Abstract

PT Berkah Utama Transsindo (Butrans) has experienced a decrease in market share, declining from 74% in 2022 to 62% in 2023, while its competitor, PT Adhitama Surya Abadi Express (ASAE), expanded its share from 26% to 38%. This study examines Butrans’s internal strengths and weaknesses as well as its external opportunities and threats by utilizing the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, alongside SWOT analysis and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) Total Attractiveness Score. The aim is to identify key areas for improvement and prioritize strategic initiatives. The results position Butrans in quadrant IV of the Internal-External (IE) Matrix, indicating a relatively strong strategic stance where internal strengths moderately outweigh external challenges. The analysis highlights major strengths such as an extensive fleet and an integrated vehicle monitoring system, while identifying key weaknesses including high operating costs and limited cargo diversification, which reduce adaptability. Opportunities driven by economic growth and infrastructure expansion are counterbalanced by threats from natural disasters and intensifying competition. To strengthen its market position, the study recommends cost reduction, diversification of services, technological enhancements for greater efficiency, stronger client engagement, and the development of contingency strategies to mitigate external risks. By implementing these recommended strategies, based on insights from the IFE and EFE analyses, Butrans is expected to recover market share and maintain its leadership in the logistics industry of East Lampung.

Abstract

The relationship between entrepreneurship programs, individual entrepreneurial orien-tation, and entrepreneurial intention can be strengthened by entrepreneurial motivation, which acts as an internal drive encouraging individuals to take action toward starting a business. Motivated individuals tend to explore ideas and identify market opportunities to build inde-pendent ventures. Universities play a crucial role by organizing programs that inspire students to pursue self-reliance through entrepreneurship, while also equipping them with relevant knowledge and practical experience to enhance their skills and risk-taking ability. At Univer-sitas Lampung (UNILA), these efforts are facilitated by the Center for Career and Entre-preneurship Development (CCED), which supports various entrepreneurship initiatives aimed at increasing students' motivation and providing hands-on experiences. These experiences strengthen students’ drive to start a business, as entrepreneurial intention is influenced by internal factors such as motivation, reinforced through direct program involvement. Hence, motivation can serve as a mediating variable that links entrepreneurship programs and indi-vidual entrepreneurial orientation with entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

Coffee is an important commodity in Indonesia with high economic value. In Ulu Belu District, coffee distribution through long channels causes high distribution costs, so supply chain management (SCM) is needed to improve efficiency. This study aims to measure the cost efficiency and effectiveness of coffee distribution using qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that coffee marketing efficiency in Channel I amounted to 11.98%, and Channel II amounted to 11.92%, both classified as efficient. Delivery accuracy was also high, with Channel I reaching 98.89%, while Channel II was 85.83%. Channel II is more cost-effective despite Channel I being more effective in delivery. Cost-efficiency is important because coffee is a perishable product, and weather-related delays are rare. Channel I, which involves many members, increases distribution costs, so Channel II is recommended for optimal efficiency. It is suggested that improvements to transportation infrastructure, road access, and storage facilities at trader locations can increase distribution efficiency, maintain coffee quality, and reduce losses.

Abstract

The Indonesian economy is largely driven by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which play a vital role in economic growth. MSMEs have proven resilient during economic crises. This study analyzes the impact of Information Technology, Creativity, and Business Capital on MSME sustainability using quantitative methods. Data from 115 MSMEs were gathered through structured questionnaires. The t-test results reveal that Creativity significantly influences MSME sustainability. Similarly, Information Technology and Business Capital have significant positive impacts, aligning with existing literature. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 43.7% shows that these three variables explain variations in MSME sustainability. To enhance Information Technology utilization, MSMEs should improve data systems and provide training for managers. Creativity can be strengthened by fostering innovation and organizing brainstorming sessions. For Business Capital, MSMEs need investment strategies focused on long-term growth. Additionally, increasing market value through product innovation and collaboration is crucial. These efforts are expected to support the sustainability of MSMEs in Bandar Lampung’s fashion sector.
