Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of food safety on producing good food quality at Taco Casa Canggu in Bali, Indonesia, and what efforts are being made to ensure food safety in preparing good food quality in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. Research methods: A qualitative descriptive method is used to analyze the implementation specifically. Primary data were collected through interviews and observation. The research instruments used were an interview guideline and an observation checklist. Findings: The restaurant management had rearranged the standard operating procedure on food safety according to the Indonesian Minister of Health and the World Health Organization, transforming business from offline to online (O2O) by enhancing home delivery service and digitalizing their service and marketing. Implication: The restaurant management has added strict standard operational procedures on some aspects, such as performing body temperature checks for third parties and costumers and creating a planning meal timeline according to day-by-day service.

Abstract

Pelatihan bahasa Inggris role play ini dilaksanakan di kampus jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Denpasar. Pelatihan bahasa Inggris role play ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris dasar bagi mahasiswa keperawatan. Metode pelatihan Bahasa Inggris ini menggunakan metode roleplay. Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris dengan metode role play ini digunakan agar mahasiswa keperawatan bisa melatih kemampuan bahasa Inggris dalam ilmu medis yang akan digunakan dalam dunia kerja ini.Pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan metode roleplay ini dilaksanakan berkat kerja sama antara prodi bahasa Inggris Universitas Bali Dwipa dan Jurusan Keperawatan. Pelatihan bahasa Inggris ini menggunakan metode persuasif yang merupakan metode yang diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran roleplay ini. Sebelum melakukan pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan metode role play ini, dilakukan metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berdasarkan observasi yaitu dengan mengamati fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan. Pelatihan yang diberikan kepada peserta antara lain pelatihan Bahasa Inggris dasar dengan metode roleplay.

Abstract

This study investigated how modal verbs are used by 4 level of students taking IELTS preparation course in expressing permission, offer, obligation, and possibility. The objectives of the study were to analyze two major issues; 1. is there any significant different between male and female students in using modal verbs properly? and 2. is there any significant different in using modal verbs in regards to the level of the students? As the objectives of the research, 50 male and female students were chosen as a sample who later did a test comprising 40 statements of modal verbs as permission, offer, possibility, and obligation. As a result, the difference attitude between males and females in using modal verbs is significant. In addition, the result of this study revealed that the highest proportion of correct answers made was by advanced, upper intermediate, intermediate, pre-intermediate, and elementary, respectively.
