Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of problem-based learning assisted by a kahoot interactive quiz in increasing the motivation to learn economics students of FKIP Sriwijaya University. This type of research is a quasi experimental (quasi experimental design) with one group pretest-posttest research design. The sample of this study was the 3rd semester students of the Economics Education Study Program FKIP Sriwijaya University in 2019 on macroeconomics courses totaling 56 students. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the average student motivation of 12.97. N-gain value of 57.98 indicates that the increase in motivation that occurred included in the moderate category. Furthermore, based on the results of inferential statistical analysis with paired sample t test obtained significance value of 0,000> 0.05 and tcount value of 8.596> from table of 2.021 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there are significant differences between students' learning motivation before and after applying problem-based learning assisted by a kahoot interactive quiz.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the formation of the concept of ecological citizenship through community activity-based environmental education. This research was conducted in Talang Bubuk Village, Plaju District, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and observation. Data analysis was performed using the Miles, Huberman & Saldana qualitative data analysis technique. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that environmental education which is carried out on the basis of community activities is able to make people care more about the environment in which they live so that indirectly they have been able to form ecological citizenship in the community.

Abstract

Abstract Civic community can be defined as a social organization which is a place where individuals gather because of the same hobbies and common goals. Social organizations can take an active role in social life, including in breaking the spread of covid-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the civic community in an effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study in the Sel-P community in Palembang City. The results showed that the Palembang City Cell-P community participated in supporting the government's efforts in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. What the community does is implementing health protocols in every activity, doing routine exercise every week to strengthen immunity, providing understanding about 3M to community members and carrying out social services by washing worship equipment in various prayer rooms in Palembang city. It is hoped that these various activities will be able to help in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: Role, Civic community, Covid-19 Abstrak Civic community dapat diartikan sebagai suatu organisasi social kemasyarakatan yang merupakan wadah tempat berkumpulnya Individu baik karena kesamaan hobi maupun kesamaan tujuan. Organisasi social dapat mengambil peran aktif dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat tidak terkecuali dalam memutus penyebaran covid-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran civic community dalam upaya mengatasi pendemi covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada komunitas Sel-P Kota Palembang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa komunitas Sel-P Kota Palembang turut berperan serta dalam mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam mengatasi pandemi covid-19. Hal yang dilakukan oleh komunitas tersebut ialah menerapkan protokol kesehatan dalam setiap kegiatannya, melakukan olahraga rutin setiap minggu untuk memperkuat imunitas tubuh, memberikan pemahaman mengenai 3M kepada anggota komunitas serta melakukan bakti social dengan mencuci peralatan ibadah di berbagai mushola yang terdapat dalam kota Palembang. Diharapkan dengan berbagai kegiatan tersebut akan mampu membantu dalam mengatasi pandemi covid-19. Kata Kunci: Peran, Civic community, Covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract Local wisdom as a form of national character is a national identity that must be developed and preserved in every aspect of life, one way is through education. The nature of the educational process carried out in addition to achieving an understanding of the material is also directed at the motivation to continue to maintain and preserve the local wisdom of the Indonesian people. Understanding of the subject matter is also influenced by the learning resources used. As a learning resource, books can provide the necessary information related to the material being studied, so it is very important to provide informative and comprehensive textbooks. This study aims to develop a textbook based on local wisdom in the National Character Education course that is valid, practical, and has potential impact. This research will use a development (R&D) approach that refers to the R & D Cycle Borg and Gall with the stages of preliminary studies, product development, and product trials. The subjects in this study were students of the Civics Study Program who took character education courses. The results of the validation of material experts and linguists showed that the developed book was valid with a score of 94 and 88. Then on the results of the initial test students obtained an average score of 41.9 then in the final test an average score of 80.9 was obtained, this indicates an increase of 39.1 with an N-Gain of 0.7. So it can be concluded if the character education textbooks based on local wisdom that are developed are able to increase understanding of the material being studied. Keywords: Books, Character Education, Local Wisdom Abstrak Kearifan lokal sebagai bentuk karakter bangsa merupakan jati diri bangsa yang harus dikembangkan dan dilestarikan dalam setiap aspek kehidupan salah satu caranya ialah melalui Pendidikan. Hakikat proses Pendidikan yang dilaksanakan selain tercapainya pemahaman terhadap materi juga diarahkan pada motivasi untuk terus menjaga dan melestarikan kearifan lokal masyarakat Indonesia. Pemahaman terhadap materi pelajaran dipengaruhi juga oleh sumber belajar yang digunakan. Sebagai sumber belajar, buku dapat memberikan informasi yang diperlukan terkait materi yang dikaji maka sangat penting menyediakan buku ajar yang informatif dan komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar berbasis kearifan lokal pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Karakter Bangsa yang valid, praktis, dan berdampak potensial. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan pengembangan (R&D) yang mengacu pada R & D Cycle Borg and Gall dengan tahapan studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, dan uji coba produk. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi PPKn yang menempuh mata kuliah pendidikan karakter. Hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli bahasa menunjukan jika buku yang dikembangkan valid dengan skor 94 serta 88. Kemudian pada hasil tes awal mahasiswa memperoleh skor rata-rata 41,9 kemudian pada tes akhir diperoleh skor rata-rata 80,9, ini menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 39,1 dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,7. Maka dapat disimpulkan jika buku ajar Pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap materi yang dipelajari.
