Abstract

Coconut plantations (Cocos nucifera) are one of the leading commodities of estate crops in Pinrang and these plants are more numerous than other plants in community plantations. However, the role of coconut as a raw material for cooking oil, is currently sinking and displaced by the presence of palm oil commodities. Utilization of by-products has not been done much by farmers, so the added value of farming has not been obtained optimally. Even though many processed products from coconut have the potential to provide high added value, as well as in creating jobs. Lately, virgin coconut oil has also developed, namely VCO (Virgin coconut oil) which is a food supplement and also a medicine. Farmer groups in Pinrang district are one of the farmer groups that have problems with coconut income, namely the use of coconuts has not been maximized and its storage capacity is relatively short. To overcome this problem, the community service team from Makassar State University and the coconut farmers group in Pinrang district discussed the process of managing coconut. The target is expected to be achieved after the implementation of whether community service activities through the coconut oil into VCO program will be able to produce VCO with better quantity and quality, so that the maximum results can expand its business by diversifying coconut products into VCO for health. This research was conducted through two stages, namely the provision of material about VCO and its use, and guidance in making VCO. Based on the results obtained, most people understand the VCO material delivered and are able to make the VCO.

Abstract

Abstrak. Mitra Program Kemitraan (PKM) ini adalah Guru-guru SMAN 2 Takalar. Masalah mitra adalah 1) kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menyusun RPP berbasis STEAM, 2) sangat terbatas dalam implementasi model pembelajaran yang menstimulasi kemampuan literasi dasar siswa. Metode PKM yang diterapkan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam bentuk ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan mitra tentang penyusunan RPP berbasis STEAM. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan penetapan indikator-indikator pencapaian kompetensi atau materi yang dirancang dan pemilihan model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Pendekatan STEAM yang sesuai untuk jenjang SMA dengan kemandirian masing-masing matapelajaran adalah embedded  Hasil PKM secara umum direspon “sangat baik” oleh 20 peserta dari hasil jajak persepsi melalui angket. Mereka berharap kegiatan-kegiatan sejenis ini berkelanjutan untuk lebih meningkatkan profesionalisme guru-guru. Kegiatan pelatihan ini menghasilkan guru-guru yang mengerti dan memahami cara menyusun RPP berbasis STEAM yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh lembaga pendidikan khususnya para guru di SMAN 2 Takalar Kabupaten Takalar. Kata Kunci: Literasi, Pendekatan, RPP, STEAM, embedded.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan dari Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi pemasaran dan pengemasan yang baik kepada masyarakat. Mitra dari PKM ini adalah masyarakat di Kec. Parangloe Kab. Gowa khususnya yang berprofesi sebagai Petani atau pelaku UMKM yang mengolah produk pertanian. Beberapa masalah yang menjadi landasan diadakannya program ini adalah yang: (1) masyarakat masih melakukan proses pemasaran ptoduk pertanian secara konvensional, yaitu menjual produk pertaniannya kepada distributor dengan harga rendah (2) Produk olahan hasil pertanian dikemas dengan menggunakan plastik yang direkatkan dengan proses pembakaran pada ujungnya, (3) belum memaksimalkan penggunaan media sosial secara maksimal untuk melakukan pemasaran hasil pertanian maupun produk pangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah: ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang dicapai adalah (1) mitra memiliki pengetahuan melakukan pemasaran yang efektif dan efisien sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan para petani, (2) mitra memiliki keterampilan dalam mengemas produk yang ramah lingkungan dan baik untuk Kesehatan secara tradisional maupun modern. (3) mitra menggunakan media sosial dalam memasarkan produk pertanian dan olahan hasil pertanian agar kualitasnya tetap terjaga. Kata kunci: kemasan, pemasaran, produk, pertanian

Abstract

One of the learning models that is in line with the transition of the curriculum from teacher-centered to student-centered, namely the flipped classroom model. This study aims to determine the effect of the flipped classroom model with mind mapping media on student learning outcomes in the chemistry learning assessment subject. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with a control-group post test only design. The research sample is chemistry education students in the fifth semester. A total of 33 students in the experimental class and 33 students in the control class. The experimental class uses the flipped classroom model with Mind mapping media. The control class uses a direct learning model with the discussion method. The instrument used is in the form of essay questions on the Mid Semester Examination and the Final Semester Examination. The data obtained were analyzed by Independent sample t-test using Microsoft Excel. The results obtained are t-stat > t-critical (t-stat = 4.29, t-critical = 1.67). The results of the analysis show that students who go through the learning process using the flipped classroom model with Mind mapping media have higher learning outcomes compared to students who use the direct learning model with the discussion method.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental aim is to examine the effect of implementing the M-PBL strategy on the metacognitive and problem-solving skills of Chemistry Education students. The number of research samples was 35 and 33 students for the experimental and control classes were selected randomly. The experiment class uses the M-PBL strategy. In contrast, the control class usages a verification strategy for Chemical Equilibrium, Advance Basic Chemistry courses in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Two instruments used are, 1) 12 items of Objective test on Chemical Equilibrium (CE) to measure students' problem-solving skills. 2) 12 Essay Test items to measure metacognitive knowledge. Assessment of metacognitive Knowledge adapts Rompayom's rubric. Implementing the M-PBL Strategy affected students' declarative, procedural, and conditional knowledge. The MPBL strategy had a better effect than conventional strategies on students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify student learning difficulties in physical chemistry lectures. The subjects are 61 students in the chemistry education study program from two different classes. The research method used is mixed. Data were obtained by using instruments in the form of structured and unstructured questionnaires. Based on the results of the data analysis, several student learning difficulties were identified. Based on unstructured questionnaires, students' learning difficulties in physical chemistry material based on internal factors are caused because students find it difficult to do calculation problems, formulate derivation, and use many formulas. Based on external factors, namely the learning method used. Students prefer learning that is carried out face-to-face in a class by doing a lot of practice questions connected with applying formulas to questions and in everyday life. 55.7% of students in the medium category in learning disorder, 72% of students in the high category in learning disability, 65.5% of students in the medium category in learning dysfunction, 57% of students in the medium category in slowly learner, and 54% of students in the medium category in lower achiever. According to many students, physical chemistry is difficult. In addition, some of the causes of physical chemistry being considered difficult are confusion in analyzing questions, and learning conducted online during the Covid-19 pandemic is considered less effective. Students expect the learning method used to provide many examples and practice questions.

Abstract

Abstrak. Book creator merupakan salah satu aplikasi online yang dapat digunakan untuk Menyusun media pembelajaran bagi pendidik. selain itu aplikasi ini juga dapat digunakan untuk Menyusun e-book atau modul pembelajaran interaktif. Ada berbagai fitur pada aplikasi ini yang menjadikan media atau bahan ajar memiliki tampilan dan penggunaan yang lebih menarik diantaranya yaitu dapat disinkronkan secara langsung dengan Canva, dapat menampilkan video online maupun offline, menyajikan rekaman suara, menghubungkan dengan dokumen dalam berbagai format, dan sebagainya. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru atau calon guru dalam Menyusun media dan bahan ajar interaktif yang inovatif. Peserta dalam pelatihan ini adalah mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan 2022 Gelombang 2. Pelatihan dilaksakan dengan serangkaian metode yaitu ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan praktek. Kegiatan diawali dengan memperkenalkan aplikasi book creator kepada peserta, cara membuat akun, hingga memperkenalkan beberapa fitur dan cara penggunaannya saat Menyusun media atau bahan ajar hingga cara membagikan link media yang sudah jadi. Peserta antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan karena peserta baru pertama kali menggunakan aplikasi online tersebut. Peserta juga menilai bahwa aplikasi ini mudah untuk digunakan dan memiliki berbagai fitur menarik di dalamnya.Kata Kunci: Book Creator, Media Pembelajaran, Interaktif

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memurnikan bromelain dari bonggol nanas (Ananas comosus). Proses pemurnian bromelain dimulai dengan pengendapan bertingkat menggunakan amonium sulfat, diikuti dengan proses dialisis. Tahap pemurnian dilanjutkan dengan metode kromatografi kolom penukar ion DEAE-Sepharosa. Fraksi bromelain yang diperoleh dari tiap tahapan pemurnian menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas spesifik. Aktivitas spesifik tertinggi ekstrak bromelain kasar hasil fraksinasi dengan amonium sulfat terdapat pada tingkat kejenuhan 20-50% (fraksi 2) sebesar 260,042 U/mg dengan tingkat kemurnian 2,548 kali ekstrak enzim kasarnya. Proses dialisis meningkatkan aktivitas spesifik menjadi 381,287 U/mg dengan tingkat kemurnian 3,737 kali ekstrak enzim kasarnya. Pemurnian lanjutan dengan kromatografi kolom penukar ion Dietilaminoetil-Sepharosa (DEAE-Sepharosa) menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas spesifik dan tingkat kemurnian menjadi 500 U/mg dengan tingkat kemurnian 4,901 kali ekstrak enzim kasarnya.Kata Kunci: bonggol nanas, bromelain, pemurnian, kromatografi ABSTRACTThe research objective was to purify bromelain from pineapple core extract (Ananas comosus) through fractionation using ammonium sulfate followed by dialysis. The purification step was continued with the DEAE-Sepharosa ion exchange column chromatography method. The fraction of bromelain obtained from each purification step showed an increase in specific activity compared to crude extract.  Fractionation of crude enzyme bromelain with ammonium sulfate produces highest specific activity on ammonium sulfate 20-50% fraction (fraction 2) 260.042 U/mg with purify level 2.548 fold compared to crude extract. After dialysis, the bromelain fraction showed an increase in specific activity (381.287 U/mg) with purify level 3.737 fold compared to crude extract. The bromelain fraction after purification by using ion exchange column chromatography DEAE-sepharose showed an increase in specific activity become 500 U/mg with purify level 4.901 fold compared to crude extract.Keywords: pineapple core, bromelain, purification, chromatograph

Abstract

This study investigates students’ performance in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Test, especially in science subjects, after implementing the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition) learning model. The research subjects are ICP (International Class Program), totaling 16 students at SMP IT Albiruni Mandiri Makassar. The implementation of the AIR model is carried out since students are in stage 8 and continue to stage 9. The type of test for stages 7 and 8 is the Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Test. The stage 9 test type is the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint. The test results are described in the form of grades, namely Bronze, Silver, and Gold. At stage 7, the percentage of students who received Bronze was 68.75%, Silver 31.25%, and Gold 0.00%. There was a significant increase in stage 8, with 37.50% who got Bronze, 18.75% got Silver, and 43.75% got Gold. Then at stage 9, there was an increase of 68.75% of students who got Gold, 12.50% got Silver, and 18.75% got Bronze

Abstract

Validity and practicality are important elements in an e-book because it shows the accuracy and feasibility of the teaching material before it is used. This study aimed to determine the validity and practicality of teaching materials in interactive e-books based on SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) on thermochemical materials. The validity and practicality of the e-book are essential to study as the teaching materials developed are suitable for use in the learning process. This interactive e-book was developed through several stages using the DDE model development by Richey, Klein, and Nelson combined with 4STMD (Four Steps Teaching Material Development). Two validations were carried out, namely content validation and media validation. Both validations are in the very valid category. The practical aspect was obtained from a limited trial on teachers and students in a private school in Makassar. The test results on the teacher are in a good category, and the test results on the students are in the good category. The validity and practicality of the e-book show that this teaching material is feasible to use.
