Abstract

This study aims to determine students' responses to face-to-face physics learning after previously conducting online learning at Singkawang City High School. The research used a survey method with descriptive data analysis techniques. The population in this study were tenth grade students at State High Schools in Singkawang City. The research sample was taken using cluster sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire, namely a questionnaire on responses to post-covid-19 pandemic physics learning with the help of Google Form media. The results showed that students' positive responses to face-to-face learning were higher than negative responses, with positive responses averaging 72% and negative responses only 28%. Based on the categories of Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor, the highest percentage obtained was in the Excellent category, with 35%.

Abstract

The learning of physics is often considered one of the most challenging subjects for students, as it requires a deep understanding of concepts and strong analytical skills. Difficulties in comprehending the material can affect students' motivation and learning strategies, which may ultimately impact their level of learning independence. This study employs a quantitative method with a simple linear regression approach. The sample consists of 30 students from SMPN 01 Singkawang, selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring students' learning difficulties and learning independence. The analysis results indicate that Learning Difficulties do not have a significant effect on Learning Independence, with a p-value of 0.1531, which is greater than the significance level of 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.0715 suggests that only 7.15% of the variation in Learning Independence can be explained by Learning Difficulties, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the effect of the Make A Match Learning Model assisted by the Snakes and Ladders Game Media on Learning Activity in Grade III IPAS Learning SDN 87 Singkawang; 2) find out how much influence the Make A Match Learning Model can increase Learning Activity in Grade III IPAS Learning SDN 87 Singkawang; 3) find out the student's response in using the Make A Match Learning Model assisted by the Snakes and Ladders Game Media on Learning Activity in Grade III IPAS Learning SDN 87 Singkawang. The research method is Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group-Pretest-Posttest-Design. Data collection techniques in this study used non-test techniques, namely, observation and questionnaire. The instruments in this study are, namely, Student Activity Observation Sheets and Response Questionnaire Sheets. The population in the study were all third grade students of SDN 87 Singkawang. The research sample was taken by non probability sampling with a saturated sample totaling 22 third grade students. The prerequisite test carried out is the normality test using SPSS 25 for windows software. The first hypothesis testing uses the N-gain test, the second hypothesis is the Dependent t-test and the third uses the average formula. The results showed that: 1) There is an increase in student learning activeness by using the Make A Match model assisted by snakes and ladders game media with the N-Gain test of 0.68 classified in the medium category; 2) Based on the results of calculating student data using the SPPS application using the Dependent T-Test Test, it is known that the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that the results obtained are, there is an effect of using make a match learning assisted by snakes and ladders media on student learning activeness; 3) based on the average data of the response questionnaire that researchers gave to students after the Post Test, the percentage of each indicator of student response was in the very good and sufficient category. The highest percentage is in the conclusion indicator which is 100%. From each of these indicators that can affect students' responses in learning. Then the average percentage of the overall student response was obtained at 93% in the very good category. So the results obtained are, there is a positive student response to the Make A Match model assisted by snakes and ladders media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence between student learning motivation and gender on students' science process skills in physics learning. This study is included in the type of survey with a comparative design and uses a quantitative approach to analyze the relationship between variables. The population in this study is all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Singkawang, data was taken using saturated sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study was a learning motivation questionnaire consisting of 22 statements and science process skills test questions consisting of 10 expanded multiple-choice questions. The data analysis technique used in this study is the two-way ANOVA Test. The results of the hypothesis test show that. (1) There is no difference in students' science process skills based on learning motivation in physics learning. (2) There is no difference in students' science process skills based on gender in physics learning. (3) There is an influence of student learning motivation and gender on students' science process skills in physics learning. With a sig value > 0.05 for hypotheses (1) and (2), while a sig value < 0.05 for hypothesis (3). From the explanation above, it can be concluded that individually, learning motivation and gender do not affect students' science process skills. But the combination of these two variables affects students' science process skills in physics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) determine the effect of the TGT learning model assisted by ROMA Media on the mathematics learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN 11 Bentunai; 2) find out how much influence the application of the TGT learning model assisted by ROMA Media has on the mathematics learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN 11 Bentunai. The research method used was Quasi Experimental with a Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SDN 11 Bentunai. The research sample was taken using non-probability sampling with a saturated sample. The prerequisite tests carried out were a normality test using SPSS version 25 and a homogeneity test to see the similarity of the variants of the two groups. Data analysis was carried out universally with a significance level of 0.05. Testing the first hypothesis used the independent sample t-test, testing the second hypothesis using the effect size test, and testing the third hypothesis using the average formula. The results of the research show that: 1) the influence of the TGT learning model assisted by ROMA Media on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This is proven by the independent sample t-test of 0.007, which is smaller (<) than 0.05; 2) moderate influence of the application of the TGT learning model assisted by ROMA Media on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This is proven by the effect size test of 0.75 in the medium category.
