Abstract

The Character of education needs to be instilled in students from an early age so it needs to be integrated in learning through the teaching materials used. This is intended to change the mindset towards learning that only dwells on the cognitive domain so that it touches more on a more fundamental aspect, namely the character of students. This paper aims to identify the extent to which character education is implemented in Arabic language textbooks at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah. With a qualitative approach to the type of library research, the data were collected through documentation techniques. The main data source of this research is the Arabic language textbook for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah curriculum 2013 based on KMA No. 183 of 2019. From the analysis of the existing findings, it was found that the content of character education has been gradually integrated into the textbooks through systematic theme preparation, material selection, as well as additional content in books such as picture illustrations, and the introduction of language skills.

Abstract

Arabic literacy is a necessity that needs to be nurtured from an early age for students, especially among students. As millennials, the better literacy skills they have, the better their academic achievement will be so that they are more ready to answer the challenges of the times. This paper tries to dissect the various strategies that can be done to strengthen Arabic literacy for millennial students who are members of the MTSN 1 Kota Bima Boarding School Program. Through descriptive qualitative research with the case study method, it can be seen that the literacy strengthening program is carried out through habituation, development, and learning activities by combining the intracurricular curriculum and the non-curricular supplement curriculum. Arabic literacy can go hand in hand, reinforce each other with Al-Qur'an literacy and can be developed through digital literacy skills. The obstacle that is still being faced is the perception of the guardians of the students and the learning motivation of the students.

Abstract

This paper aims to elaborate on the existence and dynamics of learning Arabic at the basic education level and its relevance to the development of digital literacy. Using a literature study type research method and analytic descriptive techniques, this paper wants to describe research problems with the help of bibliographical data sourced from writings, papers, journals, and scientific articles as well as books that are relevant. Next, analyze the opportunities and challenges of developing digital literacy in learning Arabic at the basic education level. The findings obtained are that opportunities that can be targeted include wider access to language learning resources, interactive and interesting learning experiences, availability of global connectivity and language exchange, availability of digital applications for language practice, and providing an effective evaluation and feedback system. While the challenges faced are uneven access to technology, uneven technical competence of users, language barriers, limited range of focus and attention of students, digital security risks, psychological, social and health disorders.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the extent of the effectiveness of the Arabic camp program in supporting the mastery of maharah kalam. This research uses an experimental design and applies a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest and posttest design with three steps: 1) Pre-test carried out to determine variables, 2) Give X treatment to the subject, 3) Carry out post-test, and analyze scores pre-test and post-test to determine the differences caused by the treatment. The population of this study was 200 MTSN 1 Bima City students consisting of 6 classes. Then the researchers determined a sample of 20 people using purposive sampling technique. The results of data analysis show that student learning achievement in the pre-test was 71.7 and post-test was 86.1. This shows that Arabic camp is a good strategy to support the mastery of maharah kalam in MTSN 1 Kota Bima students. After analyzing the data using the t test formula, the t test value (11.86) was greater than the t table value (2.093). There is a significant influence of the Arabic language camp program on student achievement in the Arabic language learning process. The implementation of the Arabic camp at MTSN 1 Bima City lasted for three days and this had a positive effect on students' skills in maharah kalam.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify relevant prophetic values and the model for developing an Arabic-speaking environment based on prophetic communication. The type of research used is a literature study and descriptive-analytic technique to describe the research problems based on literature data taken from writings, papers, journals, and relevant scientific articles or books. Furthermore, it examines how the internalization of prophetic communication values can develop an Arabic-speaking environment. The findings indicate that the prophetic communication values relevant for implementation in education and learning should be based on the four prophetic traits with the vision of humanization, liberation, and transcendence in the forms of qaulan (words) sadidan, balighan, kariman, ma’rufan, layyinan, and maysura. This can be internalized in the Arabic-speaking environment development program by creating a positive learning atmosphere, building strong relationships, developing language skills holistically, creating an environment that supports language practice, and setting an example in language use.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court's decisions are not always implemented. This is proven by two Constitutional Court decisions in reviewing the Marriage Law (hereinafter written as UUP) which was "floating" (floating execution). In other words, it was not followed up with changes to norms as mandated in the Constitutional Court decision. The two decisions in question are Decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 and regarding the birth of illegitimate children and Decision Number 69/PUU-XIII/2015 regarding marriage agreements. The two decisions above both cancel several articles in the UUP. Decision number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 annulled Article 43 paragraph (1) of the UUP which limits the civil relations of illegitimate children to only the mother and her mother's family. Meanwhile, in decision number 69/PUU-XIII/2015, the Constitutional Court annulled the provisions in Article 29 paragraph (3) of the UUP regarding marriage agreements which are only limited to the time before the marriage takes place. This research aims to trace the ratio decidendi in the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the judicial review of UUP, analyze the Constitutional Court's decision through al-qawaid al-fiqhiyyah al-qadhaiyyah, analyze the existence of juridical legal norms in UUP which were annulled by the Constitutional Court in relation to legal certainty and reconstruct the Constitutional Court's ideal relationship with executive and legislative powers so as to produce legal decisions that are implementable. Methodologically, this research seeks to analyze the prescriptive justification for three "floating" MK decisions. Therefore, this research is classified as doctrinal legal research which focuses on the rules of necessity (das sollen). Thus, the primary data sources in this research are the three Constitutional Court decisions in question, namely Decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 concerning illegitimate children and Decision Number 69/PUU-XIII/2015 concerning marriage agreements. The results show that there are checks and balances, in this case, that is, each branch of power can supervise and balance so that no state institution is supreme. Therefore, the emphasis of the separation of powers is to clarify the position of each branch of power in carrying out its constitutional functions, and ultimately, to avoid overlapping between existing authorities.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of Cognitive Load Theory developed by John Sweller and its implications for Arabic language learning at the elementary education level. Using a literature review approach and descriptive-analytical techniques, this study provides an in-depth analysis of relevant literature. The findings reveal that Cognitive Load Theory highlights the limitations of working memory in processing information, which includes intrinsic, extrinsic, and germane cognitive loads. In Arabic language learning, this theory guides educators to reduce intrinsic cognitive load through simplifying teaching materials and introducing concepts gradually. Additionally, extrinsic cognitive load can be minimized by improving the quality of media, teaching materials, and relevant interactive teaching strategies. Meanwhile, germane cognitive load can be optimized through learning activities that reinforce students' cognitive schemas, such as contextual practice, visualization, and consistent repetition. Implementing this theory makes learning more effective and efficient, helping students gradually overcome the complexities of the Arabic language. Consequently, students' learning motivation is maintained, and the learning process becomes more meaningful. These findings are relevant for developing learning strategies oriented toward the cognitive needs of students at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the application of the hermeneutic approach in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an relating to education. In the modern context, hermeneutics is certainly seen as an alternative method of interpretation that seeks to connect the text, context, and subjectivity of the reader in order to gain a more relevant understanding of the educational values in the Qur'an. The research method used is descriptive qualitative based on literature studies as a step to visualize and analyze related to the study in this study to trace the history of hermeneutics, variants in hermeneutics, figures of Qur'anic hermeneutics in interpreting educational verses, and how the polemics that occur between groups that are pro-hermeneutics and against it. The results of the research that can be presented in this study are that the hermeneutic method can contribute to enriching the discourse of interpretation so that it can open space for a more dynamic and contextual understanding of educational verses such as Qs. Al-Alaq verses 1-5, Qs. Al-Mujadalah verse 11, Qs. Luqman verse 13, Qs. Al-Ahzab verse 21, and Qs. An-Nahl verse 125. However, in this case, caution is needed to maintain the integrity of the meaning contained in the text itself, especially the text of the Qur'an. With this research, the author certainly hopes it will be a valuable contribution as an interpretation methodology that is appropriate to the challenges of the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana upaya guru ngaji dalam menyikapi perubahan minat membaca al-Qur’an pada anak akibat penggunaan gadget di Desa Kawuwu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dan untuk Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap 1) pengolahan data, 2) penyajan data, 3) penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan minat anak-anak di Desa Kawuwu telah mengalami perubahan pada beberapa tahun terakhir dimana sekarang peneliti mendapatkan bahwa minat anak-anak sudah sangat berkurang yang diakibatkan oleh adanya gadget serta kesediaan akses internet yang membuat mereka lupa akan tugasnya untuk belajar al-Qur’an. Oleh demikian guru melakukan upaya berupa berkolaborasi dengan orang tua, guru, tokoh agama serta masyarakat untuk menangani hal tersebut. Disamping itu guru juga mengunakan cara dengan memberikan tugas hafalan ayat-ayat pendek kepada muridnya dengan tujuan agar mereka tidak hanya menggunakan waktu disiang harinya untuk bermain-main. Dan dari hasi penelitian minat membaca al-Qur’an pada anak di Desa Kawuwu mengalami penurunan sebesar 66%, dilihat dari hasil wawancara dengan jumlah reponden yang telah ditentukan.
