Abstract

The study aims to develop and validate problem-based direct instruction model in learning of social studies and determine the effectiveness of the learning model in improving the students' analytical ability. This study employed the Research and Development (RnD) with the 4D model that being modified into the 3D model. The subjects are the fourth-grade students of Gugus Kartini Semarang elementary school. The data are collected by interview, test, observation, and questionnaire. The data analysis involves descriptive qualitative analysis, classical completeness analysis, average completeness analysis, comparative analysis, and analysis of the increase of Normalized Gain. The result of data analysis showed that the average of validator value for learning tools is 3,74. The average percentage of teacher responses is 93,1%, student responses are 90%, and teachers’ teaching skills is 91.3%. The average of students’ analytical ability is 84,53 which is above the minimum completeness criteria. Furthermore, the normalized Gain test indicated an increase in student analytical ability by 71%. Therefore, the finding of this study indicated that problem-based direct instruction model that developed have valid, effective and practical value.

Abstract

The government's efforts in improving the quality of human resources for Vocational High Schools graduates through the revitalization of Vocational Schools are divided into 5 managements (curriculum, human resources, cooperation, quality assurance, infrastructure). One form of cooperation is the Link and Match for Vocational High Schools - Industry and Bussiness World. The purpose of the study was to determine the evaluation of the implementation of link and match in improving the competence of Human Resources. The study was conducted using a qualitative method taking 7 Vocational High Schools in Wonosobo Regency. Data retrieval through data link and match Vocational High Schools - Industry and Bussiness World, Basic Education Data as of May 10, 2020, and open-question research data for 7 Vocational Schools. The data is processed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the link and match of the Vocational High School - Industry and Bussiness World that had been carried out was the implementation of industrial work practices, student competency tests and some had implemented industrial curriculum synchronization. Vocational High Schools have not succeeded in utilizing Human Resources from the expertise of industrial practitioners to the fullest. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that there is a need for a review in the implementation of link and match of Vocational Schools-Industry and Bussiness World in improving the competence of Human Resources.

Abstract

Teaching Factory 6M Learning Model is an integrated learning model. Entrepreneurship Subjects (Mapel) that are refined into Creative Products and Entrepreneurship (PKKWU) are a learning process for inculcating entrepreneurial values ​​through habituation and maintenance of behavior and attitudes. Through the Teaching Factory Learning Model supported by PKKWU learning, students are expected to have an interest in entrepreneurship. The application of the Teaching Factory Learning Model aims to shape student competencies through a unified school environment based on industry and supported by the implementation of PKKWU learning in the formation of an entrepreneurial mentality. This article examines the effect of applying the Teaching Factory 6M Learning Model and Learning Achievement of Creative and Entrepreneurial Products on Entrepreneurial Interests in students of SMK Negeri 4 Kendal. The research method used in this research is descriptive and verification method.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on various sectors in Indonesia, one of which is education. In the new era, education is important to improve human resources. The rapid development of technology will change the way people move and work. The presence of technology as part of society's needs will further reinforce insight into technology. And the Independent Curriculum provides flexibility for educators to improve the quality of education according to the needs of students, so the use of technology in education must be seen as a way to encourage the improvement of the quality of education in this era. In facing the rapid development of technology, digital literacy is the main key and foundation that must be owned by educators. One of the problems faced by teachers is the difficulty of using digital platforms for learning. With limited mastery of technology for learning, it is an initiative for schools to organize training as an effort to increase teacher digital literacy. The purpose of this training activity is to provide interactive learning media training to improve the digital literacy of MTsN teachers in Gowa Regency. The method in this activity is carried out in three stages: pre-training, training implementation, and post-training. Indicators of the success of the activity can be seen from (1) the positive response from the participants regarding this training and (2) the existence of interactive learning media products made by the participants. The results of this training activity showed (1) there was an increase in participants' understanding of interactive learning media with an average of 77% and categorized as very good and, (2) participants were able to make quizzes using interactive learning media.
