Abstract

The research aims to see students' conceptual understanding of Newton's second law material through the Rasch model. This research was conducted on physics education students at the Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi State Islamic University, totalling 29 active students in August 2023. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive research method regarding the procedures for organizing and carrying out observations, where the researcher did not carry out special treatment. to make changes to students, but looking at the real conditions that students have in modern conditions. The instrument consists of 45 items related to force and motion. Selection of questions to obtain appropriate questions using the Winsteps 3.65.0 program. The results of the analysis using the Rasch Model showed 23 fit items. The results of the analysis show that concept ability is very low, students' concept mastery is low where in percentage terms 97% have low concept mastery, and only 3% have moderate concept mastery ability, especially in Law II material.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires the use of authentic assessment, where students are assessed for their readiness, process, and learning outcomes as a whole. This research was conducted at Muaro Jambi 7 Junior High School which aimed to find out the implementation of authentic assessment subjects at Muaro Jambi Junior High School and to find out whether authentic assessment was carried out properly or not. Data collection methods used in the study are documentation studies, interviews and questionnaires. Subjects used in this study were biology teachers who used the 2013 curriculum and VIII grade students at Muaro Jambi 7 Junior High School. The results obtained showed that all biology teachers had carried out authentic assessments. The teacher has carried out an authentic assessment during the learning process which includes three aspects of assessment namely attitudes, knowledge, and skills. However, in the process of authentic assessment there are still some obstacles, namely the number of assessment formats that must be made by the teacher with limited availability of time so that the teacher is not optimal in carrying out authentic assessments. The many aspects that must be assessed in the 2013 Curriculum assessment, so that the teacher takes a long time to make an assessment. Keywords : analysis, authentic assessment, 2013 curriculum. Abstrak: Kurikulum 2013 mensyaratkan penggunaan penilaian autentik, dimana siswa dinilai kesiapannya, proses, dan hasil belajar secara utuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan penilaian autentik di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri Muaro Jambi dan untuk mengetahui apakah penilaian autentik dilaksanakan dengan baik atau tidak. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah studi dokumentasi, wawancara dan angket. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru mata pelajaran biologi yang menggunakan kurikulum 2013 dan siswa kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa seluruh guru biologi sudah melaksanakan penilaian autentik. Guru sudah melaksanakan penilaian autentik pada saat proses pembelajaran yang meliputi tiga aspek penilaian yaitu sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Namun, pada proses pelaksanaan penilaian autentik masih ada beberapa kendala yaitu banyaknya format penilaian yang harus dibuat oleh guru dengan ketersediaan waktu yang guru miliki terbatas sehingga membuat guru kurang maksimal dalam melaksanakan penilaian autentik. Banyaknya aspek yang harus dinilai dalam penilaian Kurikulum 2013, sehingga guru membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk melakukan penilaian. Kata kunci: analisis, penilaian autentik, kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a video tutorial as a valid, practical, and effective biotechnology practicum guide developed for high school students (SMA).  This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and disseminate) This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) which is limited to stage three.  The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire.  This research was conducted at MAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur on the subject of biology with a limited scale.  The analysis is carried out in the form of curriculum analysis, teacher needs analysis, student needs analysis and student characteristics analysis.  The assessment was carried out by three experts, namely material experts with a percentage of 89.5%, linguists with a percentage of 87.5% and design experts with a percentage of 95%.  The tutorial video was tested with the teacher's response with a percentage of 92.2%.  Then the video tutorial was tested on class XII semester II students with a practicality percentage of 97.9%, then the teacher's practicality level was 92.2%.  These results indicate that the product developed is declared "very practical".  The effectiveness test was given to the same students with a percentage of 92.2% and was declared "very effective."  learning.  The author proposes suggestions for developing this product with a wider scope or in other materials, even in other subjects in the future. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain video tutorial sebagai penuntun praktikum bioteknologi yang valid, praktis, dan efektif yang dikembangkan untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) yang dibatasi hanya sampai tahap ke tiga. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah  berupa angket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur pada mata pelajaran biologi dengan skala terbatas. Analisis yang dilakukan berupa analisis kurikulum, analisis kebutuhan guru, analisis kebutuhan siswa dan analisis karakteristik siswa. Penilaian dilakukan oleh tiga ahli yaitu ahli materi dengan persentase 89,5%, ahli bahasa dengan persentase 87,5% dan ahli desain dengan persentase 95%. Video tutorial diujicobakan respon guru dengan persentase 92,2%. Kemudian video tutorial diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas XII semester II dengan persentase praktikalitas 97,9%, kemudian tingkat praktikalitas guru sebesar 92,2%. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dinyatakan “ sangat praktis”. Untuk ujicoba efektivitas diberikan kepada siswa yang sama dengan  persentase sebesar 92,2% dan dinyatakan “sangat efektif” Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan Video Tutorial Sebagai Penuntun Praktikum Bioteknologi Untuk Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas sangat valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on mastery of the concept of temperature and heat material. This research uses a quantitative type of research with a quasi-experimental design using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this research is class X for the 2023/2024 academic year at SMK Negeri 09 Muaro Jambi. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique to obtain 2 classes, namely the experimental class with 18 students and the control class with 18 students. Both classes were given test questions in the form of a multiple choice posttest consisting of 5 questions. Based on tests and data analysis, the average score for the experimental class was 70.00 with a standard deviation of 19.70 and the average score for the control class was 58.00 with a standard deviation of 24.22. From the results above, it is found that mastery of concepts using the discovery learning model is better than mastery of concepts without using a learning model. It can be concluded that the discovery learning model influences students' mastery of concepts in temperature and heat material. This is because learning using the discovery learning model can increase students' activeness in learning, especially temperature and heat material.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the Cooperative Learning learning model on understanding concepts in business and energy material. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of class The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive sampling technique because the data previously obtained from the three classes was normal and homogeneous. The design in this research is post-test only because the samples used have initial abilities that can be said to be the same. Based on data analysis, the average score for the experimental class was 52.3 and the average score for the control class was 47.6. Apart from obtaining the average value, in this study it was also found from the results of the t test that Cooperative Learning learning did not have a significant influence on classes that did not use the Cooperative Learning learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' understanding of concepts. This research is quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental research. This research only uses posttests or final tests after being given treatment. The design used was Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research results showed that the average score of experimental class students who used the discovery learning model was 55.44, a maximum of 100, a minimum of 0, and a standard deviation value of 30.072. For the control class using the conventional model, the average score of experimental class students is 40.09, the maximum is 79, the minimum is 0, and the standard deviation value is 25.693. This also shows a positive impact if learning is implemented using the Discovery Learning learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on student learning outcomes in dynamic electrical material. This research uses a quantitative type of research using pre-experimental methods. The population in this study consisted of all students in class XII MIPA at SMAN 13 Bungo for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample in this study amounted to 33 people, of which the number of students was 18 people, while the number of female students was 15 students. This research was obtained from the results of students' daily test scores on dynamic electricity material. The instrument in this research consists of essay questions in the form of an essay test. These questions are given to students when doing daily tests on dynamic electricity material. Based on the results of students' daily tests, the data obtained an average value of 72.16 with a standard deviation of 10.133. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model does not have a significant effect on student learning outcomes in dynamic electricity material. This is because the process of implementing the discovery learning model has not run optimally so it has not been able to maximize and improve learning outcomes, especially dynamic electrical material.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Discovery Learning enriched with HOTS-oriented Islamic concepts for elementary school students. The development model used in this study was the PLOMP model, which consists of preliminary research, development or prototyping, and assessment phases. This study was conducted at an elementary school in Jambi City during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected using material validation instruments, instructional design validation instruments, multimedia validation instruments, Qur'anic interpretation validation instruments (Islamic studies), and student response instruments. The data analysis used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the developed multimedia falls into the “very valid” and “very practical” categories. Furthermore, the effectiveness analysis revealed a moderate gain score, indicating that the multimedia is effective in enhancing students' higher-order thinking skills. These findings suggest that the interactive multimedia developed is appropriate for use in elementary thematic learning to support 21st-century learning goals.
