Abstract

This paper presents a Satisfaction Information Systems of Academic Administration Services which is a tool to provide quality assessment of Academic Administration Services of Engineering Faculty, Mataram University. The quality assessment is determined by Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method of survey data. This information system is designed and built by using CodeIgniter framework with PHP and HTML. The experimental results show that the proposed system has been running properly, which are indicated by a “fairly satisfied” achievement of Academic Administration Services of Engineering Faculty, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Informatics Engineering Dept. Based on MOS parameter on students (MOS = 4.45) and admin (MOS = 4.00), show that the system has been running properly.

Abstract

Color blindness is one of eye diseases that attack the eye's conical cells and making it difficult to see several colors. One way to detect color blindness in a person is using the Ishihara Test, in this test using the figure images that have any colors that can outwit the color blind. By using numbers in the Ishihara test can’t yet include some groups who can’t read the numbers, so that a new drawing is made of 2D shape that will be combined with an expert system in order to provide an initial diagnosis according to the expert. Expert systems lately can be developed on many devices, the most commonly used is a mobile application with the most popular Android operating system. In this research, there are several tests on the subject of partial color blindness and subject with a normal eye, with the result of Ishihara’s Test can reach 100% System with time limit only 15 seconds. Therefore this system has the fit of workflow and conclusion with Ishihara Test.

Abstract

Ruminant animals was a group of mammals that chew the cud or eat the food there was swallowed. In Sumbawa district, there was 10 ruminant livestock diseases that are often infected by anthrax, brucellosis, snoring or septichaemia epizootica (SE), mucus or bovine epheral fever (BEF), surra worm or thelazia, scabies and abdominal bloating. One of the obstacles in order to increase the productivity of livestock was the existence of various diseases there was any effect on the life of livestock. This system aimed to make it easier for farmers to obtained information about diseases in their animals System tested methods used to test this system was black box testing, system accuracy tested with expert, questionnaire and precision and recall accuracy tested, black box test results show all existing functions was running well. testing between the system with the expert obtained an accuracy of 93% ,. Testing questionnaire got result of conformity assessment system to user requirement or breeder with answer agreed equal to 62.68%. The testing of precision and recall obtained the result of precision testing of 95.5% and recall of 8.3%, So it can be concluded that this system was in accordance with the needs of users. Abstract

Informatics Engineering Department (PSTI) is one of the study program in University of Mataram which was established in 2012. PSTI has Academic Information System (AIS) which is used for supporting academic operational activities. However, AIS has not been able to provide any information or special report for chairman and secretary of PSTI. According to the interview with the chairman of PSTI, PSTI’s information needs are not only consisted of accreditation information but also non accreditation information. The needs for accreditation information that is apllied referring to the 3,4, and 5 standard in National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Book VI. The aim of this system is to help PSTI in providing such information so that the chairman and the secretary can identify the problem of PSTI fastly and accurately. The system is built with Laravel Framework as PHP and JavaScript as its language, and it uses Application Programing Interface (API) in order to integrate it with SIA. Moreover, it uses also data warehouse as an integrated storage. This system was developed using waterfall development method. When the system was tasted using black box method, all the function ran well, and the accuration testing showed that this system has resulted an output that corespond with the calculations performed manually. Therefore, it can be concluded that this system is ready to be used.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is an identification technique of emotion expressed in texts. Thesentiment analysis goal is to determine a negative or positive opinion within a sentenceor a document. Twitter is one of social medias to convey an opinion. The twitter allowsits users to write opinions related to a specific topic in a tweet. The twitter data used inthis research was downloaded using the twitter Application Programming Interface (API).It consisted 500 tweets about Lombok tourism that contained #lombok and#woderfullombok hashtags. The features extracted from the twitter data were selectedusing the Mutual Information (MI) method then they were analyzed using the NaïveBayes Classifier (NBC) model. The evaluation of sentiment analysis on the Lomboktourism twitter data in a 10-folds cross validation resulted 97.9% accuracy.Key words : Sentiment Analysis, Twitter, Naïve Bayes Classifier, Mutual Information.

Abstract

To diagnose asthma attack we use Weighted Product and TOPSIS method to analyze the data. The lack of Weighted Product for the expert system is there are no cost and benefit for the criteria. We use combined it with TOPSIS to determining an alternative preference based on the ideal positive and ideal negative solution. WP methods have advantages where it has an initial weight which is TOPSIS don’t have. Combining the two methods aims to determine the effectiveness of the method. We use 40 data test on two different experts and compare it with our proposed method in this research. The result shows that, for the first expert, we gain accuracy for Weighted Product, TOPSIS and combined of WP and TOPSIS are 12,5%, 12,5%, and 60% respectively and for the second expert, we gain 30%, 30%, and 70%. Its show that the combined methods are better used compared to the WP and TOPSIS methods.

Abstract

License plates are a unique feature to identify a vehicle in the combination between letters and numbers. Feature extraction needed to identify each letter and number in a digital image. There are several methods in feature extraction, one of them uses a gradient feature extraction. In this research, an application program to identify the license plate is a character gradient method and backpropagation neural network (BNN). First, the digital image is cropped to get a license plate then segmented to generate each character. The next step is the extraction feature using Character gradient to get a particular feature from each character. Backpropagation neural networks are used as data classification. This research consist of two types of testing: performance analysis based on hidden layers and feature quantity in training datasets and license plate data. From the result, we can conclude that the quantity of features affects the system performance. The highest performance rate in the first scenario test is feature 48 with 60 hidden layers, and in the second scenario, the highest is feature 108 with 60 hidden layers. The lowest performance rate is shown in feature 12 with 20 hidden layers. Keywords: License plate, character gradient method, backpropagation neural network, feature, hidden layer.

Abstract

As the fact, that is Bima script did not familiar to bimanese, Bima script as a cultural heritage needs to be preserved. Pattern recognition has been used to recognize several of ancient script. Gray Level Co-occurence Matrix (GLCM) as features exctraction and K Nearest Neighbour (KNN) as a classifier show the good performance to recognize of an ancient script. so, in this research we use GLCM and KNN to recognize Bima script. we use 2640 images of handwritting bima Script that is collected from 10 volunter. Each volunter write 22 of Bima script twelve times each script. The experimental result show that the performance of our model is good enough, with 60.86% of accuracy that is obtained by manhattan distances.

Abstract

Architecture is part of the art of life and works best when it seems to give expression to the life that inhabits it. As technology has developed a lot, the field of architecture has also experienced many developments supported by technology such as making architectural designs. The development experienced in making architectural designs is that it is no longer required to draw design choices with side views on a lot of paper but instead use a simulation application for making architectural designs that are displayed through a monitor layer in 3D so that they can see more realistically. After many innovations emerged regarding simulation applications which generally still use hardware such as a mouse, then these innovations shifted to connecting the simulation application with the virtual world where hardware such as a mouse has been replaced by using gestures or limb movements such as parts of the hand or other parts of the body. While other fields like medic already use virtual tool interaction, architecture fields still just use mouse and keyboard. One of the virtual interaction devices used to be able to detect fingers and palms to interact with 3D simulation applications is Leap Motion. Leap Motion is starting to be widely used to carry out various ways of interacting with hands because it is more interactive and interesting to use even many people think that it can be used for hand rehabilitation or therapy too. However, even though many innovations have developed, there is still no innovation in the use of a hand gesture command system using Leap Motion for simulation applications to design architectural designs in 3D views. Based on these things, the authors designed and developed hand gesture commands using Leap Motion for Architectural Design App. The hand gesture command system used for the Floorplanner simulation application will be tested using a system usability scale by users with architectural, informatics, and unfamiliar backgrounds. Based on the tests carried out, it can be seen that the system is running properly even though it requires getting used to the device first and getting a score from the System Usability Scale of 59,167 out of scale from 0 to 100 which means it is still accepted by users or declared as "Marginally Acceptable" category.

Abstract

User requirement analysis merupakan satu hal yang penting dilakukan dalam pembuatan sebuah user interface/user experience (UI/UX) menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Hal ini dikarenakan pada tahapan ini terdapat identifikasi dan dokumentasi kebutuhan pengguna. NTB mall adalah e-commerce pertama milik pemerintah daerah NTB dengan tujuan menjual produk unggulan daerah dari Usaha Mikro, Kecil Menengah (UMKM), Pedagang Kaki Lima (PKL) dan dibantu dengan pemantauan oleh Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis). Dalam pembuatan UI/UX NTBMall, diperlukan user requirement analysis yang kuat untuk mendapatkan penggunaan NTBMall yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. User requirement analysis dibagi menjadi beberapa tahapan secara berurutan. Penggunaan user requirement analysis telah terbukti menghasilkan UI/UX yang menarik, dibuktikan dengan hasil pengujian SUS bernilai 72.82 yang mengartikan bahwa user telah puas dengan aplikasi NTBMall.
