Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the effectiveness of communication and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in learning science through the Open Ended in SDN 26 Kampung Aur, this type of research is a class act, with the subject of the fourth grade students of SDN 26 Kampung Aur, which has 21 students. Research was conducted in the second semester of the school year of 2015/2016, the research instrument used is the effectiveness of communicating student sheets, sheets of assessment of learning outcomes in the cognitive aspects of students at level C1 (knowledge) and C2 (understanding). Based on the research results, the effectiveness of communicating students on the aspects asked in the first cycle obtain an average value of 49.99% increase in cycle II to 67.45%, the effectiveness of communicating students on aspects of the answer in the first cycle obtain an average value of 53.96% increased in the second cycle to 71.42%. While the results of student learning at the cognitive level C1 (knowledge) in the first cycle increase in cycle II 68.33 into 80.47, cognitive learning outcomes in level C2 (understanding) in the first cycle increase in cycle II 58.09 to 71.42 , It can be concluded that the Open Ended learning model can increase the effectiveness of communication and student learning outcomes in science teaching fourth grade SDN26 Kampung Aur.Keywords: Communicating Effectiveness, Results Learning, Model Open Ended, IPA

Abstract

This research was trigerred by the lack of students’ creativity in solving problems. It has been seen from the lack of students’ curiosity. The students had no desire to find and research, to try finding broad and satisfactory answers, rarely respond to questions raised and rarely give more answers, less enthusiasm in asking questions and examining the questions given by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to describe the creativity and learning outcomes of students in learning Mathematics using the strategy of Creative Problem Solving in class V State Elementary School 10 Koto Baru, Solok District. The type of research was a classroom action research. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final test cycle. The subjects of this study were the students of class V State Elementary School 10 Koto Baru, around 18 people. The research instruments applied were observation sheet of students' creativity, observation sheet of teaching activity, test of student learning result. Based on the result of observation about students’ creativity in cycle I and II, the creativity percentage in cycle I was 51,1% and increase to 70,55% in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of students who achieved mastery learning in the first cycle 50% and increased in cycle II to 72%. This meant that learning Mathematics by using Creative Problem-Solving strategy could improve creativity and learning outcomes of grade V students of State Elementary School 10 Koto Baru. Based on the results of this study, researchers suggested that teachers could use Creative Problem-Solving strategies in learning to improve creativity and students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul daring berbasis open ended learning yang valid dan praktis pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Pada penelitian ini model pengembangan dibatasi menjadi 3-D dengan tahapan yaitu: define, design, dan develop. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validitas dan praktikalitas. Rancangan modul yang telah dirancang divalidasi oleh tiga ahli, sedangkan uji praktikalitas didapat dari respon pendidik dan peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Analisis data validitas menunjukkan bahwa modul daring yang dihasilkan dalam kategori sangat valid dengan persentase kevalidan 90,62%. Pada analisis data praktikalitas, diperoleh bahwa modul daring yang dihasilkan dalam kategori praktis dengan persentase 86,11% oleh pendidik, dan 91,11% oleh peserta didik dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul daring berbasis open ended learning pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dan sangat praktis untuk digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya bagi siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a mathematics learning module based on a scientific approach in grade IV SD Negeri 38 Kuranji that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is the researchs and development. The research model of development used is the 4-D model of development which define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Research instruments include validation sheets, practicality sheets (teacher and student response questionnaires) and effectiveness sheets (pre-test and post- test questions). In the validation process, the module is validated by 1 material expert, 1 design expert and 1 linguist. In the practicality process, the module was tried out by 1 teacher and 23 students. Based on this research, development scientifically based approach to learning mathematics in fourth grade produced modules that meet the criteria for very valid with a percentage of 90.29% votes, meet practical criteria with a percentage of 85.66% and meet the criteria of high effectiveness with percentages of 0, 71. So, it can be concluded that the Mathematics learning module based on the scientific approach in grade IV SD is valid, practical and effective as a resource in learning Mathematics in grade IV SD (Elementary School).

Abstract

This article aims to describe the analysis of the impact of the implementation of the MBKM program on Educators at the Bung Hatta University PGSD FKIP Study Program in producing graduates who are tough to compete in the global era. The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistical techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is done by increasing the persistence and triangulation techniques. The results show that 1) Educators (Tendik) know that most of the policy content comes from the Ministry of Education and Culture's online channels (websites/websites, social media) and others from offline/online socialization activities organized by universities. 2) Tendik did not understand the contents of the policy on MBKM because he answered incorrectly the number of credits and semesters of MBKM implementation. 3) Implementation of the MBKM program on improving hard-skills and soft-skills for students is considered by Tendik to be lacking. 4) Tendik is satisfied with the MBKM program, but there are still many obstacles, such as funding, human resource capabilities and regulations.

Abstract

Peningkatan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar menuntut calon guru SD untuk harus menguasai teknologi, pengetahuan konten materi dan kemampuan pedagogi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) terhadap kemampuan menyusun perangkat pembelajaran matematika daring calon guru SD. Sampel pada penelitian merupakan mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Bung Hatta yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah pembelajaran matematika II pada semester genap tahun 2020/2021. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed method embedded experimental model. Instrumen perlakuan adalah enam buah satuan acara perkuliahan (SAP), angket TPACK yang terdiri dari TK, CK, PK, PCK, TCK, TPK dan rubrik penilaian perangkat pembelajaran matematika. Hubungan antara variabel TPACK dengan kemampuan menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dilihat menggunakan SEM AMOS. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan kemampuan TPACK mahasiswa calon guru SD sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Kemudian diperoleh hasil dari confirmatory factor analysis bahwa kemampuan TPACK sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan menyusun RPP. Dari hasil analisis secara keseluruhan diperoleh hasil bahwa calon guru yang mempunyai kemampuan TPACK yang tinggi akan berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan menyusun perangkat pembelajaran matematika secara daring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa. Media yang dikembangkan berupa AR Book Bangun Ruang yang dapat digunakan dalam Pembelajaran Matematika materi Bangun Ruang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RnD), Model Pengembangan perangkat lunak waterfall. Model ini terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu comunication, planning, modelling, construction dan deployment. AR Book Bangun Ruang sebagai produk dari penelitian ini diujicobakan pada mahasiswa Prodi PGSD yang mengambil mata kuliah Pembelajaran Matematika. Uji coba dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitas produk yang dihasilkan. Data penelitian ini berupa data hasil lembar validitas oleh expert, hasil praktikalitas dari dosen dan mahasiswa dan data hasil belajar pada mata kuliah pembelajaran matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian dan hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan valid, praktis dan efektif. Sehingga media pembelajaran matematika yang dihasilkan akan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Univesitas Bung Hatta.

Abstract

The current reality is that most teachers have not developed their students' Higher Order Thinking (HOTS) skills. This is because the teachers themselves do not understand HOTS well. This research aims to develop HOTS-based mathematics assessment instruments for prospective elementary school teachers. The type and model of research conducted is research and development (R n D), Borg & Gall model. The product developed is a 10-item HOTS question. The questions that have been compiled are validated by three validators. Valid questions were tested on students who took Mathematics Learning courses. The trial was conducted with the aim of determining the quality of the instrument using classical test theory, namely validity, reliability, difficulty index, and distinguishing power. The results showed that the HOTS-based mathematics assessment instrument met the criteria of a quality instrument, namely very valid, high reliability, with good differentiation and difficulty levels. Thus, the instrument developed is suitable to be used to measure the HOTS ability of prospective teacher students. From the results of the test analysis, it was found that the students' ability to solve HOTS-based problems obtained an average of 74.65 was in the moderate category and the results of the analysis of students' critical thinking skills obtained 62.89% also in the moderate category. So it can be concluded that students' ability to solve HOTS-based questions is directly proportional to students' critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that HOTS-based assessment instruments can improve the critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers.

Abstract

The 21st-century competencies have become a primary focus for enhancing human resource capacity in Indonesia. The 21st-century competencies refer to a set of skills necessary for development in the modern era. These competencies include creative thinking, critical thinking and problem solving, communication, and collaboration, collectively known as the 4C skills. The 4C skills of students in Indonesia tend to be low. Based on the observations and interviews conducted by the author with teachers and students in several schools in Padang City, it was found that the majority of students did not achieve mastery in mathematics learning. They struggled to solve the mathematical problems presented to them. This research aims to analyze the relationship between critical and creative thinking skills toward problem-solving abilities of elementary school students in Padang City. This is correlational descriptive research. The study was conducted on fifth-grade students at SD 22 Kampung Dalam Padang. A random sample of 127 students was taken. The instruments used included a questionnaire for critical thinking skills, a questionnaire for creative thinking skills, and an essay test on problem-solving abilities. Data were analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and inferentially.
