Abstract

Colorimetry is a quantitative analysis technique for colored samples, which is used to determine composition (concentration). Technological advancements led to the discovery of modern (instrumentation) tools to complete the colorimetric analysis received by UV-VIS spectrophotometers especially in SMA / MA schools. UV-Vis Spectrophotometers are rarely owned because they are expensive. The impact is limited practicum activities in SMA / MA schools even though practical activities are needed to provide proof of a theory. Therefore, alternative laboratory tools are needed to overcome this problem, including a simple digital imaging based colorimetric analysis tool using a scanner. In order for this alternative tool to be known in the school environment, socialization is needed, namely by training and simulation. The training method used to explain the concept of digital imaging-based colorimetric analysis is supported by demonstration examples of determining the content (concentration) of a substance in the sample. This method is used as training in the operation of digital imaging techniques by using a scanner to obtain images from the sample. Simulation method is used to indicate a software application that can be used to change the image of the imaging results into light intensity (I) then convert to light absorption value (absorbance). It can be concluded that the digital imaging technique using a scanner can be used as an alternative tool to replace UV-Vis spectrophotometer in determining the content (concentration) of substances in the sample and as a support for science / Biology / Chemistry learning in schools. The response of the participants who participated in this activity was very good and they were motivated to apply it in school

Abstract

Indonesia and other countries in the world are currently facing a deadly disease outbreak, namely Covid-19. This outbreak is known as the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of victims who died in Indonesia has more than 250 thousand people. Until now, there is still no medicine or vaccine that can cure this disease. Therefore, the number of victims who die every day is still happening. This causes the corona virus that causes Covid-19 to still not disappear from people's lives. The way out to break the chain of transmission of corona virus infection is the 'new normal' adaptation. New Normal "is narrated as" New Habit Adaptation ". The purpose of the New Habit Adaptation is so that we can work, study and have productive activities in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. New habits for healthier living must be continuously carried out in society and in every individual, so that they become social norms and new individual norms in everyday life. The adaptation of this new habit must continue to be socialized in the lives of all of us, one of which is in the education community, namely at SMPN1 Banyuresmi Garut

Abstract

The digital literacy socialization has become an essential aspect of education in the 21st century. Where digital technology plays an increasingly dominant role in everyday life, students need to be equipped with adequate skills to use digital media. These skills are required for better academic achievement and for shaping a generation capable of actively participating in an increasingly digitally interconnected society. The Pancasila student profile emphasizes the importance of building strong character and morals that are relevant to digital literacy. Digital literacy socialization should integrate Pancasila values into the learning process, ensuring that students are not only proficient in technology but also able to use digital media wisely and ethically. In the 21st century, the ability to identify accurate information, avoid the spread of fake news, and engage in healthy online discussions are key skills. Therefore, digital literacy socialization aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required through a relevant curriculum. This research investigates the impact of digital literacy socialization on students' digital media usage skills in line with the Pancasila student profile. The results of the study indicate that digital literacy socialization is effective in enhancing students' digital media usage skills. This creates a generation capable of using digital technology wisely, respecting Pancasila values, and making a positive contribution to an increasingly digitally interconnected society.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme is a complex liquid produced through the fermentation of organic waste such as fruit and vegetable peels, commonly prepared using a 1:3:10 ratio of sugar, organic waste, and water. Due to its various practical benefits in daily life, public awareness and understanding of eco-enzyme production need to be improved through community service activities. This community engagement program aimed to enhance community knowledge and skills in converting organic household waste into eco-enzyme. The program involved preparation, educational sessions, concept introduction, workshops, and hands-on practice, supported by PowerPoint presentations and videos. Participants consisted of 30 residents of Parakan Village, Samarang District, Garut Regency, including household heads, housewives, and village youth. Participant responses were collected through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The activity was successfully implemented, as reflected by participants’ enthusiasm and overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding its usefulness and applicability at home. Ekoenzim merupakan larutan kompleks yang dihasilkan dari fermentasi limbah organik, seperti kulit buah dan sayur. Larutan ini dibuat dari campuran gula, kulit buah/sayur, dan air dengan perbandingan umum 1:3:10. Ekoenzim memiliki berbagai manfaat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga perlu disosialisasikan kepada masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah sampah organik menjadi ekoenzim. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, edukasi dan pengenalan konsep, workshop, serta praktik langsung pembuatan ekoenzim. Penyampaian materi dilakukan menggunakan media PowerPoint dan video. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri atas kepala keluarga, ibu rumah tangga, dan pemuda Desa Parakan, Kecamatan Samarang, Kabupaten Garut. Respon peserta diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Kegiatan PKM berjalan dengan baik dan lancar, ditunjukkan oleh antusiasme peserta serta hasil kuesioner yang menunjukkan respon positif sebesar 100%.

Abstract

Jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis L.) is a legume with considerable potential as an alternative food source due to its high protein and carbohydrate content and its ability to improve soil fertility. However, its cultivation remains limited, particularly on marginal lands such as saline soils that are increasingly expanding due to seawater intrusion and improper irrigation. Soil salinity inhibits plant growth by causing osmotic and ionic stress while triggering proline accumulation as a physiological adaptation. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of salinity stress (NaCl) on the morphological growth and proline content of jack bean plants. The experiment was conducted in Singkup Village, Pasirwangi District, Garut, from April 26 to June 10, 2025, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five NaCl concentrations (0, 1500, 2500, 3500, and 5000 ppm) and five replications. Observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, root length, fresh weight, and proline content. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that NaCl significantly affected all growth parameters. Growth inhibition was most pronounced at 5000 ppm, whereas optimal growth occurred at 0 ppm. Conversely, proline content increased with higher NaCl concentrations, indicating the plant’s adaptive response to salinity stress. Overall, jack bean growth declined significantly at NaCl levels above 2500 ppm, accompanied by increased proline accumulation. These findings provide insights for developing legume cultivation strategies on saline soils

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mempelajari hasil tes pilihan ganda dan digunakan untuk gaya belajar visual adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa diberikan metode pembelajaran ekspositori pada Pembelajaran Tinggi siswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran konvensional. (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar visual. (3) hasil penelitian dan mahasiswa IPA yang memiliki gaya belajar visual dan metode pembelajaran yang diberikan pembelajaran ekspositori lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa yang diberikan pembelajaran metode pembelajaran konvensional. (4) hasil penelitian dan mahasiswa IPA yang memiliki gaya belajar visual rendah dan metode pembelajaran yang diberikan pembelajaran ekspositori lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang diberikan metode pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil identifikasi miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa dengan menggunakan teknik CRI (Certainty of Response Index), persentase siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi, submateri yang paling banyak mengalami miskonsepsi serta penyebab siswa mengalami miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran sangat penting dalam keberlangsungan pembelajaran terutama materi biologi yang dianggap sebagai pembelajaran yang sulit untuk dipahami karena banyak mengandung konsep dan kata-kata ilmiah yang sulit dipahami. Ketidakpahaman peserta didik mengenai suatu materi dapat menyulitkan peserta didik dalam mengaitkan suatu konsep yang saling berhubungan hal ini yang dapat menyebabkan miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi sampel yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang disertai dengan CRI (Certainty of Response Index) berjumlah 25 butir soal dan angket. Data yang didapat menunjukkan siswa mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 27% dengan kategori rendah atau hanya sebagian siswa. Miskonsepsi tertinggi ada pada subkonsep fertilisasi, yaitu sebesar 35,48% sedangkan miskonsepsi terendah ada pada subkonsep kehamilan, yaitu sebesar 19,35%. Hal tersebut jika dilihat dari hasil angket dikarenakan kurangnya minat belajar siswa dan siswa menginterpretasikan sebuah materi sesuai pemahamannya sendiri.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kepasifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran jugadisebabkan oleh pemilihan media pembelajaran yang tidak tepat sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya hasilbelajar siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tujuan penelitian dirumuskan untuk mengetahuibagaimana pengaruh media pembelajaran flashcard terhadap hasil belajar siswa terhadap materibioteknologi di kelas X SMAN 16 GARUT. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah QuasiExperiment dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent pretest-posttest controlgroup design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 16 GARUT, sedangkansampel adalah kelas X J kelas aplikasi media flashcard pada materi bioteknologi dan kelas X L yangmenerapkan media gambar hitam putih pada materi bioteknologi sebagai media pembanding. Instrumen yangdiuji adalah tes objektif (pilihan ganda) dengan total 30 pertanyaan. Berdasarkan tes akhir (posttest)menggunakan tes t ( (Tes Sampel Mandiri) hasil belajar siswa diketahui Sig.(2-tailed) adalah 0,002 < 0,05, makaHa diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penggunaan mediaflashcard terhadap hasil belajar materi bioteknologi di kelas X SMAN 16 Garut. Penggunaan flashcard nmediadapat lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari rata-rata skor posttest pada kelas eksperimenmenggunakan media Flashcard yaitu 77,72 dibandingkan rata-rata skor posttest pada kelas kontrolmenggunakan media gambar hitam putih yaitu 55,94.
