Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and academic potential and their interactions toward problem solving and critical thinking skills of high school students. This research is a quasi-experiment that implements two different strategies with pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design by treatment factorial 2x2 which was conducted in the 2018/2019 academic year. Population of this research was class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Mataram, while the research sample was class X students of 2 classes with a purposive sampling technique. Research instruments is test of problem solving skills and test of critical thinking skills. Data analysis was performed with descriptive analysis and to test the hypothesis an anacova test was followed by further test used of Least Significant Difference (LSD). The calculation is aided by the SPSS 14 for Windows program. The results of this research showed that Problem Based Learning affects the problem solving and critical thinking skills. While academic ability (potential) and interaction of learning strategies with academic potential do not affect the problem solving and critical thinking skills of high school students on enviromental topic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Course Review Horay berbantuan media torso biologi dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Mataram. Penilitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIB yang berjumlah 40 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, angket, dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata skor motivasi 73,15 pada siklus I dengan kriteria baik menjadi 75,14 dengan kriteria baik pada siklus II. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, di mana, siklus I mencapai 72,5% dan meningkat menjadi 87,5% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Course Review Horay berbantuan media torso biologi dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Mataram. The Implementation Course Review Horay Learning Model assisted by Torso Biology Media to Improve Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcomes Abstract This study aims to describe the implementation of course review horay learning model assisted by biological torso media in improving motivation and learning outcomes for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIB, totaling 40 students. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet on the implementation of lesson plans, questionnaires, and student learning outcomes tests. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in the average motivation score of 73.15 in the first cycle with good criteria to 75.14 with good criteria in the second cycle. In addition, there was an increase in student learning outcomes, where the first cycle reached 72.5% and increased to 87.5% in the second cycle. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of course review horay model assisted by biological torso media can improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes in seventh grade of SMP Negeri 13 Mataram.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkam limbah peternakan dan perkebunan masyarakat menjadi kompos. Keunggulan dari kompos ini adalah ramah lingkungan, dapat menambah pendapatan peternak dan dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah serta memperbaiki kerusakan fisik tanah akibat penggunaan pupuk anorganik secara berlebihan. Peserta kegitan pelatihan ini adalah masyarakat desa Baturinggit Selelos Kecamatan Gangga Kabupaten Lombok Utara sebanyak 21 orang. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah Model Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) dengan tahapan, (1) Persiapan, (2) Pelaksanaan dan (3) Evaluasi. Pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan memberikan paket teknologi pembuatan pupuk organik padat dengan bahan dasar kotoran sapi dan limbah perkebunan masyarakat. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktek pembuatan pupuk organik padat telah dilaksanakan  di Masyarakat Desa Baturinggit Selelos Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Pehaman dan keterampilan mitra dalam memanfaatkan limbah kotoran ternak dan limbah perkebunan untuk dijadikan kompos meningkat. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil pretest dan posttest  yang mengalami peningkatan mencapai 41.1 %. Kegitan pendampingan masih perlu dialkuakn pendampinagn secara kontinu agar masyarakat mitra dapat mandiri dalam mengelola dan mengolah limbah sekiar untuk dijadikan pupuk organik. Manufacture of Livestock and Plantation Waste Compost Fertilizer for the Village Community of Baturinggit Selelos, North Lombok Regency The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in utilizing livestock and community plantation waste into compost. The advantages of this compost are that it is environmentally friendly, can increase the income of farmers, and can increase soil fertility and repair physical damage to the soil due to excessive use of inorganic fertilizers. The participants of this training activity were the villagers of Baturinggit Selelos, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency, as many as 21 people. The method of implementing this service is the Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) model with stages, (1) Preparation, (2) Implementation, and (3) Evaluation. The implementation of this community service program is by providing a technology package for making solid organic fertilizer with the basic ingredients of cow dung and community plantation waste. Extension activities and practices for making solid organic fertilizers have been carried out in the Baturinggit Selelos Village Community, North Lombok Regency. The understanding and skills of partners in utilizing livestock manure and plantation waste to be used as compost have increased. This is indicated by the results of the pretest and posttest which increased to 41.1%. Mentoring activities still need to be carried out continuously so that partner communities can be independent in managing and processing surrounding waste to be used as organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) play a strategic role in Indonesia's economic growth, but they still face various obstacles, especially in product marketing. This research aims to identify and address the challenges in marketing the products of UMKM, particularly those under the guidance of Baznas Microfinance in the Gunungsari Village, NTB. The main focus of this research is marketing management training as a solution to enhance the marketing capabilities of UMKM. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to collect data through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of related documents. The findings indicate that marketing constraints for UMKM involve a lack of human resources understanding effective marketing concepts. Therefore, the Community Service Team initiates marketing management training as a concrete effort to strengthen the marketing capacity of UMKM. The training aims to improve the understanding of UMKM actors regarding marketing strategies, branding, and the application of technology in product promotion. The results of the training are expected to make a positive contribution to the development of UMKM, enhance product competitiveness, and expand market reach. This article provides a systematic, factual, and accurate overview of the role of marketing management training in empowering UMKM. By publishing this article in Lumbung Inovasi, it is hoped to contribute to a broader understanding of UMKM marketing literacy and inspire relevant parties in the development of similar training activities in various regions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning based on Quiz (PBL-Q) on students' mastery of biology concepts in terms of academic ability. The number of research participants was 62 Biology Education students at Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika. The study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years. The research material was from the plant physiology course. The instrument used to assess concept mastery was an essay test on Plant Physiology consisting of 11 valid and reliable questions. Data were analyzed using the Ancova test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that: a) there were differences in students' mastery of biology concepts based on learning models, students who used the PBL-Q model had better mastery of biology concepts than students who used the PBL model; b) there were differences in students' mastery of biology concepts based on academic ability, students with high academic ability were better than students with low academic ability; c) there were differences in students' mastery of biology concepts based on the interaction between the learning model and students' academic ability. Based on LSD notation, students' mastery of biology concepts is ranked from highest to lowest: PBL-Q students with high academic ability, PBL-Q students with low academic ability, PBL students with high academic ability, and PBL students with low academic ability. The findings of this study indicate that the PBL-Q learning model can help students improve their mastery of biology concepts in terms of academic ability, especially in Plant Physiology material
