Abstract

Education plays an important role in the development of science and technology by creating skilled human resources. In learning activities, motivation and of course the learning outcomes themselves cannot be separated. Experts say that good learning outcomes are influenced by high motivation. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is influence between students' learning motivation and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 73 Jakarta Class XI in the even semester of the academic year. This study uses a survey method to find the relationship between variables with a simple linear regression technique. Sampling used was purposive sampling, amounting to 150 students. Instruments in the form of a questionnaire / questionnaire learning motivation and daily test scores of all students of class XI. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it is known that there is an influence between the learning motivation variable on the learning outcomes of class XI students in the compulsory mathematics subject at SMA Negeri 73 Jakarta. The results showed that the simple regression model can be used to predict learning motivation variables on learning outcomes, or there is an effect of learning motivation variables (X) on learning outcomes (Y), with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a difference in problem-solving ability assisted by worksheets between students who apply the NHT and Expository learning models. To determine whether or not there is an increase in problem-solving skills assisted by worksheets between students who apply the NHT and expository learning models. This research involved VII-A and VII-B classes of SMP Negeri 50 Jakarta with Quasi Experimental Design. Data obtained from posttest scores, where the data is normal and homogeneous while the data from the gain is normal and inhomogeneous then using the Independent Sample T-Test test, the results: (1) There is no difference in the mathematical problem-solving ability of students with the treatment of NHT and expository learning models. The average posttest value of mathematical problem-solving ability that gets the NHT learning model treatment reaches 58.72 while with the expository learning model treatment reaches 49.57. (2) There is a difference in the improvement of mathematical problem-solving ability between students who apply the NHT and expository learning models. The average gain data value of the Experiment class reached 46.56 and n - gain reached 0.5660 while the Expository class data gain reached 31.58 and n - gain reached 0.4126.

Abstract

This study is based on the low literacy and numeracy skills of students in Indonesia. This study aims to see the improvement of literacy and numeracy skills possessed by grade V students at SDN Pulogadung. The instrument used in this study is the MCA (Minimum Competency Assessment) test. The approach used in this study is quantitative descriptive with a one group pretest post-test design. Data was collected through the AKM instrument test involving 30 students. The data was analyzed using the Gain test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in literacy ability of 0.179 and numeracy of 0.379. It can be concluded that literacy skills have increased with low categories while numeracy skills have increased with medium categories.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade X students at SMAN 71 Jakarta. The study was conducted in response to students’ low achievement in mathematics and the learning difficulties commonly associated with conventional, teacher-centered instruction. A quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two Grade X classes selected through purposive sampling: one experimental class (X-B) and one control class (X-C), each comprising 36 students. Students’ learning outcomes were measured using expert-validated pretest and posttest instruments. The collected data were analyzed using a series of statistical procedures including validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity tests and independent samples t-test using SPSS version 26. The analysis showed a significance value of 0.004 (p < 0.05) and the calculated t-value was 2.946 which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.994. These results indicate that the use of PBL model has led to a statistically significant improvement in the learning outcomes of students in mathematics. Furthermore, students who learned through PBL showed greater engagement and achieved higher scores than those who received conventional instruction.
