Abstract

This study aims to identify product differentiation and positioning strategies to obtain competitive advantage and to find out product differentiation and positioning strategies in building brand excellence against competitors. The research sample is the Entrepreneurial Student Creative Business Unit in the city of Semarang. The number of respondents in this study was 30 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, semistructured interviews and documentation. While the data analysis used the Triangulation Method. In this study, data were examined by the GDP strategy of triangle (Positioning, Differentiation and Brand) from Hermawan Kartajaya, data of entrepreneurial creative business activities, and data obtained from semistructured interviews with informants of owners or managers of entrepreneurial student creative businesses. The results showed that differentiation strategies could be identified based on product differentiation, service differentiation, channel differentiation, people differentiation and image differentiation. While the product positioning strategy was identified based on customer, company, competitors and change. By implementing a differentiation strategy and product positioning that is in accordance with the business it manages, it is expected that the business will have the desired competitive advantage, so that it can become the provision and strength to win in competition. Building a brand / brand through the application of the triangle theory of GDP (Positioning, Differentiation and Brand), has been done without being realized by entrepreneurial students. It is evident that some brands / brands of entrepreneurial students who are respondents in this study have credibility and are positively perceived by consumers so that their business can last a long time, their brands/brands are known to customers, easy to remember, reflect quality, of whis customers we able to differentiate the products morever from other and make multiple purchases to become loyal. Brands / brands like this can be used as a provision and strength of competitiveness to win the competition, and become the foundation for the company's competitive advantage

Abstract

The study aimed to know the influence of quality of work life on employees engagement of PT Nusatovel Semarang, the influence of organizational culture on employees engagement of PT Nusatovel Semarang, the influence of job demand on employees engagement of PT Nusatovel Semarang, and the influence of quality of work life, organizational culture, and job demand on employees engagement of PT Nusatovel Semarang. The methods that used for data collection in this study were interview and questionnaires. The scale questionnaires were a agree disagree scale with 10 point scale. The sample that used in this study were 47 employees of head office of PT Nusatovel Semarang that choosen using convenience sampling technique. Used multiple linier regression technique for analyzing the data. It indicated that quality of work life had a positive and significant effect on employees engagement. Organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on employees engagement. Job demand had a possitive and not significant effect on employees engagement. Quality of work life, organizational culture, and job demands have 47.5% contribution to employees engagement. That means every 47.5% of employee engagement was explained by quality of work life, organizational culture, and job demands, while 52.5% was explained by other factors which were not observed in this study.

Abstract

The research objective is to explore the local host's preparedness and capacity in delivering philoxenia experience in which guest travelers experiencing hospitality friendlines and generousity as emotional and social relationship. The population was all SME owners and staff. The number of respondents were 79 people, the sampling technique was purposive convenient non random sampling. The data was analyzed by descriptive and factor analysis. The data shows that general respondents are ready and has high capability in delivering philoxenia experience. One aspect that needs to improve is abilities to maintain good relationship after sales service. There are four variables: physical facilities, location, campoong atmosphere and interpersonal relationship. Location has the lowest mean score. This was fue to the access to these sites and the infrastructure management was not well managed. The highest mean score was interpersonal relationship and has high potential to attract customers. Factor analysis shows that there are 11 indicators of a combined main and supportive factors. Campoong atmosphere factors creates some good conditions like feeling safe and confortable to interact among the people. They are able to build good warm and friendly communication. It is recommended that local host capability in delivering philoxenia should be maintained and improved.

Abstract

The issues being studied in this reserach was to define any appropiate model of newly recruited student’s spiritual capacity building based on Training Need Analysis. The objective of the research was to know the newly recruited students’ need to training in building their spiritual capacity and secondly to to find out the students’s actual need through three variabels; namely organizational variabel, job need variabel, and personal variabel as indicators.It was a qualitative descriptive research whose respondens classified into thre categories: management and policy maker who defines orgnisational, stakeholder and personal need, secondly, 100 respondentts from PESIMA participants and extrainers, taken by random sampling techniques. Data collection method was interview to management and questioanire distributed to participants and extrainer of PESIMA. Discussion scheme was adjusted with TNA model while analytic model was Iimportance Performance Analysis (IPA) techniques.The outcome of this research was normative model based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Scientific journal publication. In addition there was additional Training TOR for Students’ Spiritual Building / PESIMA TNA bases. It was concluded that PESIMA, which was conducted for 18 years, in general it has insufficient performance level, or the students’ satisfaction was considered low. On the other hand their expectation level to this training was classified into high. It was reflected from the low level of average score index. The mostly expected indicator or the Highest Level of Importance was pasca training (follow up) guidance. With the score index of 82,8. Training was asssumed as less powerfull to provide any supplies/basic capitals for students to face industrial 4.0 challenges

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of personalized product recommendation, online review stimuli, and customer brand identification on purchase intention of Bukalapak consumers in Semarang. Data collection method was non probability sampling with 100 people of Bukalapak consumers in Semarang. The analysis technique used in this research were vailidity test, reliability test, normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, linearity test, multiple linear regression, T test, F test and coefficient of determination. The data in this study were analyzed through SPSS 25. The analysis shows that personalized product recommendation (X1), online review stimuli (X2), and customer brand identification (X3) have a significant effect on purchase intention of Bukalapak consumers in Semarang. This research is expected to be a solution to determine the right marketing strategy in facing competition in the marketplace industry in Indonesia by applying personalized product recommendation, online review stimuli, and customer brand identification to increase purchase intention on Bukalapak

Abstract

The problem of financial distress experienced by transportation and logistics sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the COVID-19 pandemic became a problem in this study. This study analyzed the effect of profitability, financial leverage, and sales growth on financial distress. Transportation and logistics sector companies listed on the IDX consecutively from 2020 to 2022 are the population in this study, where the total population is 26 companies. The census or saturated sample is the sampling method used in this study. The analysis of this study uses a logistic regression model processed with S.P.S.S. 25. This study shows that profitability and financial leverage significantly affect financial distress. Meanwhile, sales growth has no significant effect on financial distress
