Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang ditujukan kepada siswa kelas 2 SDN 17 Sungai Kunjang memberikan pengalaman tersendiri, bagi pelaksana (Dosen), pihak sekolah, para siswa, maupun para orang tua/wali. Melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi zoom siswa dapat mendengarkan dan berbicara dalam ruang tersebut. Setelah melakukan koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Oktober 2020. Secara umum kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode penyampaian komik anak dibawakan oleh saya, sehingga saya dapat mengetahui bagaimana proses belajar mengajar serta kendala yang dihadapi saat masa pandemi. Para siswa terlihat menyukai pembelajaran yang bersifat gambar, hal tersebut terlihat dari antusiasme siswa saat merespon materi yang sifatnya berupa gambar. Berdasarkan aspek berpikir dan merespon pertanyaan, siswa tidak menemui kesulitan meskipun belajar di ruang virtual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan manfaat untuk semangat belajar siswa di ruang virtual untuk kedepannya.

The character education values in movies and contexts and social functions can be relevated and implemented in the schools and universities.Â Some of the educational values of the characters in the film include religious, honestly, and discipline, hard work, creativity, self-sufficiency, the spirit of nationality, and responsibility. How successful the film is in the learning of communication, they can be used in teaching materials. can be expressed and implemented in the daily life of students, like a religious attitude, hard work, creativity, and so on. The emergence of the Tinder dating application as a form of technological progress is utilized by many people to meet the needs of human life in finding a life partner. Tinder appears to make it easier for individuals to get acquainted with new people they meet on the internet. The process of communication and interaction changes. In starting a relationship, self-disclosure is the first step in achieving a deep relationship. In this case, the process of self-disclosure is a process of disclosing personal information. Personality disclosure affects the intimacy of a relationship. The purpose of this research is to find out the phenomenon of finding a mate through the Tinder application in the self-disclosure of users in Samarinda city. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and uses Social Penetration theory. The techniques used in collecting data are observation, interviews and documentation of 5 Tinder application users in Samarinda City. Informant collection using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, the stages of informant self-disclosure in finding a mate through the application are at different stages. Not all informants are at the effective stage, where informants avoid conflict rather than resolve conflicts that occur so that the relationship runs aground before commitment. In the orientation process, selection is made through the user profile in the application, then the process of self-disclosure is carried out outside the application

This research aims to explain how the communication strategy of Kutai Literacy and Etam Culture Community to build public awareness in learning sign language and explain the supporting and inhibiting factors of Kutai Literacy and Etam Culture Community activities in building public awareness in learning sign language. Formulation of communication strategies with the stages of knowing the audience, compiling messages, determining methods and selecting the use of media using the Elaboration Likelihood Model. The research method used to understand this issue is descriptive qualitative aims to explain the phenomenon as deeply as possible. The results of this research conducted, researchers can draw conclusions on the communication strategy of the Kutai Literacy and Etam Culture Community to build public awareness in learning sign language. First, recognize the audience where Kaliya's audience is the general public and in social media are those who are friends with Kaliya's Instagram account. Second, composing the message in accordance with Kaliya's vision, mission and goal, which is to build inclusive education and help provide information accessibility to deaf or hard of hearing people. Third, determining the method in this case in delivering the message, Kutai Literacy and Etam Culture Community uses redundancy, persuasive, informative and educative. Fourth, the use of Kaliya media in delivering information directly through Car free day, socialization in the agency environment and Kaliya Goes to School and for indirect media is Instagram and Whatsapp. The Elaboration Lkelihood Model analysis of Kaliya on the Central line conveys a message that makes sense and is relevant to the Law and conveys the importance of learning sign language, on the peripheral line Kaliya tries to build a Positive Image and includes outstanding deaf figures in building public awareness. The supporting factors of Kaliya's activities are the support from government agencies and it is an independent community that is well known and the activities are rarely done. The inhibiting factor is the lack of human resources both from Kaliya members or volunteers and deaf friends who excel.

Environmental issues have become the talk of recent years, education and information about deteriorating natural conditions are needed to maintain natural health. Given the rise of environmental issues in recent years, PT Lasallefood Indonesia has participated by raising environmental issues as their advertising concept for 2023. This study aims to show environmental issues in the form of marine pollution represented in marjan advertisements "baruna sang guardian samudra" episodes 1 and 2 using qualitative approaches and data collection techniques Observation and documentation. The analysis was conducted by observing scenes related to marine pollution obtained through symbols and signs displayed throughout the marjan advertisement "Baruna the Guardian of the Ocean" episodes 1 and 2 through the approach of Charles Sanders Pierce's Semiotic Theory. The results of this study show that the Baruna Sang Guardian of the Ocean marjan advertisement tries to represent 3 aspects broadly related to environmental issues of marine pollution, the first is the act of marine pollution represented by adult characters who are fishermen and children as coastal villagers who throw plastic waste into the sea, the second is the impact of plastic pollution on the marine environment represented by the inner ocean and the surface that has been Filled with plastic waste, the last impact of marine pollution that is happening to marine life is represented by the figure of a dragon as marine life affected by marine pollution in the form of being eaten by plastic waste.

The strategic position of journalists in the public sphere must be considered. Besides being increasingly in demand, this profession has become a promising profession and has a career path. This study aims to understand the challenges and strategies used by women journalists in the Samarinda City Government in carrying out their role as professionals. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, which helps to describe the reality that occurs in society. Four female journalists who met the research criteria were interviewed and observed to collect data. The results showed that women journalists in the Samarinda City Government face challenges from their surroundings. These challenges include the empowerment of normative rights that have not been optimal, difficulties in obtaining sources, including their different characteristics, the existence of fake journalists, and gender bias in the newsroom and the field. In addition, the double burden of carrying out their profession is also a problem they need help with. Despite this, these female journalists still try to maintain their professionalism. They construct themselves as professional journalists by understanding that their profession is a form of responsibility and commitment. They maintain standards of professionalism by prioritizing the code of ethics, ethical awareness, knowledge, and competencies possessed. In this way, they strive to stay relevant and in a professional carriage in the face of the ever-growing flow of news.

Domestic violence is a dynamic phenomenon that can occur in all walks of life. Given the role of film as a tool to convey ideas and influence the audience, research on the effects of domestic violence in the movie Precious is interesting to do. The rampant news about domestic violence makes this research relevant because this movie can provide an overview of the destructive impact of domestic violence on children as victims. The aim of this research is to find out what the physical, psychological, sexual, and social effects are due to domestic violence experienced by the main character in the film Precious. This research uses a quantitative content analysis method with a descriptive approach. Data will be measured using a measurement table. The research population is the movie Precious with a duration of 1 hour 50 minutes, with a sample of scenes containing the effects of domestic violence. The results showed that Precious depicts various effects of domestic violence, such as loss of self-confidence, anxiety, lack of attention from parents, withdrawal from the family, use of harsh words, stress, depression, self-isolation, not given living expenses, embarrassment to meet others, problematic education, trauma, pregnancy, children replacing parental roles, loss of jobs, imagining the violence experienced, bruises, bumps on the body, and injuries.
