Spiritual experience may improve appraisal, reduce depression, and enhance the quality of life. This study aimed to estimate the relationship between spiritual experience, appraisal, depression, and quality of life in the elderly. A randomly selected sample of 100 elderly from 18 villages in Mojokerto East Java. An interview-based questionnaire was used to obtain information about spiritual experience, appraisal, psychological well-being and social relationships. The Index Barthel has used measure activities daily living among elderly. The rate of depression was measured by Geriatric Depression Scale. The relationships among variables were estimated using Structural Equation Model (SEM) run in AMOS program. Spiritual experience had the negative effect of depression (p=0.004). The appraisal was not significantly effected on the level of depression (p=0.13). Depression had the negative effect on quality of life (p=0.03). Spiritual experience had the positive effect on quality of life (p=0.000). Spiritual experience, appraisal, and depression have the positively significant influence on the quality of life, but appraisal was not as the determinant to depression. If the spiritual experience of elderly good, the elderly do not occur depression without any perception of elderly appraisal to a stressor. Abstract

The decline in cognitive function in the elderly, which is part of the aging process can result in long-term memory problems and information processes, so it is often regarded as a stressor that causes stress and perceived as an adverse threat. Brain gym can improve memory, decreased emotional stress and the clearer mind. The aim of the study analyzed the effectiveness of brain gym in improving cognitive function and decreased the level of stress of elderly. Pre-experimental study of one group pretest-posttest design with 35 samples selected by simple random sampling. The frequency of Brain Gym exercise twice a week with duration of every 15 minutes and done in four weeks. Measurement of stress level using DASS, while Cognitive function with MMSE. Data analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed improvement of cognitive function in elderly and decreased stress level after brain gym (p = 0.001 and p = 0.009 at α = 0.05). Brain gyms are more effective at lowering stress levels than older cognitive function improvements that require longer and more intense time to improve concentration and elderly memory. Abstract

Life in custody makes space for inmates restricted and isolated from society. Separated from family, long sentences, and negative public stigma often create prisoner stress. Individual coping responses often occur spontaneously and naturally are emotionally focused coping. But often these efforts are not enough to cause an individual effort to fail to reduce stress. This study aims to prove the effect of stress management on decreasing stress level and emotional focused coping of prisoners in Class II B Correctional Institution Mojokerto. In this research the design used is pre experiment with one group pre and post test design approach. A sample of 30 people was taken with simple random sampling. The group is given counseling about stress management. Data collection of prisoner stress using DASS 42 scale with physical, emotional and behavioral indicator with cronbach za sensitivity value 0.756, while emotional focused coping with self-control indicator, distancing, positive reappraisal, accepting responsibility, and escape with value of reactivity coefficient α cronbach 0.837. The influence analysis with the Signed-Rank wilcoxon test showed that stress management was able to decrease the stress level of prisoners with р (0,000) <α (0.05), and stress management was able to decrease the use of emotionally focused coping prisoners with р (0.011) <α (0, 05). inmates at Class II B Correctional Institution B Mojokerto. Several factors affecting the stress of prisoners in Class II B Mojokerto Penitentiary include: the perception of prisoners to the Penitentiary neighborhood, the length of crime that must be lived, the lack of entertainment and activities that can be done in the Penitentiary, the lack of opportunities to meet with the family.

The analysis with Structural of Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Lease Square (PLS) approach with theory-based model development and path diagram development.Result: The level of anxiety of people at risk in facing the Covid-19 outbreak is directly affected by emotional support (path coefficient of 0.516 and statistical T value of 8.289), and information support about Covid-19 with a path coefficient of 0.286 and statistical T value of 3.868. Instrumental support has an indirect effect on anxiety (significance probability (P) 0.385> 0.05). The findings in this study are that social support (emotional and informational) can reduce the level of anxiety of people at risk of Covid-19 during the pandemic. Conclusion: When people are at risk of facing the Covid-19 outbreak, social support helps improve people's ability to the interpretation of stressors during the pandemic properly, and utilize the resources used in solving problems, and good coping efforts, so that the level of anxiety during the pandemic decreased.

Brain gym with edu K exercises or training and kinesis (movement) throughout the brain through renewal of certain motion patterns to open previously obstructed or closed parts of the brain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brain gymnastics on improving cognitive function of old. The design used in this research is experimental pra experimental type with pretest-post test one group design approach. The population in this study were all old people who decreased cognitive function in the Majapahit Nursing Home Mojokerto District in July 2018 as many as 22 people. The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling. The sample size were 13 persons. Independent variable was brain gym while the cognitive function as dependent variable. The instrument used is MMSE questionnaire and brain gymnast SOP. Data analysis using Wilcoxon Test. The results showed that almost all respondents experienced a probable cognitive impairment before doing brain gym in a number of 11 people (86%), and most respondents experienced probable cognitive impairment after a brain gym of 7 people (53.8%). Wilcoxon signed rank test results interpreted ρ value = 0.046<α, so H1 accepted, meaning there was a weak influence of brain gymnastics on old cognitive function in the Majapahit Nursing Home. Movement of brain gymnastics will stimulate parts of the brain to regenerate the brain functions that have decreased, because with brain gymnastics then the blood flow to the brain will be more fluent and meet the needs of brain cells to function properly.
