Abstract

In Human Resource Management, workers from the millennial generation, including those working as lecturers in Indonesia, are often studied with regard to their low level of organizational commitment. Millennial lecturers are often faced with various challenges that can trigger them to decide to quit their jobs and leave the college. This research aimed to discover the factors influencing millennial lecturers’ organizational commitment. The instruments used were the Organizational Commit­ment Scale, Job Satisfaction Survey, and Professional Commitment Scale. The respondents were 123 lecturers from 10 universities in Padang, Jakarta, and Bali, who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was a multiple regression analysis. The research findings showed that job satisfaction and professional commitment, to be exact, their satisfaction with supervisors, professional commitment continuance and normative professional commitment had a significant impact on these lecturers’ organizational commitment. The result of this study delivers important implications to universities in managing their millennial lecturers so that they can improve their organizational commitment.

Abstract

Based on the need analysis conducted, the problems are Bubutan subdistrict of Surabaya City has a large number of young people, but it is not balanced with productivity. In this stage, adolescents should be directed to carry out positive activities by their interests. Results of the initial assessment found that young people in Bubutan are interested in the field of entrepreneurship. Still, unfortunately, most of them did not have basic entrepreneurial knowledge and skill. The solution that is expected to be effective for those problems is an entrepreneurship education program to empower self-potential in the entrepreneurial field. In fact, the implementation of this program can be a solution to the need of young people in Bubutan, which was lack entrepreneurial education. This program was given to Posyandu Remaja with consideration that they can become initiators for other adolescents to develop productivity, quality, and self-character in the industrial era 4.0, which demands global competition.

Abstract

Hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kesejahteraan psikologis telah diteliti oleh beberapa peneliti terdahulu. Studi telaah literatur yang sistematis ini dilakukan untuk meninjau hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut dalam konteks pandemi Covid-19. Pembatasan kegiatan dalam rangka pengendalian penyebaran Covid-19 telah mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat, baik dari segi pembatasan ruang gerak maupun relasi sosial. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan aktivitas fisik yang terjadi selama masa pandemi Covid-19 dan pengaruhnya terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelusuran di Scopus pada tanggal 20 Mei 2021 menggunakan kata kunci psychological well-being, subjective well-being, physical activities, physical exercise, sporting behavior, outdoor activity, serta Covid-19 dan pandemic dengan pembatasan rentang tahun publikasi 2020 – 2021 menghasilkan temuan 241 artikel. Selanjutnya, dengan menerapkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, tahapan penyaringan judul dan abstrak serta penyaringan teks lengkap dilakukan menggunakan bantuan perangkat Covidence. Dari hasil penyaringan, ada 7 artikel yang kemudian terpilih untuk ditelaah. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perubahan aktivitas fisik selama pandemi Covid-19 dibandingkan sebelum pandemi. Perubahan tersebut juga ikut memengaruhi tingkat kesejahteraan psikologis di masa pandemi. Dengan demikian, penyesuaian dalam aktivitas fisik di masa pandemi Covid-19 tetap dapat dilakukan dalam rangka menunjang kesejahtreaan psikologis seseorang.

Abstract

Desire to leave organization (turnover intention) is a phenomenon that has increased in recent years, especially for Millennial employees that dominate the job market now and have unique characteristics which require special attention. This systematic literature review aimed to identify the factors that influence turnover intention in Millennial employees. On 25 June 2022, a search on three databases: SAGE Journals, Springer Link, and Web of Science, and keywords “turnover intention*” AND “Millennial*” OR “generation y” OR “gen-y”, with year filter 2019-2022, showed 73 relevant articles. Furthermore, applying the inclusion and exclusion criterias, there were 5 articles selected. The results showed that the influencing factors are: psychological contract violations, work-life balance, job characteristics (task and knowledge), work fulfillment, and the quality of relationship with colleagues. By knowing these factors, organizations can use them as a reference in formulating strategies to retain Millennial employees in the workplace.

Abstract

The use of mobile payment increases along with technology advancement and the proliferation of mobile payment providers. This study aimed to investigate the effect of perceived ease of use, attitude toward mobile payment, perceived convenience benefit, and social benefit on intention to use mobile payment. A cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 120 mobile payment customers in Surabaya, the 2nd largest city in Indonesia, who used OVO, Go-Pay, LinkAja, or T-cash in the last month and aged no younger than 18 years old. A questionnaire distributed to the participants with accidental sampling technique. A Partial Least Squares (PLS) modeling indicated a positive effect of attitude on intention to use mobile payment among participants. Attitude also fully mediated the links between perceived ease of use, perceived convenience benefit, and intention to use mobile payment. Meanwhile, perceived social benefit was not associated with intention to use mobile payment. Therefore, mobile payment providers should take ease of use and comfort into account when designing their service as they might shape a positive attitude and in turn, increase people’s intention to use the service.

Abstract

The current situation in the world is experiencing VUCA, where there are rapid and drastic changes in technology, economics, the environment, and other aspects. Every adult, especially employees and job seekers, needs to develop learning agility so that they can adapt and compete in today's era. This systematic literature review aims to identify the factors related to learning agility. Article searches were conducted from March to June 2022 using six databases, namely SpringerLink, Emerald Insight, ScienceDirect, SAGE, Scopus, and ProQuest, with keywords "Learning Agility" AND "Employee*" OR "Jobseeker*" OR "Student*". After the article screening process, a total of 10 studies were obtained and analyzed in this literature review. The results show that there are 11 factors related to learning agility, namely compensation, salary, internal marketability, digital competence, digital technologies, e-learning, career variety, work experience, outcome, learning engagement, dan turnover intention. The results of this study can be useful as a reference for future research to further examine the relationship of the above factors. The results of the study can also be practically useful for developing individual learning agility so that they have optimal potential to adapt agilely in the VUCA era.

Abstract

In a rapidly changing world like today, startups face significant challenges in adapting to technological, economic, and environmental changes to remain competitive in the business world. To enhance their competitive advantage amidst these changes, startups, known for their fast-paced business operations, require employees who can adapt swiftly. This research aims to examine the influence of a growth mindset and resilience on learning agility among employees at a mental health startup company in Surabaya. A cross-sectional survey involving 50 employees was conducted, and the collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that both a growth mindset and resilience have a positive influence on learning agility. Therefore, startup companies can implement interventions such as training on a growth mindset and resilience to enhance the learning agility of their employees, enabling them to remain competitive in the business industry.

Abstract

Alat bantu trigonal pencil merupakan salah satu  media alternatif buat mengupayakan serta menolong anak dalam memegang pensil dengan metode yang pas untuk anak cerebral palsy. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dengan subjek tunggal dengan desain A- B- A. Metode analisis informasi yang digunakan yakni metode analisis visual grafik. Dicoba sebanyak 16 pertemuan. Hasil perolehan informasi dari aktivitas baseline awal( A1) merupakan 31, 6%, 33, 3%, 33, 3%, 33, 3%. Intervensi ( B) tiap- tiap menggapai hasil 45%, 45%, 58, 3%, 60%, 76, 6%, 86, 6%, 86, 6%, serta 86, 6%. Setelah itu pada baseline kedua( A2) hasilnya merupakan 88, 6%, 91, 6%, 93, 3%, 95%. Hasil penelitian ini menampilkan bahwa alat bantu bantu trigonal pencil efektiv dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pramenulis, perihal ini nampak pada perolehan nilai yang anak miliki dalam tiap keadaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of public service motivation (PSM) on organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) and the moderating role of service climate in the relationship between the two variables in the context of the State Civil Apparatus in Indonesia. This research uses a cross-sectional study approach with a survey method and involves 105 state civil apparatus employees in East Java Province who serve for at least one year. The sample was drawn using accidental sampling technique. Participants completed an online questionnaire to measure the three research variables. PSM was measured with Public Service Motivation Scale (α:.81), service climate was measured with Service Climate Scale (α:.89), and OCB was measured OCB Scale (α:.94). The data analysis process in this study used moderated regression analysis techniques to test the research hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that public service motivation has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior, and service climate shows a significant positive moderating role in strengthening the relationship between public service motivation and organizational citizenship behavior.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh public service motivation (PSM) terhadap organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) serta peran moderasi service climate dalam hubungan kedua variabel tersebut dalam konteks Aparatur Sipil Negara di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional study dengan metode survei serta melibatkan 105 pegawai aparatur sipil negara di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang mengabdi sekurang-kurangnya selama satu tahun. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Partisipan mengisi kuesioner daring untuk mengukur ketiga variabel penelitian. PSM diukur dengan menggunakan Public Service Motivation Scale (α:.81), service climate diukur dengan menggunakan Service Climate Scale (α:.89), dan OCB diukur dengan menggunakan OCB Scale (α:.94). Proses analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis moderated regression analysis untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa public service motivation berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior, serta service climate menunjukkan adanya peran moderasi positif yang signifikan dalam memperkuat hubungan antara public service motivation dengan organizational citizenship behavior.
