Abstract

Background: One of the partnerships of PT. Greenfields Indonesia is located on the slopes of Mount Kawi, precisely in Pijiombo, Ngadirenggo Village, Wlingi District, Blitar Regency. The tropical situation in this area is very humid and has high rainfall. It causes dairy cattle to be infected with helminths. Therefore, observations of the incidence rate of gastrointestinal helminthiasis in dairy cattle are needed. Purpose: To determine the prevalence of gastrointestinal helminths in dairy cattle in the partnership of PT. Greenfields Indonesia. Method: Fecal samples from 36 dairy cattle were collected and examined using native, sedimentation, and flotation techniques. Result: Indicated that the prevalence of gastrointestinal helminths in the dairy cattle was about 66,66%. There were 24 dairy cattle positively and 12 cattle negatively. Helminth species found included class Nematoda (Haemonchus contortus, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Mecistocirrus digitatus, and Gaigeria pachyscelis) and Cestoda (Moniezia expansa). Conclusion: The incidence rate of helminthiasis was quite high dairy cattle in the partnership of PT. Greenfields Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Estrus synchronization is a way to get a herd of cattle estrus at the same time. This method can increase the reproductive success of livestock, thereby increasing production and population. Purpose: To determine the estrus quality from estrus synchronized Boerja goats, in Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency. Method: Estrus synchronization using an intra-vaginal sponge contains hormone progesterone, combined with the injection of the hormone GnRH. an intra-vaginal progesterone sponge was inserted for 14 days. After 14 days, the goats were injected with the GnRH hormone, then placed in a cage with the male and observed for estrus quality. Result: the average onset of estrus was 40.6 hours, the average color of the goat's vulvar mucosa when estrus was 2.3 (dark pink), the average presence of mucus was 1.9 (excess vulvar mucus), the average mucus color is 2.8 (white), and the average temperature increase of the vulva when the goat is in estrus is 0.4 ° C. Conclusion: The observations showed that the estrus quality of the goats was very diverse and not all goats were able to show the maximum estrus quality. It can be due to genetic factors, body condition, and feed nutrition.

Abstract

Background: The productivity of laying hens is a key measurement in the laying hens business. One of the targets for laying hens is to achieve peak production. The optimal peak production period is necessary to attain the maximum profit. Purpose: To determine the productivity of laying hens strain Lohman Brown aged 25-49 weeks at CV. Lawu Farm Malang Regency as an evaluation of the peak production period. Case Analysis: The descriptive method with the case study technique was used. Primary data were obtained from observations by participating in direct livestock activities, interviews, and documentation, and secondary data were obtained from literature studies. The variables observed in this study were Hen Day Production, Feed Conversion Ratio, egg weight, and mortality. Results: Observation of laying hens productivity in CV. Lawu Farm showed that 71.42% of Hen Day Production value of the full cages had met the target with HDP of more than 92%, while 28.58% did not reach the peak production target by only getting HDP less than 90%. The FCR value was 2.4 – 2.15, the average egg weight wais 63.03 grams/egg, and the mortality was ≤3%. Conclusion: The productivity of laying hens of the Lohman Brown strain aged 24-59 weeks at CV. The type of research used in research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, in this study, the informants are the Head of Social Services, the Secretary, and all Heads of Fields in the Social Service. Findings in the field show that the increase in competence carried out by the East Java Provincial Social Service to its personnel is still not optimal. This is due to several factors that hinder the improvement of personnel competence, including Trust and values, expertise, experience, personal characteristics, motivation, emotional issues, and intellectual capacity. The study concludes that the improvement of competence carried out on Social Service personnel is limited to attending work meetings, technical meetings, congresses, seminars, technical guidance, and workshops. Abstract

The property sector contributed 2.77% to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product in 2019,. However, 2020 proved to be a challenging year globally due to the outbreak of COVID-19, which significantly disrupted various sectors, including the global economy. The extent of financial losses worldwide due to the pandemic has not been precisely quantified. This study explores the impact of the pandemic on the property market, specifically focusing on workforce dynamics, performance metrics, effective property sales strategies during the pandemic, and the enhancement of marketing competencies. Employing a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach, this research concludes that exceptional property sales during the pandemic require rigorous effort, high performance, and advanced marketing skills. Competence, diligence, and performance are crucial in enhancing the capabilities of individual salespersons and, consequently, boosting organizational profits. This study highlights that the diligent and performance-oriented behaviors of salespersons are pivotal for acquiring and applying knowledge in sales scenarios, which are essential for navigating the complexities of the pandemic-affected market. The resilience shown by property salespersons in terms of time dedication and sustained effort amidst failures underscores their critical role in sustaining business operations during unprecedented times.
