Abstract

This research was conducted by the low result of physics study of 17 Agustus 1945 Senior students in Jakarta. The low result of physics study caused by the teaching methods which is still focused on teacher-centered. One of the improvemens in teaching and learning of Physics that can be done is to adopt a creative learning physics and applied so as to help students understand the concepts of physics. STAD learning model is one of the creative learning and aplikatif.This research aims is to determine the effectiveness of using learning model STAD to increasing the concept of energy and power. The subjects were students of class X is 42 people were divided into experimental class and control class. The data were collected from both groups and were analyzed using SPSS 22 for windows. The results of data analysis obtained that the mastery of the concepts of Physics students experimental group increased by an average of 31.14 from 44.38 into 75.52, higher than the control kolompok with an increase of an average of 14:13 of 45.00 into 59.13. These results revealed that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.Therefore it can be concluded that the model of STAD can be effectively improved the result of physics study.Keywords : STAD, teacher-centered, result of Physics study

Abstract

According to regulation No. 20/2000, education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that students actively develop their potential, to have spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character and the skills needed by themselves, society, nation, and country. To realize this we need learning methods and models that are able to increase student enthusiasm and be able to improve student learning outcomes. Of the several learning approaches, the initial experiment approach (starter experiment approach), is one alternative in learning physics. This research was conducted in class XI Natural Sciences at SMA Negeri 98 Jakarta, East Jakarta, with a research schedule from January to September 2018. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class students after receiving the SEA learning model treatment was 87.38, while the class control with conventional learning models 80.36.

Abstract

Enzymes are the same biomolecules such as proteins, has only a functional difference. Enzymes are biocatalyst that recently applied to many industrial fields. To be applied in the field of industrial enzymes should be enhanced stability against temperature. Analysis of the salt bridge is able to demonstrate the potential of residues mutated to improve thermal stability. Molecular dynamics simulations performed by observing the unfolding process. Variations in temperature used is 400 K, 450 K and 500 K, respectively performed for 2.5 ns. Then analyzed the pair a salt bridge is formed. There are 25 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 400 K, 24 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 450 K, and there are 30 pairs of the salt bridge is formed at a temperature of 500 K. To determine the salt bridge partner is a key enzyme kesstabilan we then plotted salt bridge between distances (Ã… ) with time (ns) only at a temperature of 500 K, for allegedly at these temperatures has been a process of unfolding. Of the 30 pairs of the salt bridge that had plotted the distance with time, the pair obtained a salt bridge that pattern similar to the pattern chart graph analysis Root-mean-square deviation (RMSD). There are three curves salt bridge that pattern is similar to the pattern of RMSD curve and SASA, namely the salt bridge Glu84-Arg134, Asp104-Arg134 and Asp113-Arg115. The sharp rise in the value of RMSD and the resulting rupture SASA three pairs of the salt bridges. So when carried mutations in-silico candidate mutants that will be transferred is the amino acid residues are thought to play a role in electrostatic interactions and replace it with another amino acid residue on the basis of structural similarities. Abstract

Xylanase is one type of enzyme that has an important role in the field of industry. One way that can be done to improve the thermostability of an enzyme is by protein engineering . Mutation of these proteins can be done by studying the structure of proteins through molecular dynamics simulation approach. In this research, thermal stability analysis on the structure of Aspergilus niger Wild Type xylase (AnX) was performed. This study aims to study the thermal stability characteristic of Aspergilus niger xylanase enzyme through molecular dynamics simulation approach. Molecular dynamics simulations of AnX were performed using NAMD (Not Just Another Molecular Dynamic) software at at a temperature of 300-500 K. This study focused on studying the thermal stability characteristic of the enzymes to obtain information on residues that are responsible for the characteristic. Selection of residues to be mutated, based on the results of Hydrophobic Interactions. Based on the analysis results, the design of mutant Xylanase enzyme that is more thermostable than the Wild Type Xilanase Enzyme, so it can provide suggestions a more stable Xilanase mutation design that can be implemented into wet experiments to genetically engineer the Aspergilus niger xylanase enzyme. Xylanase Aspergillus niger enzyme is unfolded at 500 K at 9.5 ns. The residues responsible for the thermal stability of Xilanase Aspergilus niger enzyme based on hydrophobic interaction analysis are Alanine at residue 60. This residue is in segment / chain 3. The best mutant that can increase thermal stability is indicated by the Alanin 60 residue replaced with Methionin. The mutant Alanin 60 residue that replaced with a methionine mutant obtained ΔΔGsolv value of -21.10345. Thus the Ala60Met mutant is the most stable mutant supposed to increase thermal stability of Aspergillus niger Xilanase Enzyme. Keywords : enzyme, thermostability, mutation, molecular dynamics

Abstract

Abstract: In this study hot water was placed in two erlenmeyer scale 100 ml clogged and without plug, each filled with 150 ml hot water and allowed to cool in air. Measurement of water temperature using sensor connected to the interface and recorded using the pasco capstone 14.1. The wind is raised with the fan, to adjust the wind speed by adjusting the fan distance, the speed is measured using an anemometer. The water cooling constant is obtained by a decay exponential regression analysis of temperature vs time. The relationship between water colling coefficient with wind speed is used linear regression. From the research, the water cooling coefficient naturally for clogging erlenmeyer is 3,1 x 10-4 s-1 and for erlenmeyer without plug 3.8 x 10-4 s-1, the rate of change of water cooling constant to wind speed is 1 , 4 x 10-4 m-1. Abstrak: Pada penelitian ini air panas ditempatkan dalam dua buah erlenmeyer berskala 100 ml bersumbat dan tanpa sumbat, masing-masing diisi air panas dengan volume 150 ml dan dibiarkan mendingin di udara. Pengukuran suhu air dengan menggunakan sensor panas yang dihubungkan ke interface dan dicatat menggunakan program pasco capstone 14.1. Angin dibangkitkan dengan kipas, untuk mengatur kecepatan angin dengan cara mengatur jarak kipas, kecepatan angin diukur menggunakan anemometer. Konstanta pendinginan air diperoleh dengan analisis regresi eksponensial meluruh dari data suhu dan waktu. Hubungan antara koefisien pendinginan air dengan kecepatan angin digunakan regresi linier. Dari penelitian diperoleh koefisien pendinginan air secara alami untuk erlenmeyer tersumbat sebesar 3,1 x 10-4 s-1 dan untuk erlenmeyer tanpa sumbat sebesar  3,8 x 10-4 s-1, laju perubahan konstanta pendinginan air terhadap kecepatan angin adalah sebesar 1,4 x 10-4 m-1.

Abstract

Laboratorium merupakan sebuah sarana yang mendukung pembelajaran khususnya IPA, namun beberapa sekolah yang berada di daerah belum memiliki peralatan laboratorium yang memadahi, salah satunya adalah SMP Pusaka yang berada kecamatan Ciranjang. Pengukuran adalah salah satu materi dari pelajaran IPA, dalam melakukan pengukuran diperlukan alat ukur. Alat ukur yang sering diujikan di ujian nasional adalah jangka sorong, micrometer skrup dan multitester, tetapi alat ukur ini tidak tersedia di SMP Pusaka. Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Kristen Indonesia melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ke SMP Pusaka dengan melakukan kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan alat laboratorium berupa alat ukur jangka sorong, mikrometer skrup dan multitester serta menyumbangkan alat-alat tersebut. Pelatihan dilaksanakan kepada siswa kelas 7 SMP sejumlah 29 siswa, setelah pemaparan tim melakukan pendampingan kepada siswa untuk melakukan pengukuran dan mengisi lembar kerja yang telah disediakan, kemudian diberikan kuesioner untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa dan kesan kepada instruktur. Dari hasil kuesioner yang dijawab oleh siswa menyatakan bahwa materi pelatihan mudah dipahami, diaplikasikan dan menambah pengetahuan, secara keseluruhan materi yang diajarkan mendapatkan respon baik dengan presentase rata-rata 86,6 %. Menurut kesan para siswa pelatih dari Pendidikan Fisika UKI memberikan perhatian, pendampingan dan penyajian materi yang baik dengan persentase rata-rata 85,4 %.

Abstract

Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Kristen Indonesia bervisi menjadi “Menjadi Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika yang bermutu, mandiri dan inovatif dalam melaksanakan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia dan Asia berbasis media pembelajaran sederhana sesuai nilai-nilai Kristiani dan Pancasila pada tahun 2030”, melaksanakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dalam bentuk “Pelatihan pembuatan e-modul berbasis SIGIL di SMA Yadika 9, Bekasi Barat, Jawa Barat”. Kegiatan idilakukan kepada guru-guru dalam dua hari, meliputi: 1) Pembukaan; 2) Pengantar dari narasumber dan instalasi software SIGIL; 3) Pelatihan pembuatan e-modul menggunakan SIGIL dan pembacaan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi Thorium; 4) Penugasan dan 5) Diskusi, tanya Jawab dan pengumpulan tugas. Respon peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 87,5% puas pada aspek materi, 89,5% puas pada aspek narasumber, 81,3 % puas terhadap durasi kegiatan, 87,5% puas terhadap kinerja pelaksana PkM. Kegiatan ini merupakan pengabdian dan transfer ilmu pengetahuan, sebagai sarana peningkatan dan pengembangan kreatifitas guru dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang kian masif berdampak pada perkembangan sumber daya manusia saat ini, salah satunya proses pembelajaran siswa di sekolah. Penerapan teknologi yang telah merambah ke dunia pendidikan mengahasilkan media pembelajaran modern yang edukatif. Media pembelajaran ini diharapkan mampu menjadi alat penunjang proses pembelajaran yang kreatif dan menarik. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil observasi terkait permasalahan sekolah yaitu tidak tersedianya modul sebagai bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan pada saat proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan lain yang didapatkan adalah tidak berlangsungnya proses praktikum yang dikarenakan kekurangan alat yang tersedia pada sekolah. Akibatnya, siswa di sekolah tersebut tidak dapat melakukan proses praktikum sebagimana mestinya Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul praktikum virtual PhET berbasis multirepresentasi untuk meningkatkan minat siswa. Indikator minat siswa mencakup perasaan senang, perhatian, ketertarikan dan keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan metode Analysis, Design, Development, Implementaton and Evaluation (ADDIE). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan pengembangan modul terhadap minat siswa dengan perolehan rata-rata mencakup keseluruhan indikator adalah 82% dengan kategori “sangat positif”. Modul praktikum virtual PhET berbasis multirepresentasi terhadap minat yang dikembangkan dalam kategori sangat positif, sehingga efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pentingnya pengembangan media pembelajaran di sekolah dilakukan dalam rangka peningkatan kulaitas sumber daya manusia yang selanjutnya menjadi generasi yang mampu membangun bangsa menjadi bangsa yang maju.
