Abstract

The drink of freshly ground sugarcane from sugarcane stalks has a distinctive aoram, is cloudy in color and is sold without special packaging and is sold on the side of the road where the sanitation is very low so that its bacteriological quality is doubtful. Esherichia coli (e.coli) is a bacteria that can contaminate sugarcane juice. This research is about education on hygiene, sanitation, processing and examination of Escherichia coli (E.coli) bacteria in water drinks.,The most common drink in West Aceh is sugarcane water, this drink is very easy to find on the side of the road and is liked by every community.The purpose of this study was to see the effect of education on hygiene and sanitation of sugarcane water treatment and examination of Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria in sugarcane water.The research method used quasi-experimental and observational methods. The population in this study were sugar cane traders with a total sample of 20 people. The results showed that there was an effect of education on the sanitation hygiene of sugarcane water treatment and levels of Escherichia Coli (E.coli) in sugarcane water.

Abstract

Hypertension is an excessively raised blood pressure condition that can cause serious health complications and increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and sometimes death. The problem with hypertension cases has experienced a significant fluctuation from 2014 as many as 95 cases, increasing in 2015 to 105 cases. The survey results show that hypertension that occurs in the community is caused by family history and does not pay attention to the type of food eaten. Hypertension in the community at the Meureubo Community Health Center, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. This study was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design which was conducted in December 2016 with a sample of 51 people, analyzed using univariate and bivariate, then tested with chi-square. The results showed that there was an effect of genetics and lifestyle on the incidence of hypertension as evidenced by the value of P. value <α = 0.05. For the PUSKESMAS to increase motivation in the community by suggesting consuming healthy foods, exercising regularly, to achieve the expected healthy life.

Abstract

Children's health and growth are issues that need continuous attention by various parties, such as the government and family. As a result of malnutrition status in infancy can cause growth retardation, causing toddlers to be lazy to do activities related to energy production, disruption of the toddler's immune system so they are susceptible to infectious diseases, inhibited optimal brain growth, and changes in behavior exhibited by toddlers such as not calm, easy crying and its ongoing impact is apathetic behavior. Based on the preliminary survey in the Meurebo Sub-District, West Aceh Regency, there were 4 toddlers suffering from malnutrition and 11 people with underweight nutritional status. The aims of study was to look at the socio-economic relationship with nutritional status of toddlers. This study uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach using a chi-square test with a standard error of 0.05. The population of this study were 46 peoples with those taken based on sample distribution. The results obtained by the value of sig = 0.007 which means smaller than the value of α = 0.05, so it can be concluded a significant relationship between socio-economic and nutritional status of toddler

Abstract

The aim of this program is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about the definition of blood pressure, hypertension, risk factors for hypertension, symptoms, impact and ways to prevent and treat hypertension. This activity is important to carry out because the distance between the village and the Public health center (Puskesmas) is about 5 km and the initial survey showed that more elderly people did not know about hypertension. Elderly (age ≥60 years) (18 people) and the volunteers of elderly integrated services post (Posyandu) (6 people) in Alue Keumang village were the targets of community service activities. Implementation on Sunday, 18th of September 2022 from 10.00 to 12.00 WIB at the village hall. The method used in carrying out the activity is lecture and discussion. The results showed that the enthusiasm of the participants to participate in education activity was very good. There was an increase in the participants' knowledge about hypertension, where some participants were able to answer correctly the questions posed by the presenter after the presentation was made compared to when the material was not delivered.
