Abstract

Background. Semarang City tourism site is a means to market the tourism business industry has not been managed properly. The niche on the tourism website has not shown a complete description of the actual conditions of a digital collection preservation effort. This study aims to analyze content preservation on tourism websites in Semarang City. The purpose of this research is to describe the excellence of Semarang City tourism website when filled with complete and attractive content.Methodology. This study on preservation analysis of tourism websites uses descriptive qualitative methods by conducting media content analysis on the tourism website http://pariwisata.semarangkota.go.id/ as tourism information navigation. The core of the problem studied is the lack of relevance of Semarang City's development plan as a smart city with the readiness of tourism information. Results and discussion. The results of the content analysis of the preservation of the site found that the content of the site has not fully conveyed actual and interesting ideas, ideas, or information.Conclusions. Preservation efforts have been done well, but the quality of this niche on the site needs to be improved. This site is still undergoing an application maintenance process so there is a delay in updating the site content. Suggestions for site improvement include providing opportunities for the community to send coverage products about tourism activities through an editing process to harmonize the content with other aspects of beauty. Visitors expect an honest statement from the site manager to apologize that this site is undergoing application maintenance or preservation so that visitors can figure out the actual situations

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the collaboration carried out by students participating in Library Internship Programs with the institutions where they undergo their internships. Methodology. Using an online questionnaire as the instrument distributed to students participating in internships, responses were received from students from 127 provinces in Indonesia.Results and discussion. The information gathered indicates that library internship activities already reflect a diversity of interests, competencies, and objectives as part of the library internship experience. There is alignment between the activities carried out and various aspects of library management, collection development, and the complexity of seeking career opportunities in the library field. Conclusions. An analysis of the collaboration strategy between students and practical institutions in determining the type of library practice reveals several important aspects. Students must have a clear understanding of the learning objectives and library practice requirements through constructive dialogue with the practical institution. They also need to build a professional network and participate in activities that broaden their understanding of various types of practices. However, the lack of variety in the scope of practices suggests the need for guidance or alignment activities before the practical placement is carried out, allowing students to choose a practice type that aligns with their mentor's educational background.

Abstract

Jargon or slogans are essential elements in television advertisements, designed to be memorable and to influence the audience's perception and attitude towards the product. This study aims to analyze the impact of using advertising jargon on television on audience attitude changes within the context of information science. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire involving 83 respondents from various age groups and occupations. The study explores the audience’s understanding of advertising jargon, the positioning of the jargon within the ads, and the emotional and cognitive appeal it generates. The findings show that 92.77% of respondents understand the jargon used in advertisements, and the majority find advertising jargon highly appealing (83.13%). Most respondents (72.29%) identified that jargon is typically placed in the middle of the advertisement, where audience attention is at its peak. Additionally, 73.49% of respondents felt compelled to purchase the product due to the jargon used. This indicates that jargon plays a significant role in creating emotional appeal and enhancing the audience's memory of the advertised product. Overall, this study reinforces the importance of using advertising jargon in television as an effective tool for shaping perceptions and influencing consumer purchase decisions.
