Abstract

The formation of fandom as group is caused by an existing interest for the same object. Fandom is a popular culture in the industrial society, as a way to admire certain culture. Fandom provides the evidence that audiences is an important factor in media development. Korean boyband fandom is the largest and gained highest members. At the moment, the emergence of Korean boyband fandom apprears in fan activities as the actualization of the fan’s support toward their idol. The internet has been used not only as a search engine, but also as a communication tool. The author tries to analyze the phenomenon of internet-based, namely Wattpad, and also the internet capability that enable citizen authorship. This study uses qualitative methods, by conducting interviews to obtain data. The results of this study show two factors that influence fans to write a Fan Fiction about their idols, namely internal factors amd also external factors. Keywords: Fans, Fan Fiction, Citizen Authoer, Wattpad.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is not something that has just been heard or recently talked about. Sexual harassment is still a threat and taboo to be discussed and is not an easy thing to get rid of. This often happens to women in Indonesia, both in public places and on social media. However, along with the presence of social media, women can take advantage of the forum as a place where they express their opinions to voice issues of empowering women. Therefore, the objective of this research is to find out women victims of sexual harassment in utilizing social media Twitter as a forum for expression related to sexual harassment cases. This research used theory of feminism, cyberfeminism, sexual harassment and the relation between technology and women. This research used qualitative approach and constructivism strategy. The data was collected through in-depth interview with female victims of sexual harassment who dare to speak up on Twitter social media.

Abstract

The application of communication ethics in table manner activities is a form of etiquette learning related to how a person behaves and interacts politely at the dinner table. Table manner activities not only teach skills in the use of tableware, but also how to communicate politely, maintain ethics, and show respect for the interlocutor in formal situations. Communication etiquette in table manner includes the right choice of words, good body posture, and how to convey a message without disturbing the comfort of others around you. This study aims to identify the importance of communication ethics in table manner activities, as well as its impact on the formation of a positive self-image and better interpersonal relationships. By applying good communication ethics through table manners, individuals are expected to improve the quality of their social interactions in various formal and informal situations, especially in the field of public relations. The implementation of the manner table at the Horison Hotel Bekasi, West Java and the method was carried out using direct observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results and discussions obtained from the table manner participants were 64 people, one of the results was the application of table manner to increase awareness of the importance of ethics in communicating in the professional world. Participants who participated in table manner activities showed a better understanding of manners, both in the use of tableware and in conveying polite and polite communication.

Abstract

This community service focuses on efforts to prevent radicalism among children of the Mat Peci Ciliwung Community in Jakarta. The goal is to provide an understanding of national values, tolerance, and diversity from an early age. The methods used include socialization, training, discussion, and a child-friendly educational approach. Activities are carried out interactively through the delivery of visual materials and question and answer sessions. The results of the community service show an increase in children's understanding of the dangers of radicalism and the emergence of enthusiasm in expressing opinions and participating in discussions. This socialization is effective in forming children's characters who are critical, tolerant, and have a strong sense of nationalism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are utilized by government institutions and companies in public relations (PR) practices, and to relate these findings to crisis management strategies. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys and interviews involving 23 institutions, consisting of 19 government agencies and 4 private companies. The results show that ChatGPT is the most widely used AI tool (56%), followed by Gemini (34%) and QuillBot (14%). Most other tools showed low usage rates, with a high percentage falling under the “unknown” category, indicating limited information and awareness regarding AI technologies within PR environments. These findings have strategic implications in the context of crisis management, as the speed and accuracy of information dissemination are highly dependent on technological adaptability. The integration of AI tools into public communication systems can serve as both a preventive and responsive solution to reputational and operational crises. Therefore, policies are needed to enhance digital literacy and provide technical training on AI utilization for PR practitioners in both the public and private sectors.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the quality of services at Puskesmas (community health centers) through intensive assistance in content creation and digital communication media. The main issue addressed is the low digital literacy among healthcare workers at Puskesmas in managing effective communication media to reach the public. This has led to low community participation in health programs run by Puskesmas. Therefore, this program is designed to enhance healthcare workers' skills in utilizing digital technology for health promotion and improving communication effectiveness with the public. The program implementation involves several stages: (1) an initial survey to assess the condition of existing communication media, (2) training on creating engaging and informative health education content, (3) workshops on graphic design and health promotion video creation, (4) guidance on using social media platforms to disseminate health information, and (5) continuous evaluation and monitoring to ensure the sustainability of the program. This activity involves 25 healthcare workers from 5 selected Puskesmas, with a mentoring duration of 6 months. The results show significant improvements, including: an increase in healthcare workers' ability to create digital content from 30% to 85%, a 200% increase in public engagement with health information, and a 150% increase in the coverage of health promotion services. Additionally, the program has produced 120 pieces of health education content, 15 health promotion videos, and 8 successful digital campaigns that have successfully enhanced public participation in health programs. The long-term impact of this program is the increased public awareness of preventive health and improved access to Puskesmas services. This program can also be replicated in other regions as a model for improving the quality of primary healthcare services through optimal use of digital technology, which can accelerate the achievement of national health development goals.
