Abstract

Abstract

Strategic planning is an essential part of the college life cycle; a critical aspect of planning is the digital transformation of universities. Digital transformation supports university business processes and is a riving engine for universities to adapt to changes to provide added value for the best services for all stakeholders. To achieve this, universities need an overview of the maturity level of digital transformation that has been achieved today. This research produces a new methodology for assessment in a holistic framework as an indicator of measuring the maturity level of digital transformation. This measuring tool must be easy to use by universities when they will take measurements for all academics and easily understood by all respondents who are determined to provide an accurate picture of the maturity level of digital transformation. The final result is presented in the form of a framework that contains a standard value index of maturity level, and recommendations for digital transformation as a form of self-evaluation for higher education strategic planning

Abstract

This article discusses strategies to achieve good data governance in Indonesia amidst data security challenges, including data security cases that have occurred in Indonesia. According to the IT Governance Institute (ITGI) in 2021, only 34% of companies in Indonesia have implemented good data governance standards. This indicates a gap in understanding between organizations, as they have not fully realized and understood the importance of data governance. This study used a narrative review as a methodology to evaluate relevant studies related to this topic. The findings show the importance of sustainable data governance and cybersecurity, but only a small portion of organizations in Indonesia have implemented data governance strategies or data intelligence solutions. This article highlights strategies to improve data security in data governance in Indonesia through a better understanding of information security practices. The Data Management Association (DAMA) International Guide to the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) concept is used as a conceptual framework for this research. This article provides significant information on strategies to improve security practices in data governance and the safe use of data, which can improve economic well-being.

Abstract

The previous research that created a framework for evaluating the level of digital maturity and digital transformation in higher education is a valuable resource for universities when revising their Digital Campus Master Plan (DCMP). DCMP is an integral part of a university's life cycle and is derived from their Strategic Plan. The strategic planning within DCMP should be reviewed regularly and adapted to the latest changes in digital maturity and digital transformation within the university. A university's level of digital maturity is a measure of their readiness to incorporate digital technology and information technology into their campus. The goal of a digital transformation in universities is not only to implement technology but to also develop new strategies and methods of working that positively impact the university experience for students (digital journey). The digital transformation maturity assessment is crucial in helping universities align or restructure their DCMP or Information Technology Master Plan (ITMP). The outcome of this research is a matrix that will guide the digital transformation planning team in realigning or redeveloping the DCMP.

Abstract

The era of globalization is closely related to comprehensive technological developments in various fields. Digitalization in all sectors is undeniable, currently, digitalization is not only developing in cities, but several villages in Indonesia are starting to develop and build digital villages, known as smart villages. However, this has not developed optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a smart village, especially in the health sector. In this study, a platform was designed that can be used to educate with the help of an application platform. The method used in this study was to conduct a survey with related parties and provide education on village programs to monitor the stunting of pregnant women and toddlers. In addition, the authors also held discussions to help the community. The hope of the educational platform related to stunting reduction is to support a national program to reduce stunting rates in Indonesia. Keywords: stunting; education platform; smart village

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has dramatically impacted various industries, prompting organizations to adopt computer-based systems that boost innovation and business efficiency. It has become an industry cornerstone, driven competition and enabling companies to enhance production efficiency, creating adaptable business models that align with Goal 9 of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This goal promotes strengthening infrastructure, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable industrial growth, which is crucial for achieving sustainable development and community empowerment. In the textile manufacturing industry and among small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), companies often struggle to manage multiple operational areas due to a lack of integration in management systems like order processing, inventory, production, delivery, and finance. This reliance on manual processes can lead to errors, delays, and data inaccuracies, impacting customer satisfaction and competitiveness. To tackle these issues, this study proposes developing a mini-ERP system tailored to small and medium-sized companies, particularly textile manufacturers. This system aims to integrate various business functions into a centralized platform, enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing errors, and improving customer service. However, challenges such as customization, implementation costs, and staff training must be addressed. Using a qualitative approach, this research includes in-depth interviews, observations within textile companies, and document analysis. The waterfall model guides the development process, ensuring thorough task completion at each stage. The goal is to design and implement an ERP system that meets the unique needs of textile manufacturers while ensuring seamless adoption and maximum benefit.

Abstract

Differences in cultural dimensions across countries can influence approaches and behavior patterns in education. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of culture on problem-solving and decision-making in student projects in Indonesia and Germany. A comparative approach between the two countries identifies significant cultural differences in power distance, individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance, long-term orientation, and indulgence. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data was collected through interviews and observations of students involved in the project. The study results show that cultural differences affect students' approaches to problem-solving and decision-making. In Indonesia, group cooperation and conformity to social norms play an important role, while independence and critical thinking are prioritized in Germany. The implications of this research are the importance of increasing cultural awareness, developing collaborative skills, increasing independence and critical thinking, and empowering students with cultural knowledge. By understanding cultural differences and taking the right steps, educators can create an inclusive learning environment and prepare students to face the challenges of an increasingly globalized world.
