Abstract

A leader, in any level, is a main figure to determine a success of the desire of an organization. A leader who attends as an influential resource, an organizer resource, an action resource as well as a directive resource who guide the members to arrange strategic steps, logical and reasonable in order to get the intention of organization that is agreed together. The board of OSIS and the management of the class at the Government Senior Hight School (SMAN) in Welamosa is a collection of the energic young figures who have good competence and self-competence to become a great leader in the future. They are internally considered have specific competence to become leader for they friends, so they are elected as well as determined by the school democratizely to become a leader because they have a certain competence to work together and control the institution education as well. The election is an opportunity which has to be run professionally and responsible. Before starting to run their leadership, it is necessary and important to build them with the basic consepts about the rightist leaderships for the institution in the future. That is why, they have to run a specific activity such as Basic Training Leadership (LKTD). With this activity the whole participants are very expected will be more self awareness about various kinds of self-competence which have been planted in themselves and gradually accordance with the development of biologis, cognitive, affective and also phichomotorics have to try to bring into reality for the importance of the school as well as the societies. This activity uses the reflective analyses method. By this method, the whole participants are invited to see and to take into account the leadership training well and has to try to implementate at school. The analyses method is a very good method to run the school or to manage an education institute well at the Government Senior High School in Welamosa.

Abstract

The communication media  as a work of human beings reason from time to time has a very rapidly progress together with the growth and the development of new innovations in the world of the digital technology. This progress is a  certainty that must be received by the human beings who are in a strong mind and conscience awareness that communication media is so sophisticated but remains as a means of the development of the human beings civilization. This awareness gradually can be expected to encourage human beings in order to place themselves appropriately as the subject of the  development of the communication media itself through a rational and an accurate filtering process against negative influences that can threaten with human beings civilization. One of the institutions is threatened with the negative  influences of the communicaton media is family. At first the family gets a respected  position as a socialization agent about the values of life is now experiencing decline of function as well as its role because the majority of the family members are now snared because of the negative influences of the communication  media. The sympathetic as well as the  empathetic atmosphere are used to be the first decoration in the  house and now  is just becoming a nice memory but sadden. The fascination  is too axtreme makes each of the family member of the communication media and finally appear some attitudes as well as behaviours that don,t go with the values of solidarity and the family as well. At last, this problem lets grow as well  as develop without striving for preventive and curative of the various social elements. This meant preparing a show of a destruction of the generation in the future. Therefore, the whole sides are expected to their involvement to be a foremost line in preventing efforts. On the basis, the Paroki St. Yosef Onekore is also moved at giving the basics  correct of comprehension to the parents in the catechetical activities  that the communication media is actually just a means of using it to proclaim the King of God.

Abstract

The pride of being a true Catholic has gone down and also has been the symptom among the Catholic students nowadays.  The feeling of the Catholicsm with various of special charachteristics and uniqueness has not enchanted and made the Catholic students proud anymore. They  were bored and were uninterested in reek of religion and spiritual  as well.  The Catholic students  should become chief action or chief moving spirit of the pivotal strength of the Church-life in the future, but to be  pitfallen slowly or step by step in the crisis of identity of the prolonged Catholicsm. This crisis was caused by their unability to have a certain attitude critically and wisely, accompanied by a gale made the values of secularism that shook various kinds of order belief of the Catholic that has been  handed down from one generation to the other. Let the situation has been walking without efforts to overcome it.  This condition perhaps  would like to destroy the future of the Catholic students. To reply the hindrances needed lots of people to participate actively to give guidance to the them in order to reach the right way. The institute of the highest education as well as the local church are a very important people who must be the right handmen  of them. Both of the institutions have to be one mind and sharing in the same struggle to make yourselves appearance or present yourselves as a shepherd to search, to find, and to guide them as the Lambs who have lost their ways to the right ways. The cooperation between two institutions must bear various kinds of contextual activities as well as useful for developing attitude and individuality of them in the future. The activity of spiritual guidance can be done in preparation Parish of St. Marinus Puu’rere is the result of a concern apprehensive together in order to hand them in order that in the middle of a tremendous storm attacking the  values of the terrific secularism, the catholic students remained  proud of and militant to spout the characteristic of their catholicsm as the light candle for a lot of people through thought, words, and acts which they have done.

Abstract

The problem raised in this study is how the procedure of reba ritual in the Bhajawa ethnic farming community, Jawa Meze Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the reba ritual in the Bhajawa ethnic farming community, Jawa Meze Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are as follows: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the form of reba ritual management has been patterned in the Bhajawa ethnic tradition which is a total unity, implemented in a tradition that is oriented to the past and has a great influence. The procedures for the reba ritual are as follows: Wasi Loka Lanu (cleaning the offerings), Bui Loka (giving dishes) accompanied by a request to the ancestors and the Supreme Wujut, Kobe Dheke (opening night of the reba) starting with the slaughter of the sacrificial animal accompanied by a request to the ancestors and the highest Wujut and lowering the bhoka and su'a from the storage area, (the storage area above the body eye), Kobhe Dhoy (closing night). Kobe Dhoy began with the slaughter of the sacrificial animal accompanied by a request to the ancestors and the Supreme Wujut. This opportunity is usually used to evaluate and plan ana woe (tribal) activities for a year.

Abstract

The problem raised in this paper is as follows: how is the origin of Woe Jawa (Javanese) in Beiwali Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency, NTT. The purpose of writing is to describe the history of Woe Jawa (Javanese) in Beiwali Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency, NTT. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are as follows: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the historical traces of Woe Jawa (Javanese) in Beiwali Village, Bajawa District, Ngada Regency, NTT are told on a long journey from their ancestral land, woe Jawa (Javanese) came from the Back Indies (Yunan). At that time it was estimated that the ancestors of Woe Jawa (Javanese) were pressured by other tribes so that they looked for a better life. On the way, they broke through the wilderness and crossed the ocean and stopped at several places before entering the island of Flores, the land of Ngada, among others: Sumatra, Java in the land of Java, the ancestors of the Javanese woe lived a long time and had children and grandchildren and then migrated to Sumbawa. then they go to Wio (Sumba) in Sumba they live sedentary for a while then they go to tiwa lina (calm and shady beach) Aimere beach (wae mokel) Flores Island, when the wae mokel river overflows the ancestors of woe Jawa (Javanese) moved to the east settled in Bo Jawa Meze (location of Aimere) and then they moved to Tana Dua (fertile land). The fertile land in question is the land of Ngada.

Abstract

The world has become a field of life successively, era after age has passed, generation after generation has disappeared as the saying goes that everything that dies will leave something precious to the generation in front of it. This fact is represented in a meaningful historical story. Consciously or unconsciously, what our predecessors pioneered is a motivation for us to move forward in overcoming various problems or problems of the nation. We as citizens of course know and know the history of the nation and country properly and correctly. Through history allows us to know the past of our nation and country. By knowing the past, we can take lessons from these events to draw conclusions. Badrika (1994:4) states that history contains three meanings as follows: (1) history as genealogy or origin (2) history means events or events that actually happened in the past, (3) history means science, stories lessons about the past. Kartodirjo (1992: 287) put forward his main argument that in essence history provides a picture for humans in observing and changing the world in the present and the future. Based on observations on historical events in the past, people will recognize, appreciate and understand the rules that can be used as material for thinking and acting to advance human life and the universe in the present and even for the future.

Abstract

Abstract : Researchers have long been interested in studying the culture of the matrilineal marriage system, such as that of the Ngada tribe in the Flores archipelago, NTT. This matrilineal marriage system or Dongo Sa'o places women in a central position as guardians of the inheritance and women are the ones who have the right to decide the management of the inheritance. The husband is considered a good guest in the Sa'o or traditional house inherited from the wife's family and the children born in this marriage will follow the lineage of the mother. This is considered as a custom that has been determined by custom. This article discusses the uniqueness of the matrilineal marriage system that occurs in the Mangulewa village community, West Golewa District, Ngada Regency and the dynamics that arise because of these customary rules. Through an ethnographic approach, interviews and literature studies, it is known that the matrilineal marriage system in the Mangulewa village community is considered as for women because the rights and obligations attached to you guarantee the safety of their lives under any conditions. In the system of social strata that prevails in Ngada society in general, women in the matrilineal marriage system are still regarded as glorified figures. This can be seen from a series of stages of marriage, where at the approach stage will be started by the mother of the prospective groom and at the stage of proposing is also carried out by envoys consisting of women and the rights and obligations of husband and wife in this marriage bond. All stages of marriage must be inaugurated by custom or Zeza and affixed in the liturgical eucharistic ceremony at the Mater Dolorosa Mangulewa Parish Catholic Church. Abstract

Tujuan untuk mengetahui makna wawi api ara plangan  dalam perkawinan adat di desa Nen Bura Kecamatan Doreng Kabupaten Sikka. Teori yang dipakai adalah teori “makna” yang digagas oleh  Satyanada. Metode penelitian yang digunakana dalam metode penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan penelitian  deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data adalah  wawancara,dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini, yaitu: 1) redukasi data (data pencarian) 2) display data (penyajian data) 3) vertifikasi (kesimpulan ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat masih berpegang teguh kepada adat istadat,  khususnya dalam perkawinan adat. Makna wawi api ara plangan sebagai berikut: makna religi, makna sosial, makna budaya. Makna religi tersirat doa-doa permohonan pada WujutTertinggi dan restu leluhur. Makna sosial mengatur relasi antara manusia dengan manusia, manusia dengan leluhurnya. Makna kebudayaan.  Pelaksanaan wawi api ara plangan dimaknai secara budaya oleh masyarakat desa Nen Bura sebagai pengetahuan atau ajaran leluhur yang perlu di wariskan dan dipertahankan sebagai bentuk pertanggungjawaban masyarakat Nen Bura kepada amanat leluhurnya.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan adalah mengetahui struktur woe jawa (suku Jawa) di desa Bei Wali Kecamatan Bhajawa Kabupaten Ngadha. Methode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, Teknik analisis data sebagai berikut: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: woe jawa adalah salah satu organisasi sosial geneologis, sama halnya dengan woe-woe lain yang ada pada suku bangsa Ngada, khususnya masyarakat penganut budaya ngadhu bhaga. Woe jawa sebagai sebuah organisasi, maka woe jawa memiliki struktur yang menjadi pedoman untuk mengatur kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi dalam persekutuannya.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah apa fungsi moke dalam menjaga nilai-nilai tradisi dan kekeluargaan pada komunitas adat di Desa Lisedetu Kecamatan Wolowaru Kabupaten Ende? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui fungsi moke dalam menjaga nilai-nilai tradisi dan kekeluargaan pada komunitas adat di Desa Lisedetu Kecamatan Wolowaru Kabupaten Ende. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik abservasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, 3) penyajian data, 4) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi minuman moke telah menjadi kebudayaan yang sangat melekat pada ciri khas masyarakat Nusa Tenggara Timur di Kabupaten Ende khususnya di Desa Lisedetu. Kebiasaan mengkonsumsi moke sudah cukup meluas di masyarakat. Kebiasaan ini selain banyak dijumpai di acara adat, pesta sambut baru, acara nikah dan hajat-hajat lainnya sudah dianggap sebagai minuman tradisional dan wajib disajikan pada saat upacara adat di setiap kampung. Moke juga memiliki makna sebagai simbol penghormatan terhadap leluhur, simbol persaudaraan dan warisan budaya dan juga memiliki nilai-nilai keharmonisan dan nilai ekonomis dalam konteks adat masyarakat desa Lisedetu.
