Abstract

The implementation of this community service activity is motivated by a global issue that is currently developing, namely the spread of the COVID 19 virus. The spread of the virus, which also occurs in Ende district, has awakened various parties to implement a clean lifestyle, make efforts to prevent and break the chain of spread of the COVID 19 virus. One of these efforts is realized through this community service activity, namely by cleaning, socializing and spraying disinfectants in public areas. One of the areas that became the target of this dedication was the Jami At'Taqwa Onekore Ende Mosque. To achieve the goal of this Community Service activity is carried out through several approaches, including; 1) Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Model which emphasizes community involvement in all activities starting from planning, implementing and evaluating activity programs, 2) Participatory Technological Development Model which utilizes appropriate technology based on local knowledge and wisdom, 3) Model Community development is an approach that involves the community directly as the subject and object of implementation of community service activities, 4) Persuasive, namely an approach that is appeal and support without coercion for the community to take an active role in this activity, 5) Educative, namely the socialization, training and mentoring as a means of transferring knowledge and education. The results of the Social Service Activities for cleaning the environment of the Jami 'At-Taqwa Onekore Mosque can run well in accordance with the activity plan, namely cleaning the mosque environment, cleaning irrigation ditches, transporting garbage and spraying disinfectants. This is shown from the following conclusions; 1) All residents become enthusiastic training participants and have a good commitment to all the programs discussed before the activity for the sake of creating a sense of security and peace in worship in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, 2) There has been an increased understanding of the knowledge of the Covid 19 outbreak and how to maintain security self in minimizing outbreaks. Namely by means of 3M (Keeping Distance, Washing Hands and Wearing Masks), 3) A place of worship that is clean, safe and comfortable and has a safe distance limit mark in worship.

Abstract

Tiwutewa Village, about 16 km east of Ende City, has several objects that have the potential as cultural heritage. The purpose of this activity is to record objects that are suspected to have the potential to be cultural heritage objects. The method used is library research, observation and interviews. The results obtained, there are three objects that are suspected of being cultural heritage objects, namely: Tubumusu Oranata, Keda and Traditional Houses. These three objects are located precisely in the village of Kurumboro. In appearance the condition of these three objects is still well maintained because of the presence of the Mosalaki who have the task of guarding these sites. In addition, every year there are always traditional rituals centered on the three sites.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Dutch East Indies government saw the need to move Sukarno to a distant place and separate him from his political colleagues so that Sukarno could not carry out activities within his political parties that tried to oppose the Government. Ende, who is in the middle of Flores Island, is considered to be a suitable location to alienate this respected political figure. With a historical approach, this paper seeks to reveal the history of the formation of the Kelimutu Toneel Club which was formed by Soekarno during his exile in Ende from 1934-1938. The results showed that even though he was in a remote place and far from Java, Soekarno still fueled his fighting spirit by forming the Kelimutu Toneel Club, a drama group with a mission of struggle and a spirit of revolution. The drama was written by Soekarno himself and the actors were Soekarno's friends whom he met during his exile in Ende. With the help of his wife, Inggit Garnasih, adopted daughters of Ratna Juami and Kartika, as well as his mother-in-law Amsi and his friends, Soekarno succeeded in bringing up the theme of struggle in every performance of Toneel Club Kelimutu. Abstract

Abstract : Researchers have long been interested in studying the culture of the matrilineal marriage system, such as that of the Ngada tribe in the Flores archipelago, NTT. This matrilineal marriage system or Dongo Sa'o places women in a central position as guardians of the inheritance and women are the ones who have the right to decide the management of the inheritance. The husband is considered a good guest in the Sa'o or traditional house inherited from the wife's family and the children born in this marriage will follow the lineage of the mother. This is considered as a custom that has been determined by custom. This article discusses the uniqueness of the matrilineal marriage system that occurs in the Mangulewa village community, West Golewa District, Ngada Regency and the dynamics that arise because of these customary rules. Through an ethnographic approach, interviews and literature studies, it is known that the matrilineal marriage system in the Mangulewa village community is considered as for women because the rights and obligations attached to you guarantee the safety of their lives under any conditions. In the system of social strata that prevails in Ngada society in general, women in the matrilineal marriage system are still regarded as glorified figures. This can be seen from a series of stages of marriage, where at the approach stage will be started by the mother of the prospective groom and at the stage of proposing is also carried out by envoys consisting of women and the rights and obligations of husband and wife in this marriage bond. All stages of marriage must be inaugurated by custom or Zeza and affixed in the liturgical eucharistic ceremony at the Mater Dolorosa Mangulewa Parish Catholic Church. Abstract

This research is the Development of Integrated Social Studies Learning Tools Based on Local Wisdom to Develop Critical Thinking Skills and Characters of Junior High School Students (SMP). This type of research is educational development research (R&D) because it develops learning tools using the ADDIE Model. The subject of this research is a learning device based on local wisdom in improv a critical thinking power and character of students. The object of this research is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ende. The methods of data collection are giving tests, questionnaires, and documentation.The results showed: 1) the results of the second test showed changes in student activity in solving questions were in the high category of 50%; 2) For Critical Thinking, the results of the N-Gain test show that the score of 57.62% is in the medium category; 3) Characters of students are in the high category of 78.6%.Keywords: Learning Devices, Local Wisdom, CharacterAbstrak Penelitian ini adalah Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran IPS Terpadu Berbasis  Kearifan Lokal Untuk Menumbuhkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Karakter Peserta Didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan pendidikan (R&D) karena mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal dalam meningkatkan daya berpikir kritis dan karakter peserta didik. Yang menjadi obyek penelitian adalah anak SMP Negeri 2 Ende kelas VII. Metode pengumpulan data  dengan cara Pemberian Tes, Angket serta  Dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  : 1)hasil tes kedua menunjukan perubahan aktivitas peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal berada di  kategori tinggi sebesar 50%; 2) Untuk Berpikir Kritis peserta didik hasil uji N-Gain  hasilnya menunjukkan scorenya sebesar 57,62% berada dalam kategori sedang ; 3) Karakter Peserta Didik berada dalam kategori tinggi sebesar 78,6 %.Kata Kunci: Perangkat Pembelajaran, Kearifan Lokal, karakter

Abstract

Momoye, They Call Me is a historical biography of Jugun Ianfu whose entire contents include Mardiyem's acknowledgment as the main character in this book. In 1942-1945 when Japan took over Indonesia from Dutch rule, the Japanese military had forcibly recruited a number of Indonesian women to serve as biological needs for the Japanese military and civilians. This research is intended to explore the dark history of Jugun Ianfu according to Mardiyem's memory construction. Through critical historical tracing, the historical facts of Jugun Ianfu are interpreted in the hope that the Indonesian people, especially the younger generation, can learn about the dark history that befell Indonesian women as a result of the savagery of the Japanese occupation in Indonesia. This textual research can also be interpreted explicitly as a form of criticism of Indonesian historiography which has always marginalized women and silenced historical memories that should be studied by the younger generation of Indonesia. Theoretically, the concept of hermeneutics is very significant in interpreting the meaning of the history of human experience because this concept believes that empirical data shows patterns that give special meaning to human experience. Hermeneutically, Mardiyem's statement in her biography is the most likely textual strategy to provide a different perspective on the dark side of history faced by women during the Japanese occupation in Indonesia.

Abstract

The conquest of Malacca in 1511 by the Portuguese became the gateway for Portuguese trading ships to the Maluku and Banda islands in search of spices. This shipping route continued to the islands of Timor and Flores with the same mission until finally capturing important ports in the archipelago as a stepping stone to controlling the spice trade in the archipelago. The mission of spreading religious teachings was also one of the important tasks of the colonialists, and to maintain their existence they built various forts as a defense mechanism. One of the forts that was considered part of Indonesia's spice route was the Portuguese fort on Ende Island. By using a historical approach, this research is intended to reveal historical events in the context of the establishment of a fort by the Portuguese on Ende Island and examine the position of this historical site for the people of Ende Island today. In this way, it is hoped that this historical relic from the past can continue to maintain its existence as a characteristic and proof of the struggle of the Indonesian people to win the independence of their homeland.

Abstract

Secara faktual ada banyak polemik, perbedaan, dan pertentangan gagasan atas fakta sejarah yang memungkinkan bangsa Indonesia sampai ke gerbang kemerdekaan. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah dapat menjadi instrumen intelektual yang sangat strategis. Betapapun demikian, pada level praksis tantangan yang paling rumit saat ini dan ke depannya adalah apakah kita mampu memperbaiki segala persoalan yang terjadi selama ini dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Berpijak pada pertanyaan hipotetis itulah, maka guru sejarah juga harus mampu “meracik” pelajaran sejarah menjadi lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Misalnya mengadaptasi materi sejarah lokal ke dalam pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah agar mampu mendorong peserta didik dekat dengan kenyataan dan tidak melupakan sejarah lokal. Membangun pemahaman siswa tentang sejarah lokal melalui metode Scaffolding dapat mengembangkan wawasan sejarah lokal yang dimilikinya secara optimal. Sejarah lokal dapat berfungsi sebagai salah satu sumber sejarah nasional yang perlu dieksplorasi secara saintifik. Analoginya, sejarah lokal dapat menjadi mata air sumur yang tak kunjung kering di musim kemarau yang mempresentasikan nilai-nilai kebijaksanaan bagi perwujudan cita-cita bangsa. Sejarah lokal dapat memperkaya materi pelajaran sejarah dan menumbuhkan minat siswa dalam belajar sejarah. Tulisan ini mencoba menguraikan bagaimana implementasi dari metode Scaffolding dalam pembelajaran sejarah lokal di sekolah.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk dan apa makna ritual Kai Awu dalam tataberladang tradisional di Lanadokura Desa Kurulimbu Selatan Kecamatan Ndona Timur Kabupaten Ende. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan mengungkapkan makna ritual Kai Awu dalam tata berladang tradisional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui: observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk analisis data penelitigunakan model interaktifmelaluitahapan: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, danverifikasi. /kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di LandokuraDesaKurulimbu sangat yakin dan percaya kepada wujud tertinggi (Du,a Lulu Wula Ngga,e Ghale Wena Tana) dan leluhur yang akan memberi hasil berlimpah dan dijauhkan dari segala bencana dan malapetaka. Ritual Kai Awu bermakna solidaritas yakni dapat menciptakan rasa persaudaraan dan kekeluargaan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana proses pelaksanaan ritual Kelas pada masyarakat Desa Wejang Nendong Kecamatan Poco Ranaka Timur Kabupaten Manggarai Timur, 2) Apakah manfaat dan pentingnya melaksanakan ritual kelas dalam sistem budaya Manggarai khususnya pada Masyarakat Desa Wejang Nendong, Kecamatan Pocoranaka Timur, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses ritual Kelas di masyarakat Desa Wejang Nendong Kecamatan Poco Ranaka Timur Kabupaten Manggarai Timur dan Untuk mengetahui manfaat dan pentingnya ritual Kelas dalam sistem budaya Manggarai kususnyua di Desa Wejang Nendong, Kecamatan Pocoranaka Timur. Penelitian ini dikategorikan dalam model penelitiaan kualitatif deskriptif yaitu suatu jenis penelitian yang berusaha mendapatkan pengetahuan yang didasarkan pada data-data primer dan sekunder. subjek penelitian ini adalah Tua Teno Tua Golo, dan Tua Kilo sebagai informan kunci 3 (tiga) orang dan tokoh masyarakat (3 orang) sebagai informan pendukung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah : 1) pengumpulan data, 2) data reduction (mereduksi data), 3) data display 4) conciusion (verifikasi) Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: Ritual Kelas (kenduri kematian) terdiri dari tiga bagian yaitu: sebelum pelaksanaan ritual Kelas, upaca Kelas berlangsung, akhir dari ritual Kelas. Tahap awal sebelum ritual Kelas yaitu pertemuan seluruh kepala keluarga one (keluarga dalam/keluarga yang mau melaksanakan ritual Kelas). tahap yang kedua yaitu sidang latang anak wina (tanggungan pihak perempuan), dan tombo kamping anak rona (berbicara dengan pihak pemberi gadis) tahap yang ketiga yaitu pelaksanaan ritua Kelas dan tahap yang terakir yaitu wali anak rona (mmbayar semua benda yng diantar oleh pihak anak rona dengan uang yang jumlahya melebhi harga nominal benda tersebut) dan weit (ungkapa terima kasih berupa beras dan daging). Ritual Kelas penting dilakukan, karena sebagai bentuk penghormatan terakir kepada leluhur. Selain penghrmatan, upacara kelas juga sebagai ungkapan permohonan maaf kepada leluhur karena sewaktu hidup bersama, secara sadar atau tidak sadar kita melakukan kesalahan. Masyarakat desa Wejang Nendong meyakini dengan melaksanakan ritual ini mereka akn diberkati oleh leluhur dan diberikan penghasilan yang secukupnya.
