Abstract

PT. Metode registrasi yang digunakan yaitu metode occupation and backsight dan metode cloud to cloud.

Abstract

Abstract

PT. Berau Coal is one of the mining companies in Indonesia that focuses on coal mining and sales. This research was carried out on the haul road at Site Gurimbang Mine Operation, where the condition of the haul road is currently undulating and located above a swamp area. This condition reduces the speed of HD 785, resulting in the unit's productivity not achieving the company's target. The effort to improve the condition of the haul road is by using geotextile as a method of strengthening the haul road. The aim of this research is to determine the changes in soil density and soil bearing capacity after the geotextile reinforcement and to identify its impact on HD 785 productivity. The research was conducted by analyzing and processing data from the results of the DCP in-situ test to determine the soil density and soil bearing capacity in the initial and post-geotextile installation conditions. Actual field data collection in the form of HD 785 cycle time and speed data was used to evaluate the unit's productivity before and after geotextile installation. The results indicated that the utilizing geotextile can increase the soil density and soil bearing capacity to meet the CBR standards and soil bearing capacity for HD 785 units. The use of geotextile also increased the speed of HD 785 by 3 km/hour, both during load and empty travel, resulting in an increase in HD 785 productivity by 26% from the initial 43,821.63 bcm/month to 55,375.62 bcm/month.

Abstract

The field experiment of applying the air deck method to the limestone blasting activities of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero), aims to reduce the impact of ground vibration considering that mining activities are approaching residential areas. In addition, the size of the fragmentation of the blasting results is very important for the effectiveness of the crushing plant. To determine the effectiveness of the application of the air deck method in limestone mining (quarry), blasting planning activities are carried out by dividing the two blasting locations, namely blasting with the air deck method and without using an air deck. By using a zig-zag blasting pattern and the number of holes of 50 Lb, the depth of the drill holes is 9 meters (without air deck) and 13 meters and the type of explosive used is Nonel. From the results of the analysis of limestone blasting with data processing using the split desktop 2.0 demo application, the ground vibration value (micromater system) was obtained. The average value of ground vibration (pVS) shows a smaller value using the air deck method of 0.68 mm/sec while without air deck of 0.74 mm/sec. The results of limestone fragmentation analysis with the air deck method obtained size <75cm reached 91.93%, while for without air deck it was 80.27%. These results show that the air deck method can be applied as a method to assist the Company in reducing ground vibration and limestone fragmentation effectively and efficiently by considering natural factors including geographical factors.

Abstract

Coal is a fossil fuel that is still used as fuel for Steam Power Plants (PLTU). The greater the demand for electrical energy, the greater the need for coal to meet the fuel needs of the PLTU. The combustion of PLTU produces combustion residue in the form of fly ash and solid ash. Fly ash has its own problem level compared to solid ash. The issue of air pollution, sources of disease and radioactive pollutants are the negative impacts of fly ash left over from burning coal. Coal ash is formed from compounds that do not burn in the coal combustion process including the presence of rare earth metals (LTJ). LTJ is a valuable element which in certain levels can be processed into valuable goods. Separation of LTJ in coal can reduce the ash content and improve the quality of coal, so it is necessary to know the potential of LTJ contained in coal ash. The coal sample tested was coal from PT Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim Mining Unit. Identification of LTJ elements in the ash at the PLTU using XRD, ICP and SEM analysis. There is element Cerium (Ce) 55.3 ppm in fly ash and 22.6 ppm in bottom ash, element yttrium (Y) 36 ppm in fly ash and 10.7 ppm in bottom ash, element Lanthanum (La) 27.3 ppm on fly ash and 10.5 ppm on bottom ash. Neodymium (Nd) 26.1 ppm in fly ash and 6.9 ppm in bottom ash. Finally, there is an element of Samarium (Sm) 1.4 ppm in fly ash and 0.7 ppm in bottom ash. There is a promising potential for rare earths in coal ash, but for levels below 500 ppm it is still not feasible to manage, so it is necessary to enrich the rare earths first.
