Abstract

Agricultural land in the city has decreased because of land-use transition. They people who lived in worst area or state-owned land has to move in the flats was provided by government. Public space in front of Marunda flats used for urban farming and man’s skill in agriculture who participated empowerment activity is not still enough, flats’ irrigation has defiance and group working isn’t fair so yet, it makes the society chooses to do agriculture activities by themselves. The purpose of this research is: to know external and internal factors are obstruct empowerment activities arranged in Marunda flats, to know empowerment activities in Marunda flats, and also to give recommendation about empowerment activities according to condition in Marunda flats. This research used purposive sampling in Marunda flats Jakarta Utara. Informants are selected by snowball sampling technique and data validity obtained by data source triangulation method. According to this research there are some external and internal factors which obstruct empowerment activities in Marunda flats. Marunda flats is society’s flats relocation in Jakarta consists of 4 cluster (cluster A,B, C and D) external factor obstruction are natural resources, environments, dynamics group, networking, human resources, policy, facilities and infrastructure. Internal factors obstruction are skill, non-formal education, and income. There some activities to fulfill empowerment implementation process held in Marunda flats are extension, training, controlling and evaluation. Design of activity according to situation of Marunda flats which are strengthening community organizations, optimizing the role of companions, and persuasive communication.

Abstract

Penyuluhan merupakan proses penyebarluasan informasi agar terjadi perubahan perilaku menjadi tahu, mau, dan mampu dalam melakukan usahatani demi peningkatan produktivitas, pendapatan, serta, perbaikan kesejahteraan petani beserta keluarganya. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan pada Kelompok Tani Rukun Makaryo Dusun Dani, Desa Pereng, Kecamatan Mojogedang yang telah menerapkan One Village One Product (OVOP) buah alpokat. Kegiatan penyuluhan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Kelompok Tani Rukun Makaryo dalam melakukan budidaya alpokat sehingga produktivitas meningkat dan menambah pendapatan masyarakat. Metode dan teknik penyuluhan dilakukan secara kelompok dengan demonstrasi cara, diskusi, dan pemutaran video prospek budidaya alpokat. Demonstrasi cara dapat memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas mengenai pembiakan vegetatif dengan teknik sambung pucuk dan pembuatan biostarter untuk mempercepat proses fermentasi limbah padat ternak sapi. Kegiatan diskusi dapat memunculkan interaksi dengan petani sehingga petani berpartisipasi aktif dan mampu membantu memecahkan permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini. Pemutaran video mengenai teknik budidaya alpokat membantu meyakinkan kelompok tani karena dapat menyaksikan secara langsung keberhasilan budidaya alpokat yang dilakukan dengan teknik yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dengan penyuluhan mampu mengubah pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan petani dalam melakukan budidaya alpokat. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani bertambah terutama dalam teknik sambung pucuk dan pembuatan biostarter. Petani dapat membuat pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan kotoran ternak yang banyak tersedia di sekitar rumah penduduk. Sikap petani juga mengalami perubahan, hal tersebut terlihat pada penggunaan pupuk organik padat oleh petani pada budidaya alpukat. Penggunaan pupuk organik padat mampu mengurangi biaya produksi dan meningkatkan pendapatan.

Abstract

Eucalyptus is a type of productive plant in the forestry sector which has a fairly important role in the essential oil industry. Farmers of Wonoharjo Village, Kemusu District, Boyolali Regency cultivate eucalyptus plants and process them into eucalyptus oil products independently. Eucalyptus farmers in Wonoharjo Village are members of the Wonolestari 1 and Wonolestari 2 Forest Farmer Groups (KTH) who are still experiencing problems in carrying out a product marketing system, especially in the utilization of communication technology. Therefore, it is necessary to assist farmers in marketing eucalyptus oil products. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education, assistance and training as an effort to increase the knowledge and skills of eucalyptus farmers in Wonoharjo Village in processing eucalyptus oil to have a high selling value by implementing online-based integrated marketing communications. The method of implementing service activities is carried out by preparing material handbooks, marketing socialization packaged through workshops, training, digital marketing communication practices with the preparatory and execution stages. The socialization activities carried out are able to increase the knowledge of eucalyptus oil farmers regarding digital marketing through several social media such as Instagram, Youtube and E-Commerce applications namely Shopee. Mentoring activities are expected to be able to increase product marketing by reaching consumers widely so that people's incomes also increase.
