Abstract

Abstract

Nowadays, water faucets play an important role in controlling water flow. Besides that, faucets are generally moved manually by every human activity by turning or moving the faucet up or down. This manual faucet system has weaknesses, namely water wastage and easily damaged faucets. The use of automatic faucets in public facilities can minimize waste their use because generally people often forget to close the faucet again. Besides, using Arduino-based automatic water faucets can reduce the transmission of Covid 19 for the community, especially during the current pandemic. This activity aims to design Arduino-based automatic water faucets at public facilities to reduce the spread and transmission of COVID-19, especially in the Girimekar Village area, Bandung Regency. The target of this activity is youth and cadets in the area. The implementation of the Arduino-Based Automatic Water Faucet design in training resulted in a prototype unit of Arduino-based automatic water faucet using the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 as detection and use of an electric solenoid valve as a form of direct water control.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Op-Amp trainer in the learning of electronic control systems on the learning outcomes of students in the cognitive and psychomotor domains. The research was conducted using a quasi-experiment method and a sample of 32 students from the experimental and control classes. Data analysis was conducted using hypothesis testing and N-Gain. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students in both the cognitive and psychomotor domains are good and there was a significant difference in learning outcomes with the experimental class higher. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of Op-Amp trainer in the learning of electronic control systems is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor domains when compared to simulation-based learning media.

Abstract

In Giri Mekar Village, the challenge of public street lighting has become a critical issue affecting the daily lives of its residents. Identifying the need for a sustainable solution, an initiative was launched to introduce automatic lighting technology based on solar cells. Through specially designed socialization and training activities, the youth and members of Karang Taruna were engaged to understand, operate, and maintain this lighting system. The training methodology included theoretical sessions on solar cells, equipment demonstrations, and hands-on installation sessions. As a result of these activities, participants demonstrated significant skill enhancement and understanding, as well as a commitment to implementing and maintaining this technology in their village. The overall initiative not only offered an efficient lighting solution but also promoted the concept of community empowerment in village infrastructure development.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of tasks in industrial environments requiring higher efficiency and precision is a major issue for industrial workers. To address these challenges, technology is needed to speed up the production process and improve quality. As part of artificial intelligence systems in industrial environments, robot arms are a solution that can be considered. The development of a robot arm that can be controlled with hand gestures through computer vision technology becomes a feasible solution. 4 Degree of Freedom (DoF) robot arm is chosen as the experimental platform for this research. The research method used in this study is research and development. Utilizing computer vision algorithms to track and detect user hand movements, the user can interact with the robot arm without using additional control devices. Hand object segmentation, feature extraction, and mapping to robot coordinates are parts of the hand gesture recognition process. The results of this research are expected to help develop a responsive and user-friendly robot arm control system. The system was tested under various usage conditions and achieved an average accuracy rate of 93%. With these research findings, it is expected to help industries develop new optimization solutions.

Abstract

Drying clothes is an activity that is generally carried out outdoors using sunlight to speed up the drying of clothes. Some people who do a lot of activities outside the home often leave their clothes hanging all day. Along with the erratic changes in seasons, sudden rain can cause clothes that have been dried in the sun to become wet again due to exposure to rainwater. To overcome this problem, automatic clothes drying system based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology was created using LDR sensors and rain sensors. This system uses the Blynk application so that it can be monitored and controlled directly. Wemos D1 R32 is used as a communication medium between the device and the Blynk application. The results of this research are that the clothesline can enter the room when the LDR sensor detects that it is dark or when it is raining and when the user orders the clothesline to enter via the Blynk application
