Abstract

Fokus studi ini pertama, mendeskripsikan tentang apa maksud menjadi guru KB-TK Katolik. Kedua, apa kekhasan dari guru KB-TK Katolik berdasarkan pengalaman para guru. Ketiga, figur Bunda Maria yang tepat bagi anak-anak KB-TK Katolik dalam pandangan guru KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang. Keempat, perspektif guru KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang mengenai siapa itu Bunda Maria. Kelima, sosok Bunda Maria dalam guru KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang menurut sudut pandang peneliti. Tujuan menggerjakan penelitian ini merupakan suatu ajakan bagi para guru Katolik untuk imitatio spirit pelayanan Bunda Maria sebagai guru dalam dunia pendidikan. Hasil penelitian dikumpulkan langsung dari sekolah KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang Jl. Bandung no. 02 Malang, Jawa Timur. Studi ini berbasis pengalaman umat sebagai guru KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang. Peneliti mengkonfrontasikan riset ini dengan Injil Lukas 2, 41-52 sebagai suatu bentuk kolaborasi dalam memandang Bunda Maria berdasarkan pengalaman empiris para guru KB-TK Katolik Sang Timur Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis melalui wawancara, observasi, pengalaman empirik peneliti sebagai tenaga bina iman, dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analisis atau Analisis Fenomenologi Interpretatif (IPA). Melalui metode IPA penulis menganalisa hasil wawancara dan observasi dengan memberikan komentar eksploratoris, menentukan tema emergen hingga superordinat untuk menemukan hasil yang lebih khusus atau spesifik. Adapun temuan studi ini pertama menjadi guru KB-TK itu seperti orang tua sedang menimang bayinya; kedua telaten dalam melayani anak-anak; ketiga Bunda Maria ibu yang super sibuk; keempat Bunda Maria ibu yang peka; kelima Bunda Maria ibu yang suka kepo.

Abstract

This article attempts to answer the following question: how to elaborate an Indonesian social mariology that is based on the experience of the faithful? In answering this question, this article uses the critical reading method on four main themes, namely: (1) social mariology according to Clodovis M. Boff; (2) Contextual theology according to the FABC (Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences); (3) The methods of contextual theology according to Stephen B. Bevans; (4) Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics. The results of this critical reading have been synthesized in the following 3 subjects: (1) social mariology, (2) social mariology within the context of the FABC’s contextual theology; (3) a plan of Indonesian social mariology based on the experience of the faithful. An authentic contribution of this article is found in number 3: it offers a way to be applied in heeding the context, namely by processing the experience of the faithful. This approach is based on the way of Asian contextual theologizing according to the FABC and Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics. Besides to social mariology, this method can be applied to other themes of contextual theological studies.

Abstract

A number of Catholic students from other cities in Malang are the members of the Legion of Mary. This phenomenon is relevant to be studied because the presence of the Legion of Mary in the Catholic Church and the involvement of young people in it is very important. The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic group. The presence of lay apostles is very important. However, the composition of the Legion of Mary members is dominated by older people. Not many young people become legionaries. There is an impression that the Legion of Mary is not suitable for them. In order to eliminate this impression and in order to formulate the right way to promote the Legion of Mary among the young people, it is necessary to examine their motives to become legionaries. For this purpose, we examine the motives of involvement of a number of Catholic students in Presidium Maria Bunda Perjalanan. The status quaestionis of this study is: what are the motives of the involvement of Catholic students in the Legion of Mary? The method used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data from research subjects were collected using observation techniques and direct interviews. We found that the involvement of the subjects in the Legion of Mary was motivated by three main motives, namely spiritual, social, and self-development motives. Therefore, in order to promote the Legion of Mary among the students, these three motives need to be presented.

Abstract

This study is intended to answer the following status quaestionis: Why did Frank Duff (the founder of the Legion of Mary) reques legionaries to practice marian devotion taught by Montfort, namely consecration to Jesus through Mary? The answer is supposed to motivate the legionaries to live the Montfort consecration. In order to answer the question, we use the  critical analysis method and critical dialectic method on the related data. We find that the aim of the Legion of Mary and the Montfort consecration is the same. Hence, Montfort consecration is a type of marian devotion that can perfectly bering legionaries to the goal of the Legion of Mary, namely the glory of God through the holiness of its members. Abstract

This study discusses decency as an ethic of the Dayak Keninjal human in the village of Laman Bukit. Each tribe in its relationship with others in society must have a rule as social ethics. The social ethics then become a rule or law in common life. The Dayak Keninjal tribe of Laman Bukit village also has a concept of social ethics and rules of living together which is called Kesupant. They or the Dayak Keninjal people in the village of Laman Hill view decency as a liberating law in the ethics of daily interaction. Meanwhile, according to Aristotle, ethics is a moral obligation in living together in order to achieve the bonum commune or the common good. The method used in this study is the method of literature study and interviews with the traditional leader of the Dayak Keninjal tribe. Meanwhile, the methodology used in this study is a reflection of philosophy in Aristotelian ethics as the main scalpel that the author uses. This study found that the Dayak Keninjal people long before they knew civilization already had the concept of daily social ethics known as kesupan. By knowing concepts like these, we can look for local cultural riches that have other philosophical values.

Abstract

One of the dangers to watch out for in midst of the vibrant religious life is the tendency to limit the significance of religion to spiritual life alone and ignore its significance for public life. This study aims to articulate the inspiration that Christian faith can provide for social life. With this inspiration, Christians can avoid the tendency to domesticate God in the private sphere. To achieve this goal, this research uses a qualitative method by conducting a critical reading of related literature. The results of the critical reading are elaborated by following the procedure of contextual theology proposed by Stephen B. Bevans, namely the dialectic between context and Scripture (and Tradition). Through this elaboration, it was found that the nature of society is relation and being in a society means relating. The relationality of a society that knows God is brotherly love that founded on the relationality of Trinitarian God. The essence of the love relationality of the Trinity is the perichoretic relationship of "I" and "you" which forms “us” in the Trinity.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berfokus pada bagaimana media sosial memengaruhi iman dan relasi kaum muda Katolik dengan Gereja. Media sosial di satu sisi menjadi sarana baru bagi kaum muda untuk mengakses informasi rohani, membangun komunitas iman secara daring, serta mengekspresikan identitas religius mereka. Namun, di sisi lain, media sosial juga menghadirkan tantangan berupa distraksi, informasi berlebih, dan gaya hidup instan yang berpotensi melemahkan kedalaman iman serta keterlibatan dalam kehidupan menggereja. Dengan menggunakan metode wawancara terhadap beberapa kaum muda Katolik, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa media sosial memberikan dampak ambivalen: membantu mereka memperkaya iman sekaligus menggiring mereka pada praktik beriman yang lebih dangkal dan terfragmentasi. Oleh karena itu, refleksi kritis terhadap penggunaan media sosial menjadi penting, baik bagi kaum muda itu sendiri maupun bagi Gereja dalam merancang strategi pastoral yang relevan dengan dunia digital
