Abstract

The expertise of al-Tirmidhi in collecting the Prophetic tradition has been proven when he used the term wa fi al-bab (in this topic there is hadith) according to narrators among the companions. However, these indicative hadiths were failed to receive adequate attention of the scholars and primarily about its functions and benefits to strengthening any hadiths which explicitly mentioned in the chapter. Therefore this study aims to reveal the existence of indicative hadiths by al-Tirmidhi in various books of hadith to determine its function. The study found in the chapter on marriage, there are thirty-one (31) sub chapters which contain (108) indicative hadiths, and the values are; nineteen (19) sub chapters had sahih (sound), seven (7) had hasan (good), and five (5) sub chapters in da‘if status (weak). The study also found in the chapter on sell and buy, there are fivety-three (53) sub chapters which contain (180) indicative hadiths, and the values are; thirty-neen (39) sub chapters had sahih (sound), eleven (11) had hasan (good), and three (3) sub chapters in da‘if status (weak). The study also found the existence of indicative hadiths in Sunan al-Tirmidhi serve as mutabi‘at (parralelism), and shawahid (witnesses). Hence, the implications of this study shows that those indicative hadiths in the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi are deemed utilizable as most of them are having the status of acceptable (maqbul). This study contribute by al-Tirmdzi significantly in the future exploration of the numerous indicative hadiths found in other chapters as they are deemed as important evidence in the execution of the Islamic law who serves as mutaba'at.

Abstract

This research article examines the method of authenticity of the hadith "al-mustadrak" in the book of al-mustadrak 'ala sahihain. The research method used is the library research method, namely research carried out through collecting data or scientific writings that are literary in nature to solve a particular problem or study. The focus and purpose of this research is to know and describe a brief biography of Imam al-Hakim Al-Naysaburi, and to know the method of authenticity of the hadith "al-mustadrak" in the book of al-mustadrak 'ala sahihain. The results of the study show that first, Imam al-Hakim Al-Naysaburi is a person who studies hadith which in the course of his life which lasted for approximately 84 years, al-Hakim has made many contributions in the field of hadith through his monumental work al-Mustadrak 'ala Shahihain. Second, in determining the validity of the hadith, al-Hakim uses a pure method of ijtihad reasoning and divides the concept of ijtihad into four points of view, namely: (1) judging from the criteria for the validity of the hadith; (2) seen from the classification of hadith; (3) seen from the approach of sanad and matan status; and (4) seen from the standard of determining the validity of the hadith.

Abstract

Karya tafsir al-Qur’an ditulis dalam rangka memberikan penjelasan seputar ayat-ayat al- Qur’an sehingga memudahkan umat Islam dalam memahaminya. Penulisan karya tafsir al- Qur’an pada perkembangannya tidak hanya ditulis menggunakan bahasa Arab, namun juga ditulis dalam bahasa yang lain seperti bahasa Indonesia hingga bahasa daerah. Artikel ini hendak mengulas karya tafsir al-Qur’an berbahasa Madura dengan dua pokok bahasan: Pertama, periodisasi penulisan tafsir al-Quran di Madura. Kedua, karya-karya tafsir al-Qur’an berbahasa Madura. Artikel ini berlandaskan riset pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif sehingga menghasilkan kesimpulan berikut: Pertama, penulisan karya tafsir al-Qur’an dapat disenaraikan dalam tiga periode yaitu masa kelahiran, masa pertumbuhan, dan masa perkembangan. Kedua, ditemukan beberapa karya tafsir al-Qur’an yang ditulis menggunakan bahasa Madura dengan corak dan metode yang beragam.

Abstract

This article seeks to examine an important issue widely discussed among Muslim thinkers, namely environmental issues. The main cause of the emergence of the environmental crisis cannot be separated from the paradigm used by modern civilization towards the environment and this crisis cannot be overcome except by changing the paradigm used in viewing the environment. So this study will portray the phenomenon of environmental crisis and solutions in overcoming the problem from the perspective of contemporary Islamic discourse by analyzing the ideas offered by Abdul Majid Al-Najjar. The method used by the author in this study is a qualitative research method, by elaborating reference sources that are relevant to the topic of study. The theory used in this research is the theory of ecological philosophy of Arne Naess. The results of this study are: First, the concept of environment in Islamic discourse according to Abd al-Majid al-Najjar includes two important lines, namely: The spiritual reality of the environment, which views that the environment is a manifestation of divinity where God's attributes are revealed through environmental reality. The material reality of the environment is the substance of reality that exists in the real world. These two environmental realities cannot be separated from each other in viewing the environment. Second, in caring for the environment, Abdul Majid Al-Najjar uses the term “irtifaq” which is a combination of meanings between the utilization of natural resources and environmental preservation simultaneously. The ethics of natural resource utilization must be carried out proportionally according to needs, while the ethics of environmental preservation include maintaining the environment from damage, pollution, and pollution. الملخص تبحث هذه المقالة عن دراسة قضية مهمة وخطيرة التي تتم مناقشاتها حاليا في نطاق واسع عند العلماء والمفكرين المسلمين وهي قضية البيئة في الخطاب الإسلامي المعاصر. إن السبب الأصلي في ظهور الأزمة البيئية هو التصور الفكر الثقافي الذي حمله إنسان الحضارة الحديثة عن البيئة، وأن معالجة هذه الأزمة معالجة حقيقية لا تتحقق إلا بتغيير فكري ثقافي عميق لهذا التصور الثقافي. ولذلك تركز هذه الدراسة على الجهود المبذولة لتصوير ظواهر الأزمات البيئية المنتشرة في العالم وطريق معالجتها من منظور التصور الثقافي الإسلامي بتحليل عن فكرة عبد المجيد النجار. وأما النظرية المستخدمة في هذا البحث فهي نظرية الفلسفة الإيكولوجية لأرني ناييس. وأما نتائج هذا البحث فهي: الأولي، إن مفهوم البيئة في التصور الخطاب الإسلامي عند عبد المجيد النجار يشتمل على خطان، وهي: الحقيقة الروحية للبيئة التي تعتبر بأن البيئة من التجلى الإلهى وتتجلى فيه صفات الله. والحقيقة المادية للبيئة التي تعتبر أنها مادة واقعية حقيقية ليست مجرد وجود ذهني أو عقلي أو خيالي، إن هذان خطان لا ينفك أحدهما عن الأخر في تصور الحقيقة البيئية. الثانية، استخدم عبد المجيد النجار مصطلح "إرتفاق" عبارة على أن لفظ الإرتفاق يجمع في مادته معنى النفع ومعنى اللطف، وطريقة إرتفاق البيئة يشتمل على الإستنفاع البيئي بشكل متوازن مع الاحتياجات دون اسراف والرفق بالبيئة الذي يشتمل على الرفق الصياني والرفق الإستهلاكي من الفساد، والتلف، والتلوث. Abstrak Artikel ini berupaya untuk mengkaji isu penting yang marak diperbincangkan di kalangan pemikir muslim yaitu isu lingkungan. Penyebab utama munculnya krisis lingkungan hidup tidak bisa dilepaskan dari paradigma yang digunakan oleh masyarakat peradaban modern terhadap lingkungan hidup dan krisis ini tidak bisa diatasi kecuali dengan perubahan paradigma yang digunakan dalam melihat lingkungan. Maka kajian ini akan memotret fenomena krisis lingkungan serta solusi dalam mengatasi problem tersebut ditinjauan dari perspektif wacana keislaman kontemporer dengan menganalisis gagasan yang ditawarkan oleh Abdul Majid Al-Najjar. Adapun metode yang digunakan penulis dalam kajian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan mengelaborasi sumber referensi yang relevan dengan topik kajian. Sedangkan teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori filsafat ekologi Arne Naess. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, konsep lingkungan dalam wacana keislaman menurut Abd al-Majid al-Najjar mencakup dua garis penting, yaitu: realitas spiritual dari lingkungan, yang memandang bahwa lingkungan adalah dari manifestasi ketuhanan dimana sifat-sifat Tuhan ditampakkan melalui realitas lingkungan. Adapun realitas material dari lingkungan merupakan substansi realitas yang ada dalam dunia nyata. Kedua realitas lingkungan ini tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain dalam melihat lingkungan. Kedua, Dalam merawat lingkungan, Abdul Majid Al-Najjar menggunakan istilah “irtifaq” merupakan gabungan makna antara pemanfaatan sumber daya alam dan pelestarian lingkungan secara bersamaan. Etika pemanfaatan sumber daya alam harus dilakukan secara proporsional sesuai dengan kebutuhan, sedangkan etika pelestarian lingkungan meliputi pemeliharaan lingkungan dari kerusakan, pencemaran dan polusi.

Abstract

Respecting differences is one form of a good person. Implementation of one's manners. Manners are part of what education aims to achieve. In fact, manners itself is the meaning of education itself, which can be interpreted by instilling manners in humans.Educational institutions play an important role in making students, as members of society, civilized or noble. Educating learners must be done early in early childhood education. Islamic Religious Education and Ethics (PAIBP) is one of the educational materials taught in elementary schools.This research examines how the values of religious moderation are instilled through Islamic Religious Education and Ethics (PAIBP) in elementary school children in urban areas, with a focus on SDN Pajagalan I Sumenep which is located in an urban area and has pluralistic students, both in terms of religion and cultural background. This research uses a qualitative, case study approach. With data sources coming from teachers, students and guardians of non-Muslim students. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The data was analyzed using interactive model analysis. Checking the validity of the data is done by extending observation, triangulation and checking the results with the PAIBP teacher at school.The results revealed that inclusive and tolerant religious education plays a significant role in shaping attitudes of tolerance and harmony among students with various religious backgrounds. Religious moderation in this school is implemented through various methods and approaches, both in formal learning in the classroom and through extracurricular and religious activities.The cultivation of religious moderation values not only creates a harmonious school environment but also contributes to broader social stability. Moderate religious education has proven to be effective in preventing radicalism and extremism in urban communities, thereby shaping a young generation that is moderate and able to live harmoniously in a multicultural society. These findings confirm the importance of inclusive religious education as a strategic solution to the challenges of diversity and enhancing interfaith harmony.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court's decisions are not always implemented. This is proven by two Constitutional Court decisions in reviewing the Marriage Law (hereinafter written as UUP) which was "floating" (floating execution). In other words, it was not followed up with changes to norms as mandated in the Constitutional Court decision. The two decisions in question are Decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 and regarding the birth of illegitimate children and Decision Number 69/PUU-XIII/2015 regarding marriage agreements. The two decisions above both cancel several articles in the UUP. Decision number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 annulled Article 43 paragraph (1) of the UUP which limits the civil relations of illegitimate children to only the mother and her mother's family. Meanwhile, in decision number 69/PUU-XIII/2015, the Constitutional Court annulled the provisions in Article 29 paragraph (3) of the UUP regarding marriage agreements which are only limited to the time before the marriage takes place. This research aims to trace the ratio decidendi in the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the judicial review of UUP, analyze the Constitutional Court's decision through al-qawaid al-fiqhiyyah al-qadhaiyyah, analyze the existence of juridical legal norms in UUP which were annulled by the Constitutional Court in relation to legal certainty and reconstruct the Constitutional Court's ideal relationship with executive and legislative powers so as to produce legal decisions that are implementable. Methodologically, this research seeks to analyze the prescriptive justification for three "floating" MK decisions. Therefore, this research is classified as doctrinal legal research which focuses on the rules of necessity (das sollen). Thus, the primary data sources in this research are the three Constitutional Court decisions in question, namely Decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010 concerning illegitimate children and Decision Number 69/PUU-XIII/2015 concerning marriage agreements. The results show that there are checks and balances, in this case, that is, each branch of power can supervise and balance so that no state institution is supreme. Therefore, the emphasis of the separation of powers is to clarify the position of each branch of power in carrying out its constitutional functions, and ultimately, to avoid overlapping between existing authorities.

Abstract

Since 2010, Muhammadiyah has entered the second century after its founding. Its existence has attracted researchers to discuss it in various aspects. This research aims to describe which journals, authors, affiliations and countries contribute to the study of Muhammadiyah. Then how studies on Muhammadiyah build upon each other from 1995 to 2023.This research uses bibliometric analysis, by analysing 923 documents indexed by Scopus with the keyword Muhammadiyah. Data processing and analysis used biblioshiny applications run through R and R-Studio applications.The research found that within 28 years, from 1995 - 2023, there were 2294 authors, 164 single authors, 6.609% international authorship collaboration, and 26703 references with an average citation per document of 3,243 citations related to Muhammadiyah. Academics who study are not only from Indonesia and internal Muhammadiyah universities, but also from various countries in the world.There are five Scopus indexed journals and proceedings that publish many studies on Muhammadiyah, namely: Journal of Physics: Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, International Journal of Scientific and Technology Research, and Studia Islamika.Based on the results of bibliometric analysis, the trending topics are student, learning and school. Future research on Muhammadiyah can be used as a reference to discuss titles related to the words Muhammadiyah, Indonesia and Islamic. This trend is in accordance with Muhammadiyah's existence as a da'wah and social religious organization that wants to develop Islamic values in Indonesia in a widespread and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dan membandingkan dua perspektif mufassir modern terhadap ayat-ayat riba dalam Al-Qur’an, khususnya Surat Al-Baqarah ayat 276–279 dan Surat Ali Imran ayat 130, melalui dua tafsir kontemporer: Tafsir al-Manar karya Muhammad Abduh dan Rasyid Ridha, serta Tafsir al-Munir karya Wahbah al-Zuhaili. Fokus kajiannya mencakup bagaimana masing-masing mufassir menafsirkan ayat-ayat tersebut dan bagaimana mereka mengkontekstualisasikannya dengan fenomena ribawi modern seperti bunga bank. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-komparatif untuk menguraikan dan menganalisis pemikiran kedua tokoh secara sistematis dan objektif. Muhammad Abduh berpandangan bahwa riba yang diharamkan adalah riba nasi’ah, yaitu tambahan yang bersifat zalim dan berlipat ganda sebagaimana praktik pada masa jahiliah, sementara riba fadhl tidak haram karena tidak mengandung kezaliman. Oleh karena itu, bunga bank menurutnya bisa dibolehkan selama tidak merugikan salah satu pihak. Sebaliknya, Wahbah al-Zuhaili menyatakan bahwa seluruh bentuk tambahan adalah riba dan haram, kecuali dalam kondisi darurat. Baginya, bunga bank tetap termasuk riba karena tambahan apapun atas pinjaman merupakan ‘illat keharamannya.
