrak Pelatihan pemilahan sampah bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan partisipasi aktif ibu rumah tangga dalam mengurangi timbunan sampah rumah tangga melalui pemilahan sampah bernilai ekonomis di Kelurahan Delima, Kecamatan Bina Widya, Kota Pekanbaru... Target minimal kegiatan adalah mampu menambah pengetahuan dan pemahaman pemilahan sampah sejak dari sumbernya (rumah). Kegiatan diselenggarakan pada : Sabtu, 23 Mei 2026, melalui rapat disepakati tempat dilakukan di Perum Flamboyan Kelurahan Delima, Kec. Bina Widya Kota Pekanbaru, Riau. Peserta terdiri dari 26 orang yang merupakan warga perumahan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Pertama, pelatihan yang dipadukan dengan penyampaian materi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung memberikan dampak yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesiapan masyarakat untuk menerapkan perilaku pengelolaan sampah sejak dari sumber (rumah tangga). Kedua, pelatihan yang dilaksanakan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai jenis-jenis sampah, pentingnya pemilahan sampah, langkah-langkah pemilahan di tingkat rumah tangga,, pengalaman mengikuti pelatihan, serta minat untuk mengembangkan kegiatan pemilahan sampah di lingkungan tempat tinggal. Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Pemilahan Sampah, Partisipasi Abstract This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and active participation of housewives in reducing household waste through the segregation of recyclable and economically valuable waste in Delima Village, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru City. The primary objective of the program was to enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of waste segregation practices at the source, namely the household level. The training was conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Flamboyan Housing Estate, Delima Village, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru, Riau, based on a mutual agreement with the local community. A total of 26 residents participated in the activity. The results of the community service demonstrated that, first, the combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice effectively improved participants' understanding and readiness to implement household waste management practices at the source. Second, the training significantly enhanced participants' knowledge of waste categories, the importance of waste segregation, practical procedures for household waste sorting, learning experiences gained during the training, and their willingness to develop waste segregation initiatives within their neighborhood. These findings indicate that community-based training is an effective approach to fostering public awareness and participation in sustainable household waste management.
