Abstract

Fruit consumption in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province, has not reached the Nutrient Adequacy Ratio (NAR) yet, and this threatens the health of young people in the future.  Efforts to improve the consumption begin by analyzing the influence of social and personal factors then evaluate consumer preferences for fruits in Bandar Lampung.  The consumer preferences explained by different attributes combination for several fruits, such as mangoes, oranges, and bananas.  Data were collected with the survey method to 100 respondents.  Social factors significantly influence fruit consumption.  The social factors relate to the influence of other peoples that affects fruits consumptions.  Price is an essential attribute considered by consumers when choosing fruits.  Consumers prefer cheap fruits, sweet tasted, small, and clean skinned. Key words: conjoint analysis, consumption, fruit, preferences

Abstract

This study aims to analyze farming and factors that affecting the profit of red chilli farming in Tulang Bawang Tengah Sub-District, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency. This research uses survey method. The research is located in Tulang Bawang Tengah Sub-Distric, Tulang Bawang Barat Regency, which was conducted in April-May 2019. The number of respondent are 57 farmers taken by random sampling method. Data are analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Furthermore, farming analysis is analyzed using income analysis and by counting the value of R/C to cash cost and total cost. Factors affecting profit function are analyzed by profit analysis UOP (Unit Output Price), which is a derived of the cobb douglas production function and normalized by output price. The results show that the average income of red chilli farming in Tulang Bawang Tengah Sub-District base on cash costs and the total cost is Rp47,486,701.79/hectare and Rp22,229,238.35/hectare, respectively. Red Chilli farming give a profit as the value of R/C to cast costs and total cost are 1,99 and 1,33. Factors of land area, seed price, SP36 fertilizer price, manure price, NPK fertilizer price, insecticide price, fungicide price and labor wages significantly affect to the profits of red chilli farming in Tulang Bawang Tengah Subdistric.Keywords : income, profit, and red chilli

Abstract

This research aims to know the farming income of organic rice; production risk and price risk faced by the organic rice farmers. This research was conducted in North Lampung Regency in March-April 2019. This sample of this research consists of 31 organic rice farmers which are taken by using census method. Thedata analysis method are farming income analysis and risk analysis which uses statistics method by counting variance, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation (CV). The results showed that the average of farming income that was achieved by organic rice farmers amounted to IDR 60,525,621.96. The production and price risk are classified into the low category because the value of CV of production risk is 0.13 and CV of price risk is 0.10.Key words: income, organic rice, risk.

Abstract

Abstrak Pembiayaan komoditas pertanian sistem resi gudang belum berlangsung sesuai harapan di Indonesia. Hal tersebut menurut beberapa studi karena masih banyak permasalahan penghambat. Studi ini mengidentifikasi kendala pembiayaan komoditas pertanian sistem resi gudang di Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap responden tertentu yang memiliki pengetahuan atau pengalaman pada pembiayaan komoditas pertanian berbasis sistem resi gudang yang diimplentasikan terhadap komoditas pertanian seperti kopi, lada, beras dan jagung. Data yang dikumpulkan diidentifikasi, dikelompokkan dan diklasifikasikan secara terstruktur di dalam pola berfikir strategis dan dianalisa secara analisa deskriptif. Penelitian ini berhasil menemukan faktor penghambat pembiayaan komoditas pertanian sistem resi gudang di Indonesia antara lain: ketidaksesuaian nilai manfaat yang dibangun dengan karakteristik petani di Indonesia khususnya petani kecil; keterbatasan sumber layanan, ketidakcocokan skema dan fitur pembiayaan, harga pembiayaan dan skala ekonomi petani, suplai informasi yang memengaruhi kesadaran pada pembiayaannya. Permasalahan tersebut harus dapat diminimalisasi sehingga meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kelangsungan pembiayaan sistem SRG pada petani di Indonesia. Kata kunci: Pembiayaan Komoditas Pertanian, Kendala, Sistem Resi Gudang Abstract Agricultural commodity financing in the warehouse receipt system has not performed as expected in Indonesia. According to several studies, it is due to many obstacles hindering the system to grow. This study identifies the constraints on agricultural commodities financing on the warehouse receipt system. The research was conducted through in-depth interviews with certain respondents who have knowledge or experience in agricultural commodities financing based on a warehouse receipt system implemented on agricultural commodities such as coffee, pepper, rice, and maize. The collected data are identified, grouped, and classified in a structured manner in the pattern of strategic thinking and analyzed by descriptive analysis. The study succeeded to identify the barriers that hindering agricultural commodities financing in warehouse receipt system to grow in Indonesia: the incompatibility of the value built with the characteristics of agriculture business, especially for small farmers; limited financing sources, incompatibility of financing schemes and features, financing prices and farmer economies of scale and supply of information that affects awareness of financing. These problems must be minimized to encourage the accessibility and continuity of financing on WRS for farmers in Indonesia. Abstract

This study conducted to analysis the unsustainable risk of coffee farming based on the farmer’s perspective. The field survey set with questioner as a tool in exploring the farmers’ condition. The method of analysis applied Chi-square and regression model. The results indicated that coffee farmer’s perspectives on risk significantly differ based on the education level. Environment risk conditions referred to land degradation, decrease water quality, and water shortage, biodiversity loss, and global warming impact. The economics risk referred to land certainty and decrease of yield (failure). On the other side, the coffee farming income has determined by land area, a number of coffee trees, land tenure, and the participation in the certification scheme.

Abstract

This study aims to analysis income and factors affecting profitability of red onion farming. This research was conducted in Gunung Alip Subdistrict, Tanggamus District.  This study used a survey method, while data were collected by census of 30 red onion farmers in the study area. Data collection was carried out from March to April 2019. The first objective was to find out the income of red onion farming using R-C ratio analysis, while the second objective was to find out the factors affecting the profit of red onion farming using the Cobb-Douglas UOP profit function analysis (Unit Output Price). The results showed that income over cash costs is IDR 63,723,312.16 per planting season/ha and income over total costs is IDR 54,013,048.10 per planting season/ ha.  R/C value of cash costs is 2.51 and R/C of total costs is 2.04, so that red onion farming is profitable.  Factors affecting the profitability of red onion farming are the price of red onion seeds (X1), labor costs (X8), and land size (Z1). Key words: farming, income, red onion, profit.
