Abstract

Terantang Village is located in Barito Kuala Regency, where the women are members of the PKK, which is where they learn to start a home business. Most PKK members are housewives who have just started small businesses such as spinach chips. This training aimed to provide the participants with a business alternative, from determining and designing products that suit their conditions to training on how to produce these products. Fish amplang was offered as an alternative product, considering that the raw material in the form of fish is easy to obtain and does not require special equipment in its manufacture. This activity is carried out by providing material about product design and practicing making fish amplang taught by an amplang business owner. From the activities carried out, the participants gained new skills regarding the design of fish amplang products. In addition, this training is expected to be a provision for them to develop their businesses. Furthermore, from the evaluation results, it is found that the participants are satisfied with the training carried out, especially since they can learn new skills. They also request that similar training be held periodically.

Abstract

The UKM of the sasirangan craftsman group in the HST district, apart from being relatively newly developed, was also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic which limited social interaction, thus hampering it. Facing these tough challenges, the craftsmen need a mental business requirement that is rooted in their individual character. The character of an entrepreneur must be possessed by a craftsman to help him survive and develop. Therefore, a training is needed in order to build entrepreneurial character for UKM Sasirangan craftsmen in HST district. The participants felt that this training was too short, so they felt it was unsatisfactory and they wanted to give similar training again. Participants feel they have not been able to fully implement the results of this training. For this reason, feedback has been given, that it is impossible for all of this knowledge to be implemented at once, it takes time to be trained independently and continuously while working (learning by doing) and training only provides provisions for participants to initiate change, and no change will occur if participants do not start it, because the change only occurs by himself. Participants realized that the character of an entrepreneur must be formed intentionally, and the process of internalizing entrepreneurial character takes time to shape a person so that it help them survive and develop.

Abstract

Today's younger generation, especially students, are more aware of technological advances than the older generation. Even so, it is still a question whether they have an awareness of the importance of investment. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the investment awareness of the younger generation, in this case students. This study used a questionnaire as the main data collection instrument by taking a sample of 113 students majoring in economics in South Kalimantan. The results of the study reveal that financial literacy, personal interest and saving behavior have a positive and significant effect on the investment awareness of students. These results indicate that student investment awareness arises from their own awareness where they have the initiative to seek more detailed information about investment and the habit of making financial planning. Furthermore, studying the level of investment awareness can provide important insights for policy makers, and educational institutions on how to increase support for young investors in making sound investment decisions.

Abstract

In this technologically advanced world, it is essential for students to develop the competence to manage their financial behavior, especially in the context of utilizing financial technology applications for effective financial decision-making. This study examines the effects of financial education, digital financial management, and lifestyle on the Financial Management Behavior of higher education students in South Kalimantan. Employing a quantitative research methodology, data were collected through a structured survey administered to 132 economics major students across the region. The results indicate that financial education exerts a significant positive influence on students’ financial planning, saving, and budgeting behaviors. However, digital financial literacy, while positively associated with increased financial control and decision-making efficiency, in this study demonstrates no statistically significant influence on Financial Management Behavior. Moreover, lifestyle factors, particularly consumption habits and social norms, are found to have an effect on Financial Management Behavior. These findings underscore the multifaceted nature of financial behavior among young adults and highlight the critical role of educational and technological interventions in promoting sound financial practices within the context of higher education in South Kalimantan.
