Abstract

 The increasing case of dental caries among developing country rather than the establish country which showed the decreasing of case. The high incidence of dental caries in children requires optimal handling, especially in preventing the incidence of dental caries in children This research is a quantitative research. The sample in this study is the 7th grade of public junior high school Muara Kelingi students (195 students) using total sampling technique. The data in this study were obtained using secondary data from surveillance data and medical record . Then analyzed using the Chi- Square test. This research was conducted in June 2020 at SMP N 1 Muara Kelingi Kabupaten Musi Rawas. The results showed the variable age (p 0.002), gender variable (p 0.200), knowledge variable (p 0.001), cariogenic food habits variable (p 0.001), nutritional status (p 0.212), toothbrush habit variable (p 0.015). and variable utilization of service facilities (p 0.002). In the multivariate analysis, it was found that the most dominant variable associated with the incidence of dental caries was the habit of toothbrushes with a p value of 0.012. Based on the research results, it is necessary to have facilities and information related to dental health and the need for support and an active role from parents.

Abstract

Mothers can prepare “Dairy Milk Mother’s Savings”. An understanding of the importance of Dairy Mother's Milk saving must be supported by her husband and the surrounding environment because mothers can prepare themselves in prioritizing the health of babies with breast milk that has been dairy. This study aims to determine the factors associated with dairy breastmilk storage by worked mothers in work area at the Sosial Health Center Social in Palembang. This study uses a quantitative analytic survey research design with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were babies who received exclusive breastfeeding totaling 475 babies. The minimum research sample in this Sukajaya village is 343 babies from 17 posyandu. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Interview data collection method using a questionnaire. Data analysis was done by Chi square test of 95% confidence level (? = 0.05). The results of this study indicated there were an associated between knowledge (? = 0.011), occupation (? = 0.003), education (? = 0.030), husband's support (? = 0.043) and health promotion (? = 0.024), there were no between relationship attitude (? = 0.341) and age (? = 0.246) with dairy milk storage by the mother of the worker. It was recommended to the Health Center can be taken into consideration made decision carrying counseling.

Abstract

 The implementation of sex education to children is an application what children aged 8-10 years get about things related to sex education in the form of children tau and maintaining the cleanliness of their reproductive organs, children know what forms of sexual abuse are, children are able to protect themselves from sexual harassment.  The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of sex education in children at elementary school 108 Palembang. The population in this study were all 6th grade students aged 10-13 years, sample taken in this study 96 respondents using a total sampling technique. The chi square test results show that there is an association between the implementation of sex education in children with knowledge (P = 0.001, OR = 4.8, 95% CI = 1.9-12), role of parents (P = 0.000, OR = 6.95 CI = 2.6-13.6), role of homeroom teacher (P = 0,000, OR = 8.03, 95% CI = 3.05-21.1), role of friends (P = 0.010, OR = 3.8, 95% CI = 1.4-10), social media (P = 0.003, OR = 4.2, 95% CI = 1.6-10.4), facilities (P = 0.004, OR = 4.2, 95% CI = 1.6-11), religious norms (P = 0.036, OR = 2.7, 95% CI = 1.1-6.6). With the most dominant variable with the implementation of sex education in children is the role of the homeroom teacher (OR=8.519, 95% CI= 2.58-28.09). It is recommended that through this research, especially the parents to maintain the provision of good sex education to their students and start giving them to grade 5 children according to curriculum 13, and it is even better to provide sex education as early as possible to all students using appropriate language according to age.

Abstract

Lack of breast milk intake results in an imbalanced baby's nutritional needs. This study aims to determine the factors related to exclusive breastfeeding for infants in the work area of Puskesmas 23 Ilir. This research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted at Puskesmas 23 Ilir. The population in this study were 229 mothers who had babies aged 6 months and the research sample was 70 mothers. The results showed that the majority of exclusive breastfeeding gave exclusive breastfeeding amounted to 46 respondents (56.7%), and 24 respondents (34.3%) did not provide exclusive breastfeeding. The chi square test of the association between knowledge (p value = 0.014), attitude (p value = 0.039), mother occupation (p value = 0.045), family support (p value = 0.042), nutritional status of mothers (p value= 0.08). The dominant factor in this study was the variable of mother's attitude with a value of ? = 0.007 and (Exp B = 7.844). It is recommended to provide education to the public for health workers to be able to provide information and education about exclusive breastfeeding to mothers.
