Abstract

One of the factors that influence achievement is the level of intelligence. From this background, this research formulates research objectives, namely to determine the implementation, teacher and student responses and the constraints experienced by students when implementing group guidance services with self-instruction techniques to increase adversity. quotient in underachiever students. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 32 underachiever students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Garut for the academic year 2019 - 2020. The results of the study were obtained group guidance services with self-instruction techniques can be used to improve adversity quotient for underachiever students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Garut. The response of most underachiever students with low adversity quotient felt very happy with the implementation of group guidance services with self-instruction techniques and most of them became better and more knowledgeable about self-instruction technique group guidance services in increasing adversity quotient. The constraints faced by students are that not all students are motivated to take group guidance services with self-instruction techniques, because there are still some who don't, so that students still find it difficult to express their opinions in group discussions.Keywords: : Self Instruction Technique, underachiever students, Adversity quotient

Abstract

This journal discussed about the derivation and affixation process in English speech. Derivation is one type of linguistics morphology that involved word formation, and there are affixes used to construct new word. The aims is to analyzed what kinds of derivation and affixation mostly used on Dananjaya Hettiarachchi speech (I See Something). The data are all words containing derivation and affixation that found in Dananjaya Hettiarachchi Speech entitled I See Something. The descriptive qualitative method used to analyze the data. The technique of data collecting is documentation from https://www.linkedin.com/ accessed on May 23, 2018. From the data collection, the researchers found that adjective formation is the mostly used in the derivational process, which consist of 6 variations in 13 words. The second is noun formation, which consist of 3 variations in 12 words. The third is adverb formation, which consist of 3 variations in 3 words. And the last is verb formation, which consist of 2 variations in 2 words. While the affixes that mostly used is suffix, which consist of 11 suffixes used. The second is prefixing only 1 prefix used. And the researchers didn’t found infix on the speech text. Keywords: Derivation, Affixation, Process, Speech.

Abstract

This research focuses on the use types of references (anaphoric, cataphoric, and exophoric reference) in the text of Malin Kundang folklore. The objectives of this research are to find out what types of reference used in folklore of Malin Kundang and how many types of reference for all paragraph in text of Malin Kundang folklore. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative method.. The researchers got the data from document analysis namely in the text of Malin Kundang folklore. The result from this research was the result from the tenth paragraph of the text of Malin Kundang folklore that have already done to analysis, there were 6 anaphoric references, 6 cataphoric references, and 3 exophoric references, so types of reference that many used in the text of Malin Kundang folklore were anaphoric and cataphoric references and the total of types of reference in the text of Malin Kundang are 15 types of references.

Abstract

Globalization is often referred to as the era that has resulted from the entry of foreign cultural expression. The impact of globalization can affect life, including the language aspect. Facts show among young people including students who use more Indonesian language. Of course this should be wary if you do not want the Indonesian language "disappeared" from the earth of Indonesia. This study aims: 1) to know the ability of IKIP Siliwangi students understand the Indonesian word equivalents; 2) to know the frequency of students of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung using the equivalent of the Indonesian word. This research uses descriptive qualitative, research object is student of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data collection techniques use simple calculation techniques. From the results of data analysis obtained: 1) the ability of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung students know the equivalence of the Indonesian word a number of 78.15%, 2) the frequency of students IKIP Siliwangi Bandung using the equivalent of the Indonesian word amount of 11.3%.

Abstract

The background of this research is the result of observation data of 20 children at Preschool who had difficulty in improving naturalist intelligence and lack of practice in conducting learn so they only relied on visual or image media without touching direct experiments with children. The research aimed to overcome this problem, researchers used the method of planting cucumber plants in the hope of increating naturalist intelligence in children can emerge and develop optimaly. This studi use is quasy- experimental . Design by designing a comparison of the control group desain with data collection techniques for pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of the study there is an increase in naturalist intelligence in children  who have a value of the initial test of 75,1 and with the final test 79,85 this it can be concluded that the application of the method of palnting cucumber plants has a good and very effective effect on the development  of naturallis intelligence in children in particular in children at Preschool.Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil data observasi siswa PAUD yang berjumlah 20 anak mengalami kesulitan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis dan kurangnya praktek dalam melakukan pembelajaran sehingga hanya mengandalkan media visual atau gambar saja tanpa sentuhan percobaan langsung terhadap anak. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode tata cara menanam tanaman mentimun dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis pada anak sehingga kecerdasan naturalis yang ada dalam diri anak bisa muncul dan berkembang dengan maksimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimental dengan merancang perbandingan control group desain dengan teknik pengumpulan data pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan kecerdasan naturalis pada anak yang mempunyai nilai dari tes awal sebesar 75,1 dan dengan test akhir 79,85 dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode tata cara menanam tanaman mentimun berpengaruh baik dan sangat efektif terhadap perkembangan kecerdasan naturalis pada anak khususnya pada anak di PAUD.

Abstract

Indonesia menempati posisi 60 dari 61 negara dengan budaya literasi terendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyak siswa sekolah dasar yang kesulitan menyusun kata menjadi kalimat atau mengelompokkan beberapa kalimat menjadi satu paragraf. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beberapa permasalahan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di Indonesia, antara lain: (1) kemampuan menulis sangat rendah; (2) minat menulis siswa sangat rendah; (2) guru lebih banyak mengajar teori menulis daripada siswa berlatih menulis; (4) membatasi penggunaan alat peraga dalam proses pembelajaran menulis; (5) siswa menganggap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia tidak menarik dan sangat membosankan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh gambaran proses penerapan metode quantum writing serta hasil kemampuan menuis dengan menerapkan metode tersebut. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen (analisis kuantitatif). Data kuantitatif meliputi data hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan menulis paragraf siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa penerapan metode quantum writing mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf narasi siswa disesuaikan dengan usia perkembangan siswa serta alat pendukung yaitu big book.

Abstract

This research has several objectives, including to find out; (1) the increase in the application of the Problem Based Learning model to student learning activities; (2) the process of applying the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' concept understanding abilities; and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers and students in implementing learning by using the Problem Based Learning model. The method used is mix method with sequential explanatory design. The research was located at SD Negeri Cigugur Tengah Mandiri 1 with 30 fifth grade students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques through tests (pretest and posttest), observation sheets, interviews and questionnaires. Based on quantitative data obtained through the N-gain test, there is an increase in the concept understanding ability of fifth grade students with an N-gain score of 0.73 categorized as high. While the qualitative data results of the acquisition of student response questionnaire scores obtained an average value of 85% in the “Very Good” category and the teacher's questionnaire gave a positive response. The obstacles faced by students include difficulties in understanding the concept of material changes in the form of objects, students are less actively involved in working in groups so that the material presented is not well absorbed by students, lack of self-confidence so that students are embarrassed to be active in asking questions and presenting the results that have been obtained. The obstacles faced by teachers from the results of interviews reveal that the level of students' ability to understand the material is different, lack of concentration, less active in learning and lack of props because it must require extra time and sufficient costs.
