Abstract

The Talang Semut area in Palembang has a long history, beginning in 1933 during the Dutch colonial era. Designed by Ir. Thomas Karsten, this area was initially intended as an elite residential neighborhood, following the principles of the Garden City concept that prioritized green spaces, wide main roads, and a non-clustered arrangement of buildings. Although it has undergone significant changes, particularly in terms of function and population density, the area still retains its heritage characteristics, including colonial architecture and a well-structured urban layout. This study aims to identify the changes in the Talang Semut area, focusing on physical, social, and economic aspects, by comparing the conditions of the area in the past and present. The analysis reveals that the major challenges faced by this area include urbanization, changes in building functions, and pressures on green spaces. However, the ongoing development dynamics reflect the area's adaptation to the growing demands of the city, such as the modernization of public facilities, improved accessibility, and the preservation of historical values. This research provides recommendations to pay more attention to cultural heritage preservation, planned urbanization management, and community empowerment in maintaining a balance between modern development and the conservation of Talang Semut's historical heritage.

Abstract

Melihat kondisi tersebut,  kami sebagai tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Indraprasta PGRI telah berdiskusi dengan Ketua Yayasan beserta guru-guru TK RA Persis 106 Jakarta Pusat dan bergerak untuk melakukan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul “Revitalisasi area wudhu TK RA Persis 106 di Jakarta Pusat”.Kata kunci: Taman kanak-kanak, wudhu, islamRA Persis 106 is a kindergarten located in a densely populated residential area in Central Jakarta, where themajority of students are local residents. The institution occupies a land area of 300 m², with a building footprintof 200 m² spread over a single floor, which adequately accommodates approximately 60 Muslim students.Beyond serving as an educational facility, part of the outdoor area specifically the playground and ablution(wudhu) area-is utilized for the ritual slaughtering of sacrificial animals (qurban) during Eid al-Adha. Theablution area not only supports students' religious practices as part of character development but alsofunctions as a site to facilitate the qurban slaughtering activities. Water taps in this ablution area are connectedto hoses, enabling efficient cleaning of animal blood during the sacrificial process. However, the ablution area, covering approximately 3 m², is insufficient to accommodate all Muslim students, who number around 60, inaddition to 10 teachers and 1 janitor. During ablution practice, students are compelled to queue closely, leading to inefficiencies in both the religious ritual and the learning process. In response to these conditions, our community service team from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI engaged in discussions with the foundationchairperson and teachers of TK RA Persis 106 in Central Jakarta. Subsequently, we initiated a communityservice project titled “Revitalization of the Ablution Area at TK RA Persis 106, Central Jakarta.”

Abstract

The tourism awareness movement is an important aspect that must be developed in realising the development of tourism villages in Jatigede sub-district. This can be realised with the support of the local community. Therefore, the PPM programme carried out by the Communication Science Study Programme is to encourage the potential for increasing the village tourism awareness movement in Jatigede sub-district. In addition, according to the concept of tourism management, tourism in the village can also be institutionalised through the existence of Tourism Awareness Groups which will be an important force in managing tourism potential by collaborating with other parties in the village. This Community Service Programme (PPM) has been carried out in the October-November 2023 period with various series of activities. The purpose of this PPM is to create a Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in the Jatigede area in the future. Prodi Ilkom conducted a series of surveys of village potential up to the monitoring and evaluation stage as the final PPM activity. PPM activities run smoothly supported by collaboration with the sub-district and others in the village chosen as the object of PPM Prodi Ilkom. The five villages are Kadujaya village, Cijeungjing village, Jemah village, Karedok village, and Cipicung village. The success indicators of the PPM activities were shown by the enthusiasm of the participants in following the PPM series and the initiation of Tourism Awareness Groups in some of these villages.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the health communication process, using the SIMPATI application, accelerates stunting management in Sumedang, and to identify the barriers to health communication during the use of SIMPATI.  According to presidenri.go.id, Munir (2023) mentioned that a technology-based application called the Integrated Stunting Prevention System (SIMPATI) contributed to stunting management in Sumedang. This phenomenon is unique and warrants study, as it relates to achieving the vision of Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia) 2045: a nation free from stunting. How has Sumedang leveraged Artificial Intelligence (AI). Among many regions in Indonesia, Sumedang is making new breakthroughs through AI to reduce stunting. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the health communication process using SIMPATI application in accelerating stunting management in Sumedang; and to find out health communication barriers during the use of SIMPATI. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, literature review, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the health communication process was carried out by the Sumedang government through optimizing digital media. The existence of AI in the SIMPATI application is seen as a step to accelerate the reduction of the stunting rate in Sumedang.Researchers found that health communication components were optimized in this case. The SIMPATI application was socialized by trained health communicators to convey the message of 'stunting reduction' in Sumedang. The barriers to AI in Sumedang Regency’s health communication include technical, personal, language, and cultural barriers
