Abstract

This paper discusses noble character instilment through Islamic education in SMA Tunas Luhur, Paiton, Probolinggo. It employs field research by using references related to the discussed topic. It argues that the instillment of noble character through Islamic Education in SMA Tunas Luhur, Paiton, Probolinggo implies the teachings of noble character to God, human beings, and the environment. Besides, it increases the learners' piety to Allah and their academic achievement. The moral instilment to God is implemented through praying Duha, Dhuhr, and Asr in the congregation at the school and in-chain phone calling to wake up the students in the early morning to pray Tahajjud. The instilment of morals to human beings is made through qur'anic gathering, social service, and granting compensation to orphans and the poor. Meanwhile, the instilment of morals to the environment is implemented through good deeds, such as preserving the environment. This school's program is successful for the students' capability to implement the right behaviors to either God, human beings, or the environment in their everyday life.

Abstract

Abstract: The study aims at measuring the effectiveness of experiential learning model for improving the multicultural competence of non-Javanese students in the Malang City. The true-experiment type quantitative study is conducted by using the pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were 20 non-Javanese students in several universities in Malang City that had low multicultural competence. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was implemented in order to compare the score of the students before and after the treatment. In addition, Mann-Whitney U Test was also implemented in order to compare the level of effectiveness statistically between the control group and the experimental group after the provision of the treatment. The results of the study show that the experimental group has significant mean score of multicultural competence in comparison to the control group. The statement implies that the experiential learning model has been effective in improving the multicultural competence of non-Javanese students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keefektifan model experiential learning dalam meningkatkan kompetensi multikultural mahasiswa luar Jawa di Kota Malang. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis true experiment ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 mahasiswa luar Jawa pada beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Kota Malang yang memiliki kategori kompetensi multikultural rendah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test untuk mengukur perbandingan skor sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Analisis Mann-Whitney U Test digunakan untuk membandingkan tingkat keefektifan secara statistik antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Hasil yang menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kompetensi multikultural secara signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol menunjukkan bahwa model experiential learning efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi multikultural mahasiswa luar Jawa.DOI: https://doi.org/10.17977/um001v3i32018p119

Abstract

Most students are in Online learning has psychological problems, amongothers: stress due to many tasks, adjustments self that less burden thought thatGreat, and there is Powerlessness in the student. Therefore, there needs to bepsychological support so that students can be optimistic, realistic, hopeful,and achieve the desired target during the learning process. The purpose of thisdevotional activity is to give information steps backing psychological tostudents so that students can undergo learning daring with good. Abstract

Marketing management is the activity of analyzing, planning, implementing, and controlling programs that are structured in the formation, development and maintenance of profits from exchanges/transactions through target markets with the hope of achieving company goals in the long term (Assauri, 2013). ). MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) are productive business units that stand alone, which are carried out by individuals or business entities in all economic sectors for economic development (Tambunan, 2012; Suci, 2017; Wibowo & Arifin, 2015; Susilo, 2012; Oktafia, 2017). Pandansari Lor Village, Jabung, Malang Regency which has extraordinary potential in agriculture, namely in the form of food crops, especially bananas and cassava, so it is known as the village that produces the largest food crops in Malang Raya. This can be proven from the high economic activity in the banana and cassava agricultural sector.
