Abstract

Life and aspects related to life can be reviewed philosophically which is always interesting to discuss. Even thinkers havediscussed it at any time; saving the lives of a number of questions remain. The purpose of this paper is to provide an insight aboutlife philosophically. The approach used in this study is a research literature with the help of philosophy. It can be concluded that: (1)the life we have today evolved from the evolutionary process, (2) life in the process of evolution toward a goal, (3) there is evil inhuman life born from the creation of human limitations, (4) still the problem of destiny require further explanation, (5) the struggle ispart and parcel of human life.

Abstract

Children are a blessing to the family. Therefore, they should be nurtured, well groomed and educated, and later, shall be able to contribute to their families, community, and nations. Family is the first place a child experiences education. In this case the role and function of parents in educating children becomes very important especially for the growth and development of children. But what happened to the family of female migrant workers in Tracap Village, Kaliwiro Wonosobo is very unique. A mothers who should stay home take care of children, instead going abroad and become migrant workers. This fact raises a question mark. How is the parent's communication pattern with her child intertwined? The purpose of this research is to know about parent communication pattern with children of the family of female migrant worker in Wonosobo and the impact of the communication pattern to the development of child's behavior and talent. This research is using qualitative research method. The data obtained through direct observation, interviews, documentation and literature study on women migrant workers from Wonosobo. After passing the data validity test by using data triangulation and data analysis technique through interactive process hence we can convey result of research as follows: 1) communication pattern between parent to their children in the family of female migrant worker in Tracap Village Kaliwiro Wonosobo is permissive communication pattern. 2) Such pattern of communication will have further affects on the formation of child unusual behavior and talent. An example is when a 8-year-old child whom never wear a clothes, and have no shame on doing so. Or the habit to eating white rice with raw water. Or drink raw water. Or other behavior in the form of taking his brother to take the neighbor's crop without feeling guilty when he was 10 years old.Anak merupakan berkat bagi keluarga. Oleh karena itu, anak harus dirawat, dididik dengan baik, agar kelak berguna bagi keluarga, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Keluarga adalah tempat paling pertama seorang anak mengalami pendidikan. Dalam hal ini peranan dan fungsi orangtua dalam mendidik anak menjadi sangat penting teristimewa bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Namun yang terjadi pada keluarga buruh migran perempuan di Desa Tracap Kaliwiro Wonosobo adalah sangat unik. Ibu yang seharusnya tinggal di rumah mengasuh anak, justru pergi ke luar negeri untuk menjadi buruh migran. Kenyataan ini menimbulkan tandatanya. Bagaimana pola komunikasi orangtua dengan anaknya terjalin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang pola komunikasi orangtua dengan anak pada keluarga buruh migran perempuan Wonosobo serta dampak pola komunikasi tersebut terhadap perkembangan perilaku dan bakat anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Adapun data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka tentang buruh migran perempuan wonosobo. Setelah melalui uji validitas data dengan menggunakan trianggulasi data dan teknik analisis data melalui proses interaktif maka dapat kami sampaikan hasil penelitian seperti berikut ini: 1) pola komunikasi orangtua anak pada keluarga buruh migran perempuan di Desa Tracap Kaliwiro Wonosobo adalah pola komunikasi permisif. 2) Pola komunikasi yang demikian selanjutnya berdampak pada pembentukan perilaku dan bakat anak yang tidak wajar. Seperti tidak pernah memakai baju meskipun umurnya sudah 8 tahun tanpa malu sedikit pun. Atau terbiasa makan makanan berupa nasi putih disiram air mentah. Atau minum air mentah. Atau perilaku lain berupa mengajak saudaranya mengambil tanaman milik tetangga tanpa merasa bersalah padahal umurnya sudah 10 tahun

Abstract

This training activity was held thanks to the collaboration of the Tarakanita School of Communication Science and Secretariat (STIKS Tarakanita) Jakarta with the Jakarta Marga Sejahtera Non-Governmental Organization. This activity was held to provide knowledge and training for young people from Marga Sejahtera NGOs. The youths from the NGO Marga Sejahtera are all high school and vocational high school graduates who have not yet found work. All of them are then gathered to be given various knowledge, skills, and attitudes which are expected to facilitate and assist them in finding work and work. The method used in this activity is training. While the speakers of this training are Tarakanita STIKS lecturers. There are also results obtained from this training are (1) participants have adequate knowledge about the world of work, (2) participants are skilled in preparing a letter of application and CV, (3) participants are skilled in accessing the information on job opportunities through various media including procedures for applying for jobs in a way online, (4) participants send applications to companies that open job vacancies according to participant specifications, and (5) participants have a good attitude and personal performance. Based on the evaluation of the participants both verbally and in writing at the end of the event, it was concluded that similar activity was highly recommended for job seekers, both a high school / vocational and graduate graduates. Because this activity is considered very helpful for each participant in preparing to get a jobABSTRAK:Kegiatan pelaltihan ini terselenggara berkat kerjasama Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Sekretari Tarakanita (STIKS Tarakanita) Jakarta dengan Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat Marga Sejahtera Jakarta. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan untuk memberika pengetahuan dan latihan bagi para pemuda dari LSM Marga Sejahtera. Para pemuda dari LSM Marga Sejahtera semuanya adalah lulusan SMU dan SMK yang belum mendapatkan pekerjaan. Mereka semua kemudian dikumpulkan untuk selanjutnya diberikan berbagai pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap yang diharapkan akan memudahkan dan membantu mereka dalam mencari pekerjaan dan bekerja. Metode yang dipakai dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan. Sementara para narasumber pelatihan ini adalah para dosen STIKS Tarakanita. Ada pun hasil yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini adalah (1) perserta mempunyai pengetahuan yang memadai tentang dunia kerja, (2) peserta terampil menyusun surat lamaran dan CV, (3) peserta terampil mengakses informasi peluang kerja melalui berbagai media termasuk tata cara melamar pekerjaan secara online, (4) peserta mengirim lamaran ke perusahaan yang membuka lowongan pekerjaan sesuai spesifikasi peserta, dan (5) peserta memiliki sikap dan personal performance baik. Berdasarkan evaluasi dari peserta baik secara lisan maupun tertulis diakhir acara, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan yang serupa sangat direkomendasikan bagi para pencari kerja, baik lulusan SMU/SMK maupun lulusan sarjana. Kegiatan ini dipandang sangat membantu setiap peserta dalam mempersiapkan diri mendapatkan pekerjaan

Abstract

ABSTRAKKeterampilan public speaking merupakan satu dari sekian banyak kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh anggota OSIS SMA Pangudi Luhur Servatius Kampung Sawah Bekasi. Kegiatan pelatihan public speaking ini bersifat pengembangan diri dengan tujuan melatih keterampilan public speaking dan menanamkan nilai kepangudiluhuran dalam diri para peserta. Kegiatan ini terselenggara berkat kerjasama Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Sekretari (STIKS) Tarakanita Jakarta dengan SMA Pangudi Luhur II Servatius Kampung Sawah, Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui media Zoom Cloud Meeting secara online. Hasil dan temuan yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini adalah (1) peserta mempunyai pengetahuan baru yang memadai tentang fungsi tujuan dan manfaat public speaking, (2) peserta memiliki pengetahuan tentang nilai-nilai kepangudiluhuran dan menginternalisasi nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan mereka, (3) memiliki kemampuan untuk berbicara di depan umum (public speaking) secara maksimal, (4) peserta memiliki motivasi dan komitmen dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggungjawab OSIS. Online public speaking menjadi salah satu nilai pengembangan diri sebagai anggota OSIS dan internalisasi nilai Pangudi Luhur Kata kunci: pelatihan; public speaking; pengetahuan; keterampilan; sikap. ABSTRACTPublic speaking skills are one of the many skills that must be possessed by OSIS members of SMA Pangudi Luhur Servatius Kampung Sawah Bekasi. This public speaking training activity is self-development with the aim of training public speaking skills and instilling the value of superiority in the participants. This activity was held in collaboration with the Tarakanita Jakarta College of Communication and Secretaries (STIKS) with Pangudi Luhur II High School Servatius Kampung Sawah, Bekasi, West Java. The training was carried out through the online Zoom Cloud Meeting media. The results and findings obtained from this training are (1) participants have adequate new knowledge about the purpose and benefits of public speaking, (2) participants have knowledge of superior values and internalize these values in their lives, (3) have the ability to to speak in public (public speaking) to the fullest, (4) participants have the motivation and commitment in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Student Council. Abstract

In recent years, SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro has experienced an alarming decline in the number of students. In fact, students who attend SDN are free of charge because the costs are paid by the government. This phenomenon reflects the problems that are happening at SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro. One of the problems that urgently and urgently needs to be addressed is the teacher's performance. Based on some literature, it is known that to improve organizational performance; a conducive organizational climate is needed–where there is full employee engagement and employee satisfaction. Therefore, the performance of teachers at SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro is thought to be influenced by several factors, such as organizational climate, job satisfaction, and teacher engagement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction on teacher performance mediated by teacher engagement at SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro, Indonesia. The research model used in this study is a structural model to test the proposed hypothesis using path analysis. There were 30 teachers who participated in this survey using a saturated sample. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to 30 teachers at SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro. This study indicates that teacher performance in SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro is influenced by many factors, which organizational climate, job satisfaction, and employee engagement are important parts of the factors supporting the teacher's performance. The limitation of this study is that there are many other variables that can affect teacher performance in SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro but were not examined in this study, such as work motivation, organizational commitment, school facilities, and perceptions of public and private schools. These variables are suggested to be investigated in further research. The originality of this study shows that these results emphasize the importance of creating and managing organizational climate, job satisfaction, and employee engagement to improve teacher performance at SDN Pondok Pucung 05 Bintaro in carrying out their duties and obligations at school.

Abstract

Literasi digital menjadi hal yang harus ditingkatkan oleh generasi muda guna menghadapi era globalisasi. Kemudahan memperoleh informasi dengan dukungan ketersediaan peralatan dan teknologi membuat informasi menjadi berlimpah. Tanpa pengawasan dari orang yang lebih tua maka para remaja Panti Asuhan Komunitas Anak Maria Immaculata (KAMI) Bekasi menjadi rentan terpapar informasi negatif yang merusak. Untuk itu, para dosen dan mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Sekretari Tarakanita melakukan Pelatihan Pemahaman Literasi Digital dengan tujuan membekali para peserta dengan pengetahuan dan wawasan sehingga lebih bijak dalam mengelola informasi yang diterimanya. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian materi dan pelatihan mengenai bagaimana memperoleh informasi dan mengelolanya secara bijak sehingga menghasilkan informasi yang bermanfaat. Pelatihan singkat ini memang tidak sepenuhnya merubah pola pikir semua peserta terhadap informasi yang diterima tetapi sebagian besar peserta mulai memahami pentingnya literasi digital bagi mereka. Klarifikasi informasi dengan membandingkan informasi yang diterima terhadap informasi sejenis lainnya menjadi salah satu hal meningkatnya pemahaman literasi digital. ABSTRACT The younger generation need to increase their digital literacy if they want to succeed in the globalization era. Information has become easier to obtain and more abundant as a result of the availability of equipment and technology. Without supervision from older people, the teenagers at the Maria Immaculata Children's Community (KAMI) Orphanage in Bekasi are vulnerable to being exposed to harmful negative information. Therefore, lecturers and students of the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Sekretari Tarakanita (Tarakanita School of Communication and Secretarial Studies) conducted Digital Literacy Understanding Training with the goal of providing participants with knowledge and insight to help them manage the information they receive more wisely. The method used is the presentation of materials and training on how to obtain information and manage it wisely so as to produce useful information. This short training did not completely change the mindset of all participants regarding the information received. However, most of the participants started to understand the importance of digital literacy for them. Clarification of information by comparing the information received with other similar information is one of the things that increases understanding of digital literacy.
