Abstract

Recently, religious tourism has attracted the attention of various parties because of the high interest of Muslim tourists. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is one of the provinces that carry religious or halal tourism. It was proven by attaining the halal tourism destination award by the West Nusa Tenggara Islamic Center in 2015. However, the West Nusa Tenggara Islamic Center still lacks development and literacy, especially tourism. Therefore, the motivation of this research is to find alternative strategies that might be used for the development process and increase literacy. By interviewing four respondents, the authors uncovered alternative strategies using SWOT analysis. The five strategies might be beneficial: collaborating with stakeholders, creating new attractions, marketing destinations, improving service quality, and strengthening the destination concept.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the role played by women in the growth of ecotourism in Gili Balu, West Sumbawa Regency, as well as the barriers to that involvement. Method: This study was carried out in the villages of Poto Tano, Senayan, Tambak Sari, and Kiantar in the West Sumbawa Regency of the West Nusa Tenggara Province. The research used a descriptive qualitative methodology, and the primary data were gathered through observation, documentation, and interviews with 32 female respondents. Secondary data were gathered from journals and other research-related sources. Result: According to this study, women in the Gili Balu region played a negligible part in the creation and use of tourist sites. Women's roles are only limited to carrying out tasks like traditional dancers, lodging providers, chefs, souvenir makers, and advertising. The key challenges that the community, particularly women, must overcome are related to family, culture, religion, capital, knowledge, and inadequate government support. Contribution: This study can be used as a resource by a variety of parties interested in examining the role of women in the Gili Balu region to design community development strategies that are necessary.

Abstract

Climate is one of several elements that can impact tourist decisions when deciding where to go on vacation. The climate of a country can influences the desirability of a trip in either a favorable or bad way. However, few studies look at the impact of temperature on tourist decisions, particularly in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the impact of temperature on the arrival of foreign tourists in Indonesia. In the period 2017-2019, the authors used panel data from 168 countries of origin of tourists. To ensure that the research findings were consistent, all models were used, including the Ordinary Least Square, Fixed Effect Model, and Random Effect Model. The findings reveal that the temperature of a tourist's home country has a detrimental impact on their arrival in Indonesia. GDP per capita and the population of the nation of origin have a beneficial effect on foreign tourist arrivals as control factors. Distance, on the other hand, has a detrimental impact.

Abstract

Modifications to energy management models have made them more adaptable and dynamic, with intelligent monitoring and control of energy production, distribution, storage, and consumption. However, the management paradigm has not yet been optimally implemented, given that fossil fuels account for 73% of all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the energy sector. The purpose of this study was to find out the policy of management area in energy transition toward sustainable development. This was normative legal research employing the statutory approach, the fact approach, and the case approach.  The results indicate that a global energy transition will have a positive effect on the future stability and development of economies worldwide. Therefore, the green investment promotion for Renewable energy has acquired prominence in recent years and is now at the forefront of global efforts to reform the energy sector.  In addition, the harmonization of legislation and technical requirements is highlighted as a requirement for achieving this objective.
