Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of applying video-assisted flipped classroom learning models in integral calculus courses. The effectiveness of learning in this study was measured based on the achievement of learning outcomes, student activities during learning, and student responses. This study was a pre-experimental study with a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used two tests, observation sheets, and two questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were conducted by using statistical and inferential descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis showed: (1) The score of student learning outcomes has increased reaching a minimum completeness score of 70 with an average score of student learning outcomes in posttest 1 and posttest 2 of 75.28 and 78.09, (2) The average student activity is in the very active category, and (3) The average percentage of student response questionnaires on two response questionnaires, namely student response to the implementation of mathematics learning is amounted to 88%, and student response to instructional video media is amounted to84%. In general, it can be concluded that the video-assisted flipped classroom learning model is effective to be applied in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Natural disasters that had occurred in Indonesia consist of hydro-meteorology: floods, droughts, and landslides, geophysical: volcanic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and biological: epidemics. Regarding the tectonic earthquake on Sulawesi Island, there are at least 2 earthquake disasters that became national disasters, namely in Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi in the range of 2017 to 2021. This study aims to cluster tectonic earthquakes on Sulawesi Island, from 2017 to 2020, as the basis for formulating disaster mitigation plans. This study used tectonic earthquake data from 2017 to 2020 obtained from BMKG Gowa, Indonesia. The variables used are magnitude, depth, and distance category. Because they are mixed variables, this study used a k-prototype algorithm. There are four clusters in 2017, six clusters in 2018, five clusters in 2019, and six clusters in 2020 based on the ratio of within-cluster distance against between-cluster distance. It can be related to the active fault on Sulawesi Island. The characteristics of clusters form each year are the greater magnitude of the earthquake, the deeper of deep and the category distance is dominated by the regional level.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM)conducted at SDIT Ar-Rahmah Makassar. The purposes of thisactivity are to a) improve teachers' knowledge and skills inunderstanding mathematical concepts; b) increase teachers'knowledge and skills in utilizing learning media inunderstanding mathematical concepts; and c) increase teachers'knowledge and skills in learning mathematical concepts forlow classes. The teachers' problems are a) insufficientknowledge and skills about the use of media in learningmathematics; b) insufficient knowledge and skills inunderstanding mathematical concepts; and c) lack ofknowledge and skills in utilizing media in understandingmathematical concepts. The methods used in this program aretraining, mentoring, and discussion between team andteachers. This method is carried out to 15 teachers andsubsequently evaluation and monitoring session are carried outperiodically for 3 months. The results of this study showed that1) teachers' skills and knowledge are improved; 2) teachers areable to utilize media in understanding low-grade mathematicalconcepts; and 3) publications in mass media or journals withISSN.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) were held at Paladang village of Pinrang regency. The purposes of this activity are to increase farmers' knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, in processing eggplant/ banana into various valued products, in making expense book tracker, and in managing finances and marketing of the business. Problems found in the community showed that they lack of knowledge about entrepreneurship, lack of knowledge and skills on how to process eggplant/ banana into varied products with higher economic value, and the lack of knowledge and skills in managing finances and marketing. The methods used in program were training, mentoring, discussion and counselling in collaboration between the team and farmer groups. This method is carried out for two groups. The first group consists of 6 people and 5 people belongs to the second group. Evaluation and monitoring are carried out periodically for 4 months. The results showed that 1) the participants show improvement in skills knowledge in terms of entrepreneurship; 2) the participants improved their ability and skills in producing various products from eggplant with good economic value; and 3) the participants able to produce eggplant barongko and eggplant nuggets.
