Abstract

ThThe Covid-19 outbreak affects education sector thus the teaching is undertaken remotely. Teachers and students use digital platforms to continue the teaching–learning processes. The present study was carried out to determine the digital literacy of pre-service science teachers at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Universitas Muhamadiyah Riau and Universitas Negeri Padang. Conducted through a formulated survey involving 115 science education students among those universities, the data were collected through digital literacy questionnaire adapted from ‘DigComp21 the digital competence framework for citizens”. The data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics through SPPS 23 for windows application. Based on results obtained in this line of research, it showed that the digital literacy of pre-service science teachers was in the medium category with a score of 61.8%, and therefore, it indicated that there was no significant effect based on educational institution factors. The majority of students have low skills to create digital contents.

Abstract

The present study was carried out to analyze the digital literacy for pre-service natural science teachers through a workshop on optimizing the use of Microsoft office software. This study explored an experimental method with the one-group pretest-posttest design. The current research adopted 25 students as the pre-service natural science teachers in the Natural Sciences Study Program of the Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of the Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University. The data were collected through providing instruments of multiple-choice tests on the pretest and posttest, questionnaire, and interview to measure the improvement of digital literacy. To analyze the data, a technique to calculate the mean score of the normalized gain (N-gain) was performed. The findings disclosed that the mean score of N-gain digital literacy for pre-service natural science teachers was 0.70 with the high category. Based on results obtained in this line of research, it is therefore concluded that there was an improvement in the digital literacy for pre-service natural science teachers with high category through the workshop on optimizing the use of Microsoft Office software.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, learning at the university or school level has implemented online learning. Even though the learning is conducted online, the teacher candidate's scientific argumentation skills must be trained. One way is through the MIKIR approach. The purpose of this research is analyzing the science pre-service teachers’ scientific argumentation skills by using MIKIR approach during pandemic covid-19. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a one-shot case study design. The research sample was 50 pre-service teachers. The instrument was an argumentation essay test based on the argumentation aspects according to Toulmin; claim, data, warrant and backing. The science pre-service teachers’ scientific argumentation skills will be analyzed through the one-sample T test assisted by the SPSS version 22 application. The results of this study is shown by the T score, 0.010> 0.05, is larger than a significance level. It means that MIKIR approach during pandemic covid-19 can practice significantly to the scientific argumentation skills of science pre-service teachers.  Keywords: science pre-service teachers’ scientific argumentation skills, MIKIR approach, science learning during pandemic covid-19 ABSTRAK Sejak pandemi covid-19, pembelajaran baik di tingkat universitas atau sekolah menerapkan pembelajaran daring (online). Meskipun pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring, kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah calon guru IPA tetap harus dilatihkan. Salah satu caranya adalah melalui pendekatan MIKiR. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengukur pengaruh pendekatan MIKiR dalam pembelajaran online terhadap kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah calon guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian adalah 50 calon guru IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes argumentasi berupa soal esai berdasarkan aspek  argumentasi menurut Toulmin; claim, data, warrant dan backing. Kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah calon guru IPA akan dideskripsikan dan dianalisis  melalui uji T  satu sampel berbantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian ditemukan skor uji T 0,010 > 0,05 yang artinya pendekatan MIKiR selama pandemi covid-19 dapat melatihkan kemampuan argumentasi calon guru IPA secara signifikan.Kata kunci: kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah calon guru IPA, metode MIKiR, pembelajaran IPA selama pandemic covid-19

Abstract

This study aims to identify the process of making ethnofood lomang and the scientific elements contained in this traditional food culture. The research used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study method or approach. Data collection techniques using observation and interview methods. The results of the study show local wisdom to know the process of making lomang. The process of making lomang through several stages. Among them are the selection of tolang bamboo and banana shoots, and the washing of tolang bamboo and pulut rice. Furthermore, before the roasting process, the lamang to be burned must be given coconut milk and first tied the top of the excess banana leaf at the base of the bamboo. Keywords : Local Wisdom, Ethnoscience, Ethnofood for Making Lomang, Science Learning

Abstract

As technology and information advances so rapidly, technology has driven developments in the world of education. This can be seen from the use of various learning media and also the tools used in the learning process are increasingly advanced and sophisticated, the world of education is also increasingly advanced along with technological advances. The purpose of this study is to find out the evaluation of the products that have been produced by researchers and the benefits of this research are so that researchers can find out what needs to be improved from the multimedia they have produced. This research is an R&D model multimedia development research at SMP 23 Pekanbaru for the implementation of this multimedia. Data collection was taken from a field survey conducted. From the results of the survey data it is known that interactive multimedia on environmental pollution material is very effective and very good to use. So it can be concluded that this interactive multimedia can be used in the learning process in environmental pollution material for grade 7 junior high school students Abstrak. Seiring kemajuan teknologi dan informasi yang begitu pesat, teknologi telah mendorong perkembangan dalam dunia pendidikan. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari digunakannya beragam   media   pembelajaran dan   juga   alat -alat   yang   digunakan dalam   proses pembelajaran semakin maju dan canggih dunia pendidikan pun semakin maju seiring kemajuan teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penilaian dari produk yang telah dihasilkan oleh peneliti dan manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah agar peneliti dapat mengetahui apa saja yang perlu diperbaiki dari multimedia yang telah dihasilkannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan multimedia model R&D pada SMP 23 Pekanbaru untuk implementasi multimedia ini. Pengambilan data diambil dari survey lapangan yang dilakukan. Dari hasil data survey diketahui bahwa multimedia interaktif pada materi pencemaran lingkungan sangat efektif dan sangat bagus digunakan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif ini dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk siswa SMP kelas 7

Abstract

Seperti halnya daerah Riau, dengan kearifan lokalnya memiliki makanan khas yaitu Bolu Kemojo. Bolu kemojo merupakan salah satu jenis kue tradisional daerah Riau yang sebelumnya kurang dikenal orang karena pada zaman dahulu bolu kemojo ini hanya dapat dinikmati pada acara-acara tertentu, seperti upacara adat atau pernikahan. Dalam masa sekarang, pmbelajaran IPA di sekolah masih kurang memperhatikan perkembangan masyarakat budaya setempat Pembelajaran IPA di kelas hendaknya menuntun siswa untuk melek tentang ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan kearifan lokal pada daerah di sekolah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisa deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan cara memberikan gambaran secara rinci mengenai objek wisata lokasi penelitian dengan mengacu pada hasil literasi referensi yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan topik kajian dan observasi langsung pada lokasi penelitian berikut lengkap dengan analisis SWOT sebagai bentuk strategi perencanaan pengembangan wilayah.
